Please note: this is not a full MaisOui Le Frenchy detailed review. I did not come to the Sheraton Paris Charles de Gaulle to be charmed. I came because my flight departs at an hour that would offend any self-respecting Frenchman, and the alternative -- a taxi through the périphérique at 4h30 -- is a form of suffering I reserve for my enemies. What I found, I will reluctantly admit, was adequate. More than adequate, which is its own kind of surprise. The room is generous. A proper bed -- not the narrow apology for a mattress one finds in lesser airport hotels -- a desk large enough to actually work at, and the rare luxury of both a shower and a bath. At first glance, the room presented itself as clean. I did not look closely. That inspection, I reserve for another occasion. I am a critic, not an auditor. The bar and restaurant are present and respectable. The staff at the front desk were courteous without being theatrical about it. The bellman was helpful without requiring direction. This is rarer than it should be. But the true distinction of this hotel -- and I say this as someone who finds airport hotels philosophically depressing -- is that it sits inside the terminal. You do not leave the hotel and face the indignity of shuttles, signage, or the open sky at an hour when no sky should be witnessed. You leave the hotel and you are, simply, already there. For an early departure, this is not a convenience. It is a mercy. Five stars -- for what it is. An airport hotel that does its job with unexpected dignity. The convenience of this place cannot be overstated. You're onsite at the airport (CDG) and in terminal 2. If you've only arrive via the RER, it is at the top floor of the terminal when you've exited the station. If you're flying out the next morning, you can roll out of bed, check your luggage, head through immigration and to the gate without dealing with a cab, public transportation or traffic. The staff were friendly and the room was nice. What's more is that it was quiet (I was amazed!) and we actually got a good night's sleep before our flight home. We didn't try any of the restaurants, but if we needed a meal, food is available in the hotel restaurant . read more

Convenient would be the word that I would describe this hotel. Centrally located in the airport and the RER train line. The hotel is average as the rooms are clean but comes with furnishings from the 80's, 1980's that is. Quick 411: PRO'S: 1. Located in terminal 2C. Makes check-in easy. 2. RER Train to Paris is located downstairs from the hotel. 3. Delicious breakfast buffet offered for a price, but worth it 4. 24-hour fitness center 5. Decent lounge open to VIP guests. 6. Shower water pressure is strong. CONS: 1. Pricey rooms for outdated furnishings 2. Bathtub walls are extremely high. I want to soak in the tub, not climb Mount Everest 3. Limited English channels on the TV 4. The VIP lounge closes at 830pm sharp, way too early. 5. 24-hour fitness center has limited equipment 6. The mini bar in the room only has water, soda, and juice. You would think alcohol would be included. It is not. Mini bar is supposed to be re-stocked daily. It was not. 7. No USB outlets and minimal wall outlets. 8. Rooms are small and bed too soft. If I ever return to Paris, this hotel would not be my first choice. read more

This Sheraton has location, location, location, right next to the CDG International Terminal 2. It was convenient for a last night in France with an early morning flight the next day. The good stuff: Every room is soundproofed, so it is a quiet place. The beds are super comfortable. The restaurants offer food and drinks 24/7. Staff is very accommodating and make you feel special. Breakfast buffet is extensive and very well done. The not so good stuff: It is expensive food wise and room wise. Room decor and the hotel appear to be of the 1960s vintage -- its cool, but starting to show that a make over will soon be needed. read more

