Recently stayed at the Hotel Haffner and was very happy with the accommodations. This property was…read morerecommended by a local sales rep who I would be traveling with during the week. Arrived on Sunday and took a short 25min taxi ride from the airport (no shuttle available at that time). The room was large by European standards and included free internet which worked very well. The great surprise was its location to the Baltic Sea and the Sopot beach - only about 1km. It took us about 30mins to walk to the Sopot Pier which was recently featured on the Amazing Race (see picture). It was great seeing all the families out on a Sunday afternoon enjoying a beautiful afternoon and several outdoor restaurants. After walking back to the hotel we went to the bar for a late and light dinner. Sat at the bar and interacted with a very friendly bartender. He suggested a couple of local beers and apps which were very good. Went up to the room and enjoyed a quiet night in a very comfortable bed. Room was very clean and the free bottled water was a nice touch. Breakfast buffet the next morning was good, but as usual I ate too much. Hard to walk by all the local items without a little taste. Looking forward to my next trip to Poland and my next stay at Hotel Haffner.

As for the facility it self, it's just ok. I am not to fond of hotels with old carpet, and this one had lots of stains in the hall ways. The rooms are fine, but they do have carpet as well. I like that they have bath tubs rather than stand-alone showers. My bed was a twin size, which is much smaller than what I am used to in hotels - but it was fine. The rooms do not have irons. I don't know if this is common for the area or not, but definitely not something I'm used to. If your clothes are wrinkled (which mine always are), you need to go use the ironing room on the 9th floor. It's a room with 2 irons and 2 boards available for the entire hotel. They could probably improve on that as well. The breakfast buffet is pretty good with lots of choices. So, thumbs up there. * Unfortunately, I didn't get in pics, but you can see them on the website. Paul was instrumental in helping me get my checked in luggage back, which had gotten lost during my flight here. I reserved the balcony suite, which far exceeded my expectations. I could see the clock tower and St Mary's church from my bedroom! Hands down the best hotel experience in my life! The bathroom is very nice. I like that it comes with hand soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The complimentary breakfast is decent. Plenty of outlets in the bedroom to charge my devices. The hotel location cannot be beat. It is located right next to Dluga street which is where Neptune's fountain is located. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a beautiful clean hotel stay with excellent customer service in the heart of Gdańsk!

The staff in the rooftop bar and in the restaurant genuinely seemed like they did not want our business. Both were empty and both times my family and I were dumbfounded at the lack of care to assist us. We had to ask if it was open then asked if we could switch tables in which we got a nasty "nie"- no. I will not be returning to this hotel frankly due to the less than professional staff working the hotel (save the few courteous people at the front desk). Not sure if it was the fact that we are foreigners to this country, or simply a lack of charm, but a very sad experience here. Hotel sufficed if you had no human interactions with the staff.

The reception hall invites you to the bar and dining area where breakfast and other meals are served during the day. The bar is well equipped and they can offer what you need depending of the mood.... The breakfast was good and they had no problem to arrange gluten free bread for me.
