And honestly, that's the main reason people are here. The staff has also always been pretty friendly to me. Quick hello, polite interaction, no weird energy. In the gas station universe, where customer service can range anywhere from "pleasant" to "human hostage situation," that actually stands out. Now for the convenience store portion of the program. It exists. The selection inside is a little limited compared to other stations nearby. So the employee took it upon himself and assumed that she lifted something from the store. In his defense she came into the store and walked out. Now, he asked her to comeback into the store because she forgot to pay for something. My granddaughter told him she didn't take anything. So he made her wait until he watched the video of her inside the store. My granddaughter said the video didn't show her taking anything. She called me crying and very upset about the situation because she has never stolen anything in her life. And this employee didn't even apologize. Never again will we patronize the business.

At this point, hearing "it's good to see you sir" from him in the morning is part of the routine. And honestly, a morning without Shaheed greeting customers is like a morning without sunshine... or worse... caffeine. This isn't the newest 7-Eleven. It's not the fanciest either. But somehow it's still the best one around. The place stays clean, the shelves are stocked better than most convenience stores, and they always seem to have what you forgot you needed. Today's breakfast was a marble pound cake and an orange juice, which felt like the kind of breakfast decision that would disappoint a nutritionist but impress my inner 12 year old. I've had just about everything here over the years and it's all consistently solid. Nobody's handing out Michelin stars for roller grill items, but for a neighborhood 7-Eleven? Easy four stars. There is a pharmacy, an electronics department, a bakery, a food court and a tire center. I have had many tires repaired and purchased from them. Costco's tire center is professional, efficient and trustworthy. The food court is a must go to with the iconic $1.50 hot dog special with a drink. Again, I definitely recommend this Costco and its overall value. The yearly membership fee is worth every penny.