This was my 3rd stay at Sheraton CDG and sadly I feel it will be my last. We stay here when we have an early flight or will only be in Paris for a couples of nights. The convenience of this hotel is everything! You are in CDG - Terminal 2 which has restaurants and shopping. Also, the RER train is directly downstairs from the hotel so you can hop on a train and be off to any landmark in Paris or anywhere else in France for that matter. Late night buses also drop you off at the hotel's terminal if you find yourself in Paris late. There is a Paul and a Starbucks downstairs for early morning coffee. When flying out, you can forget about the mad rush of getting to the airport because your hotel is a simple CDV tram ride to Terminal 1 to check your luggage and get thru security to your gate. The employees are very welcoming, helpful and accommodating. They even got me a room early as my International Flight got me in way before check in time. There is a restaurant on site but it is very expensive and the food is very underwhelming. They also have a bar/lounge. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were fluffy and comfy. The rooms are really quiet, a nice size with plenty of closet and storage space. There is no personal use refrigerators for leftovers just a cash mini bar for refreshments that you cannot move or be charged for them. For the price of the rooms, you would think they could afford to update the hotel. It is in DIRE need of a complete overhaul! The furniture in the lobby is actually shredded, worn and torn. There are stains on the carpet and areas of it actually coming up. The wood in the rooms is peeling and the room chaise was stained and smelled. My room had a very musty smell and it took a while to air out every time I returned to the room. The bathroom grout looks yellow and a bit rusty. The shower is up high and you have to step up to get inside of it and there aren't any balance bars. This is fine for us but for those with mobility issues, this can be troublesome. The bathroom didnt feel or smell clean even after housekeeping came. The bathroom toiletries were not consistently re stocked either. I had to ask for Kleenex when the dispenser was obviously empty. The iron in the room was so outdated and barely worked. I absolutely love the location of this hotel and I feel that is what keeps people coming back but come on Sheraton! UPGRADE THIS HOTEL! Really busy airport and this hotel provides you with an oasis in the midst of all the foot traffic and the planes. We decided to spend our last night in Paris in this hotel became our flight would be leaving at 8:00 am. I did not want to deal with the Parisian traffic to the airport. Located in the middle of sprawling CDG airport, this Sheraton offers a convenient spot for an early (or late flight). We book d 3 rooms and stayed one night in early August after a week-long trip to burgundy and Alsace. We arrived from Alsace by TGV high speed train directly to the RER station at the airport. The hotel is located just above the station - just go up about three escalators and it's right there-it could NOT be easier or more convenient. While the rooms aren't the most up to date-older bathrooms, single sink, huge weird built in desk and limited access to electrical outlets, it was clean, had a comfy bed and was VERY quiet-no airport noise at all despite being located directly in the center of terminal two. Plus it was only like a 5-minute walk to our Delta gate in 2 E. It's convenience alone is enough to get it 4 stars after a week and a half of travel across France. The super friendly, English speaking gentleman at the front desk even was thoughtful enough to assign us 3 rooms in a row when I checked in earlier online on the app. While there are a couple of restaurants in the hotel as well, they were just ok (service-wise, food was decent) and had it just been my wife and me, we probably would have dropped the luggage in the room and jumped back on a trip and gone into the city. read more

I travel pretty often for work so I've stayed at this particular hotel three times this year. Though I've stayed in five star chateaus and other luxury hotels, the Sheraton gets four stars for consistency, helpful staff, the best breakfast buffet and best sleeping conditions. I always sleep the best here because the beds are soft, the hotel pillows are fluffy and cold, I can black out the room and the rooms are quiet. I definitely think the thermostat is a placebo because when I tried to cool the room down for rest, I didn't feel any cool air coming out of the vents. Breakfast buffet! Again, compared to several other places where I've had gourmet breakfasts, they served THE best croissants. They were exceptionally flaky and buttery. Pro-tip, get down early if you want any specialty coffee as the machine tends to run out close to 9:30am. The staff has experienced any number of wild requests, but they've been very good at going that extra mile to keep guests happy. Most recently we arrived with a large group. We planned on arriving at staggered times to make time for baggage handling but we came all at once. By the time all guest bags had been delivered, the restaurant was closed and we stood there starving. We made our case to the concierge since we had our hearts set on burgers and beer. Lucky for us, we received 4 cheeseburgers via room service. After a long day it was the best burger I could wish for! Thanks Sheraton, no doubt I'll be back in a few months! read more

