I paid for disability insurance with this company for 30 years. There were a few times that I could…read morehave filed a claim but decided I wouldn't file unless I was totally and permanently disabled. In other words, a perfect customer (fool) for them. Now that I have attained a certain age, they decided to elect not to renew coverage, based on my age. Even though they took my money beyond that birthday. And now they make me wait for their snail processes to fill out a form to request my policy be cancelled and prorated / refunded back to that date. Will they do that? Nope. Not until they receive the form. Even though I already emailed them and called them multiple times. Nope. They need their OFFICIAL form before they can act. And any refund will be on the date they decide, after they receive the official form. No doubt they are bleeding money due to all those who "died suddenly" ... But being an insurance company, they will nickel and dime the fools who remain so they can keep their pensions. Also note that there is a class action suit against them for cancelling long-term life insurance policies because they aren't profitable. Gee, seems that since they have the money from YEARS of premiums, perhaps they owe the policyholders that life insurance payout that we all knew was coming one day. OH they didn't know? Funny that. Illinois Mutual actuaries and decision makers, how DO you sleep at night?

I had full coverage insurance through Gina Martin, thought I was covered in the event of an accident, yet when a motorcycle t boned my car from a stop sign they went to early from, I got convinced to do a third party insurance claim and got told I could use my insurance at any time if I got over whelmed doing it in my own. I got overwhelmed, got told by the total loss department employee from American family insurance. I was stupid for not using my insurance this is what theyre. paid for, after getting told this, I went to my insurance and said I'm ready to use my insurance and they told me that my insurance claim would be denied because the other insurance already accepted 100% faullt. My only fault I would change about this whole thing would've been never getting insurance through Gina Martin for when it came time to use my insurance that you hope you never have to use. I got anything but trustworthy help.
