The Supervisor I Diana Bahlman came in and yelled at the new class of dispatchers. When asked why they were yelling when their directions was confusing - the supervisor made up a story and had me written up. Their motto is Courage, Honesty, Professionalism , Principals Respect, Integrity, Dedication , Esprit de Corps but that's a lie. It's no wonder the retention rate is extremely low!!

Arrive extra early, my test started at 8:30am and there was a line going out of the Academy and down the street just to get into the parking lot! There is an Officer at the entrance to the Academy so not everyone can drive in. I got into the parking lot, parking is clearly marked and available right in front. Yes! Once parked, there are four buildings arranged in a square with a courtyard in the middle dedicated to fallen CHP officers. One of the buildings is the dining room so off I went! The buildings all look the same and aren't clearly marked. The only way I knew what building was the right one, was from the line of other test takers out front! Inside the dining room is very clean. There are a ton of tables and chairs with plenty of windows and skylights. Kind of a cool place, but has that "school" feeling so not very comfy. Overall, great place for testing/meetings because the space is nice and easily accessible.

I think just like a regular traffic lights with cameras, there should be one there in every exits to take a picture of the abusers who violates the 2 or more....and in addition drivers are using the emergency lanes to pass up all cars in a traffic jam and you wonder where are the highway patrols when this is happening.

My friend is so appreciative for all of the assistance she received during her very challenging time from the various agencies that Deputy Sylvia coordinated. My friend attended CACEO for training to become a Certified Code Enforcement Officer. She…read morecompleted all the required modules. After completion, she was sent her certificate in the mail. She was then informed that the certificate was sent in error. She was informed you have to work as a Code Enforcement Officer for 1 year before you can become "CERTIFIED". She was informed that the dates on her certificate as a " Certified Code Enforcement Officer will have to be changed until she completes that 1 year on the job training. No one informed my friend, nor did any of the guest speakers mention that as a requirement to obtain your certificate. My friend was very disappointed. Most employers don't want to hire you unless you have one year of experience anyway. So it's a catch-22. You can't obtain a certificate unless you have one year of experience and you won't be hired as a Code Officer unless you have 1 year experience. Keep in mind that all the money was paid in advance. I'm very disappointed in CACEO!!!

It was nice and empty in the office and the ladies behind the counter were super friendly and helpful! One of the ladies that helped me was named Cheryl and I can't remember the other ladies name. But both were amazing and very pleasant to work with. You always dread going into a government office but these ladies gave me a better feeling and told me what I needed to do. This is my first time going through this and usually people are unpleasant and rude and don't want to help. Good to know there's good people like these ladies that if you have a question they will help answer it for you and point you in the right direction. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

We moved to Citrus Heights in 2000 from the Bay Area. It was recommended to us by three different…read morepeople, on three separate occasions, who knew the Sacramento area. So, we found a beautiful, wide and quiet street in Citrus Heights, conveniently located a couple of miles from I-80 for a 13 mile commute into Sacramento, surrounded by convenience, such as grocery stores and the Sunrise Mall, along with Bird Cage, a decent school district, parks with swimming pools, Little League, and nicely maintained middle class neighborhoods. At the time we bought, Citrus Heights had just incorporated three years before. Our real estate agent told us that it was improving. Improve it has! In the eleven years we've lived here, there has been many beautification projects along the main through ways like Greenback Lane, sculptural art established on the main corridors of Auburn and Greenback, as well as roads widened, parks installed, a new community center that is state of the art, lots of lovely trees and pretty red roses have been planted, and new businesses established, like Costco, and Sam's Club, and soon, Sprouts Farmers' Market, among others. Citrus Heights now has its own police department, too, as one reviewer noted. The things I personally like about Citrus Heights, however, is that the best restaurant in the Sacramento region is here, Bamiyan, an Afghan restaurant that is as delicious as it is unique. The Farmers' Market behind Sears at the Sunrise Mall on Saturday mornings is the happiest hour I spend all week buying my produce. They have everything, including eggs and meats, and of course, a wonderful smorgasbord of yummy homegrown organic and non-organic produce, and it seems we have more varied vendors every time I go. I also love the fact that I came across some graffiti in the park near our house and called a hot-line, and it was gone within 24 hours. Things like that are taken seriously here. Additionally, the City government is fiscally responsible. Citrus Heights is in great shape, and it has improved and gotten better every year we've been here. Now they're redoing San Juan High School. I want to congratulate Citrus Heights for all the good things I've seen happening here in the past decade. I am proud of Citrus Heights and I applaud all the people who are making it happen.