Literally at the side of a terminal. I was surprised how it was smack dab in the middle of the airport. Great idea for early flight and no drama or hassel. Staff bilingual and very kind in getting you in and out without a hitch. The room is bigger than most Parisian hotels so I was pleasantly surprised. We got upgraded room and breakfast because of my husbands frequent flyer status. Great restful night for the long flight back home. From here we walked to the airport bus/metro and got off at our stop and it all took about 10mins and the we were at United terminal and checked in our luggage. No traffic no worries. No frills airport hotel with quiet and decently appointed rooms. It's located at the end of the rail line that connects the different CDG terminals and parking garages. Conveniently the entrance to the hotel is one floor up from the RER train stop that will take you to downtown Paris. Reception is very busy and slow during peak times. If you are in a rush, arrive early as you'll be there a while. Free copies of Newsweek and Time magazine in the lobby. You can also ask for USAToday and some other newspapers at the reception free of charge. Lounge is open all day and has snacks all day, along with water, soda, beer, and wine. Just help yourself and watch some TV. Also in lounge is a small business center with PCs, printer, and Fax. Overall, a good location if you want to stay at the airport. read more

Everyone here is so welcoming and friendly but especially the concierge, Tufan, he will make you feel like an old friend. Staying here for my last night in Paris I don't want to leave. He is super helpful and it has been a great experience. Would recommend to anyone with an international flight for the last night as you simply roll out of bed and to your gate versus worrying about the train or an Uber. read more

The people are friendly, the location is great if you're flying out in the morning, and the beds are comfortable. The room prices are very high however at 200+ Euros per night and prices at the on-site restaurants & bars are exorbitant. And we used Upgrade Awards to move up to a Junior Suite which was nice for the added space but the living room was set up really badly and after 5-10 minutes of sitting on the couch by the window both my wife and I became congested and started feeling sick. God knows if they ever clean the upholstery, our initial experience says no. If you're using Starwood points or if you're a Starwood loyalist it's worth staying here - the location is convenient near the train station in terminal 2 and an okay walk from anywhere in the terminal. Signage is not perfect but you'll be able to find your way. If you can eat elsewhere I would advise it, when you're looking at 14 Euros for onion soup or 30 Euros for a burger you better be rich or have a big expense account to eat here. read more

My brother arrived around 8pm after checking for vacancies in the morning. For some reason the usual hotel booking site would not let us reserve a room so we decided to chance it. The 2 star review is not for the hotel itself since they were full and we were unable to rate a room we couldn't see. The review is for the rude and insulting lack of customer service that we were treated with at the front desk. We were informed by the people that work there that the hotel was full, despite showing availability online. The hotel allowed us to use their WiFi and computers to find another hotel near the airport that would accommodate us. However, we were not greeted with a pleasant attitude. The lady at the concierge desk was rude and simply said "we're full, go somewhere else." While I understand that maybe she didn't speak English, what she uttered next was completely unnecessary. My brother turned to leave the desk after thanking the lady anyways and she said "stupid Americans" right within earshot of him. The only reason this hotel has a 2 star instead of a 1 star review is because the men who greeted us at the front allowed us to use their WiFi computers to find another hotel. Otherwise, I feel like the desk lady's remark is completely unprofessional. I will tell all of my friends who travel NEVER stay at this hotel since they seem to hate Americans and think we are "Stupid." read more

The only option for a hotel within CDG airport. Thankfully, it is an excellent option, albeit an expensive one. But the convenience and quality of an American-standard Hotel our last night traveling in France was well worth the expense ($200+ for a double room, $400+ for a king room). The Sheraton is spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful marble bathroom including a large bathtub and separate shower. The ambiance of this hotel is serene and tranquil. The bedroom quarters are entirely silent, which is astonishing considering it looks into the airport terminal. The restaurant (Les Saisons) and Galaxy Bar are both good options for a drink and a decent meal without having to leave the upscale ambiance of the Sheraton. Last, but certainly not least, the WiFi is powerful, consistent, and free for Hotel guests. I mention this only because we've spent the last couple of weeks with subpar internet across France. read more

This Sheraton Hotel is located at the Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. Just a brief walk through the terminal towards the Train Station and there it is. The Hotel is built to look like a Ship inside and out. Our sound proof room was beautiful and very functional. Room service was fast and the food was pretty good, most of the staff was very helpful & personal, however we did encounter a few employees in the Bar that did not want to serve anyone and wore their Attitude on their sleeve. I thought they didn't like the way I spoke French, but I saw these employees treat most of the patrons like they were invisible too. I would recommend this hotel and will most likely stay there again when visiting Paris, so easy to get in and rest up after the flight. read more

