WOW! My family and I stayed the night in the area during a road trip, and we stumbled upon this restaurant. We were so happy we did! We ordered butter chicken, lamb masala, chicken biryani, tandoori chicken, some vegetable dishes, and garlic naan. Literally everything was on point! I almost find it ironic that one of the best Indian food I've ever had is somewhat in the middle of nowhere. Excellent flavor in all the dishes! Just a heads up--we ordered everything mild spice level, but my mom couldn't handle it. So if you don't have spice tolerance, just be aware. It's also good to keep in mind that everything is made to order. So you're getting a fresh, homestyle meal. There might be a wait, but it's well worth it! They do get busy, so please be patient. Wells is a very small town with limited dining options. We found ourselves in an overnight stay during a road trip and were able to walk here from the hotel. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the mango chicken, chicken vindaloo, rice, garlic naan. The service was quick and the portions were generous enough that we had enough for a meal the next day. Others have indicated that the restaurant was loud but we didn't have that experience. We sat under the tv which had music playing. The food taste was decent, but the customer service was terrible. The female cashier was incredibly rude and constantly blamed her coworker for the late order delivery, instead of taking responsibility for their mistake. Waited an hour for the food to be made. Ordered chicken tikka masala and butter chicken. Each container of food had about 5 pieces of chicken and about huge amount of sauce. Paid like $60 for butter sauce and tikka sauce. Never again. For shame. read more

Food was great - I got my favorite veggie dish - bhindi masala, with my favorite side, garlic naan. Naan is on the thinner crispier side. Nice and flavorful. Service was slower than expected, I think it took 20-30min for food to arrive despite the restaurant being pretty empty (only 2 other small tables). I think they were busy with take out/drive thru orders. Mango lassi was served in a glass which is great because I hate when they come in a plastic cup. I don't like microplastics so I try to avoid using a straw whenever possible. Would come back and probably ask for spicy. They forgot to ask me for spice level and I forgot to ask them for spice. I was driving to Idaho Falls to visit my son and his family. I suddenly had the urge to find in the middle of nowhere (no disrespect at all intended) an Indian restaurant. I did a google search and found a delightful family friendly restaurant serving good food. Right off Interstate 80 with a picturesque view of the mountains and in close proximity to an Hampton Inn. The food was terrific and served well. The truckers that do the heavy lifting for us consumers get to park their massive beasts in the parking lot and enjoy some authentic freshly prepared food. I was just passing through and staying in Wells for just a night. Usually on trips like this, I end up getting just burgers or pizza. However, I saw the Sher-E right by my hotel, so I wanted to give it a try. This was honestly some of the best Indian food I've ever had. The lamb korma was perfectly flavored with just the right amount of spice. The rice was fluffy and flavorful. The garlic naan certainly had plenty of garlic on it and was prepared just right -- a little crispness but still with some soft parts that could soak up some of that amazing sauce from the Lamb Korma. The food was AMAZING, maybe the best Indian food I've ever had, and there is plenty where I cone from (socal). Lamb Karahi was to die for. I wouldn't be surprised if the lamb was locally raised, it was so fresh and tender. Who would've expected fantastic Indian food in Wells Nevada? After searching around it was clear. This was the hands-down choice for lunch today. We had it into the restaurant around 2 o'clock this afternoon and we were the only patrons there although they were doing a brisk takeout business. The service was gracious the young man who waited on us insisted on us having some chai tea since it was a very cold day, the chai was delicious and it warmed up our hands as we waited for our food. We ordered samosas for an appetizer, garlic, naan, and chickened Vindaloo as the main course accompanied by basmati rice. Wow, I have to say I haven't had such good Indian food in such a long time. The garlic naan was light and flavor full. The basmati rice was super fluffy and delicious and the chicken vindaloo was perfect on a cold day. Really hit the spot. Perfect spice level. We got a mango lawsuit to go for our ride up to Idaho. If you find yourself in Wells off of the 93 or 80 in interstate, it is such a convenient place to stop and have a delicious Meal. I love the totally legit vibe about this place with the Indian music blurring in the background and them doing their weekly kitchen cleaning it was awesome. When I heard an Indian food restaurant was opening in Wells of all places, I could barely contain my excitement. Indian food is one of my favorites, so making the 45 min drive from Elko is worth it in my book. Yet it just so happens my kids baseball game against Wells, landed us in the perfect position to have dinner there a few weeks ago. First of all, I ordered three orders of Garlic Naan Bread with zero regrets. You have to get that with every meal. Next, I got an order of Vegetable Samosas. Fluffy deep-fried pillows of potato and peas with curry spices dipped in mint chutney. It's my go to appetizer. Finally I ordered Butter Chicken, my son ordered Shrimp Tikka Masala, and my boyfriend ordered the Chicken Biryani. My entrée, and my son's entrée come with rice to scoop the lovely meat and gravy over and eat with the bread. The dishes were all so well crafted and seasoned perfectly, not too spicy. My boyfriend got the Biryani thinking he wouldn't like any of the other ones, but then after trying mine, he decided he actually liked mine more! He said he was surprised that he liked it and would definitely eat it again (he's picky). I have to say it was so delicious that I can't wait until another baseball game lands us in Wells... or I force my family to drive to the 45 minutes out there with me because I just like it so much... maybe on Mother's Day!!!! All I can say is wow. I was it expecting to have the best Indian food of my life at a truck stop in Wells, NV...but here we are. The folks that work here are extending friendly and take a lot of pride in the food they put out. It may take a little while for your order, that's cause they are cooking everything made to order. Seriously amazing food. This might sound surprising, but I've found north Indian food in the bay area rather meh. This was such a surprise. Loved it. It reminded me of Vancouver, where I've found the best Indian food. I would highly recommend a stop here on your way to Reno or even a detour from Tahoe. The staff is very helpful. I really liked the look of the place, it gave a dhaba feel (roadside Indian restaurant). Zena was the hostess, and she was very accommodating and got us vegan options from the menu. I never expected amazing Indian food while driving through the middle of nowhere. The gentleman who took my order was so kind. The first time through I ordered rice, onion naan and saag palak, medium spice. I enjoy spice, and medium was almost too much. Wow wow wow, who would have thought fantastic authentic East Indian food in Wells Nevada!! Omg so delicious we have eaten Indian food all over the world and coast to coast in USA. This cute little (basically truck stop diner) was the bomb. All three dishes we had were spot on and delicious spice level hot was right on for us not so hot to mask flavors but enough to enjoy the dishes. Now the garlic naan was without a doubt possibly the best we've ever eaten.