Good room, barely adequate A/C. Very slow and poor service in the restaurant. Over 1/2 hour wait after ordering salad and pasta. Would stay at hotel again but never use the restaurant. Interesting that so many French hotels have shower and sink drains that take forever. Even at this Sheraton, you'll be standing in an inch of water by the time you finish your shower. I find better value staying at the Novotel hotel but had to try this one for a night. I always expect any room service to be expensive but $25 for a croissant and coffee obviously focuses on the business traveler with a credit card. Exchange rate makes it about $27. Got a lot more respect for US Starbucks now. Hey Sheraton, here's an idea. How about getting high tech and adding a few real English TV stations! Although it's inspiring to watch the same news clips over and over on 4 different English speaking channels. Can you say Netflix. read more

This hotel is IN terminal 2. Our final night in Paris, we booked here so it would be easy. It is literally a floor above everyone the airport business. Upon check in, we had friendly service. The lobby is super clean and spacious. Our room is on the 2nd floor, once up on that floor there is this calm feeling as it is dimly lit, quite and not busy. The room itself is big with good sized bathroom, walking space to the bed and even a desk looking out the window. It is pricey, but I definitely thing it is worth it to avoid morning hassle and rushes. Definitely how I plan on booking for my future final days in Paris. read more

I absolutely loved my stay here. It was relaxing and northing to worry about. My terminal to return home was just a shuttle away. The breakfast was amazing the bed king size was so comfortable and big. After being in Europe for a month and my last stay was here I wanted to make it special and nice. Solid place to stay when you have an early morning flight out of CDG or are stuck on a layover. Clean rooms, comfortable enough bed, nice tarmac views, quiet, and best feature is being right in Terminal 2. Cons included somewhat dated hotel, subpar room service food, and club lounge available to Platinum SPG guests was one of the worst ones I've been to (dated and not great food offerings). Oddly, quite nice. I was nervous about an airport hotel and expected the worst. This is a very business-friendly hotel. Very well appointed room (ironing board? win!) and very thick and sound proof windows that look at onto one of the runways at CDG. Clean. Quiet. Comfortable bad. Food decent. Also, you are right next to one of the terminals so my walk from the hotel to the terminal took all of five seconds. read more

Soundproof rooms make for restful sleep in newly remodeled rooms with amenities including coffee, complimentary wifi for up to 6 devices, blow-dryer and lighted make-up mirror. On the club level for 65 euro per couple hot appetizers, cold beer, wine, cheese, meats, snacks, desserts and cold drinks are abundant. When a Guest requested replenishing- it was accomplished within 20 minutes. Our 4:15 am morning room service was 15 minutes late causing my husband airport stress so this isn't a 5 star review for that reason. Convenience, convenience, convenience! I had an overnight layover between two flights and it was a pleasure to find this hotel, tucked away inside terminal 2. Once you step in, you truly feel like you're at a Sheraton hotel, with all services you'd expect (restaurant, gym). Large rooms, some with beautiful runway views. It is a little old, the furniture is a little dated, but the friendly service, location and good room service menu make up for the lack of modernity. read more

A great location if you have a morning flight out of CDG. excellent staff. They were very helpful in arranging assistance in getting us & our luggage to our check in for the flight. The bar staff were very nice & it was a great place to relax before dinner.the brasserie at the hotel,was very good. We wanted a light meal & the offerings on the menu gave us a nice selection. The room was excellent, large, clean & sound proof. The bathroom was excellent: clean and very functional. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel. From check in, to the bar to the restaurant & the concierge I couldn't have asked for a more professional & friendly staff. read more

Airport hotels typically are catering to a somewhat captive audience but the Sheraton doesn't act that way. Our party of five stayed here on a long layover and they accommodated us with adjoining rooms, cribs for the kiddos and early check-in and check out. The price is what it is, and I'd have happily paid more for the chance to get some shut-eye during a 30+ hour trip with toddlers. It was worth every penny. read more

The Sheraton would have gotten 5 stars from me from just the location and the building itself. The rooms were spotless, comfortable and quiet. The fact that it is in the airport made our 10:00 A.M. flight easy to leave the airport by 8 to get to our terminal in no time. What errks me is the fact that being a Gold Starwood Preferred guest gets you perks. However, when do they charge you just to have a 3rd person in a room? Only to be told, it doesn't matter how many beds, it's the amount of people in there. I have never been charged for a 3rd person. Think about it. As a family, I always book 2 double beds, 1 for me and my husband and the 2nd for my son. They charged us an additional $100.00 for the 3rd person. What a rip off! As a Starwood preferred guests, you have a choice of points for future stay, free internet or 2 free cocktails. I just asked for them to not charge the 3rd person instead, they said they can not. How unreasonable. My suggestions for anyone of you yelpers who stay there and have more than 2 people in your party. Let them know only two. :P read more

Not really in terminal as advertised. To get here, exit Terminal 2 after baggage claim and walk right towards the train station. This hotel is at the train station. Poor signage in the airport leading you here. Our room had a bath but no shower and the bath drain was a bit clogged. This place will do in a pinch but not recommended. read more

Awesome location. We booked a night here for our morning flight. The concierge service was great: we were on a month long trip so we left some of our luggage here a week before so we didn't have to carry them into Paris. We're SPG Platinum, and was upgraded to the corner suite on the 4th floor. Originally thought it was an awesome idea but then realized that our door is right beside the club lounge that stays open til 11pm and I think opens at 7am. Our room is nice and big with a separate living space. This was really helpful for us as we have a newborn. Check-In told us that since the suites are in the corner of the hotel, they don't have king sized beds in them. There is a separate single bed in the living area. The lounge directly beside our room is pretty small and the food is mediocre compared to other Sheraton lounges. I had to call downstairs to have the ice bucket filled as there isn't always an attendant inside. The TV was blasting a football game at a really loud volume and I didn't see where I could turn down the sound. read more

My wife got sick from the room service and spent a majority of the night before our morning flight vomiting and in the bathroom. When I called the front desk and spoke to a manager about what had happened he asked, "what do you want me to do." Very unprofessional and cold. They did not offer to help with anything including bringing us medicine, offering assistance in rebooking our flight, refunding the charge for the food that made her sick, offering an extra night to recover, nothing. They didn't even bother to call and check on us. I'm not sure how this place is in business with such an grossly incompetent staff. They advertise sound-proofed rooms. This is not true and the hotel itself is soundproof from the 1st floor to the 4th floor. The basic 200 euro rooms are very small as are most French hotel rooms in general. The bed was comfy and the room was cozy despite the size. The bathroom included both a bathtub and stand up shower. The sauna and fitness rooms are 24/7 and are very nicely equipped. All in all it was a great stay and the location is super convenient. I was the dumb tourist standing outside the airport looking for the "sheraton" shuttle when the hotel was 150 feet behind me. I would recommend priceline-ing this hotel to save some money. read more

This is a great Hotel with good comfy beds! It's inside the CDG airport. Literally! The windows are sound proof and yet you can see the planes taking off outside. Perfect for a night or two. No pool or spa but they have a sauna. Very accommodating staff. Inside the airport just 100m down the hall is a store that serves reasonable food for decent prices (banquette, cheese, wine, fruit, snacks etc.) Free wifi in the lobby or $19 in room or $24 for upgraded speed (which I wish we would have done for downloading movies to iPad). Great beds, very nice bath and shower and perfect if you have to jump on the train or fly (train entrance also in airport). Some English TV if you want. My husband went down at 1am and the reception gal was tipsy. He said they were listening to music in the back room and laughing when he pushed the bell. Pre celebration for NYE maybe?? read more

I don't think the price range accurately reflects the cost of a room here. I got a great deal for a one night stay recently, although it was through Priceline. The cost for a continental breakfast, however, was laughable. I'm not paying 26 Euros (almost $50) per person for coffee and toast, especially when I can walk out the front door and get the same thing for a fraction of the cost. The location is incredible. I don't think you can get any better than being smack in the middle of terminal 2 if you are catching a morning flight. I thought the room was great. Very spacious and comfortable. Nice bathroom, too. And I couldn't believe the sound attenuation. I looked out the window and saw planes on the runway, but couldn't hear them at all. The service was just fine, but I didn't ask for much either. The front desk speaks English. And there is a very convenient and free boarding pass printing station. Perfect place to stay when flying out of Paris. read more
