As an Asian parent, I felt uncomfortable when one of the workers looked at my daughter in a way that seemed discriminatory and unwelcoming. While I was on the line looking at cashier with mask under her face and nose and thinking how you can ask Costomer have a mask when you are NOT. They have fresh produce bu horrible customer service. This was my third visit over there and definitely last time. On my previous two visits I have been ignored but today, the girl who stands next to scratches, was standing without any customer so I asked three times if I can approach, she ignored me but still I approached her. I put the items which I was going to buy a front of her and asked her if she couldn't hear me before, without any response she started scanning. I asked her about the ice cream she totally ignored me then I ask about grapes and once again she ignored me. You see, because of us (the customers) they exist, if you ignore us and do not give basic customer service you'll run out of business one day. I love this market! Sherman Way market has quality produce , meats, pantry staples, etc. Nothing bad to say about this market . I ordered groceries on local express during this pandemic since it's hard for me to go physically with an infant. I called the staff twice and spoke to a one woman then asked for a manager. The so called "Manager" was indifferent and condescending. I told her that I'm placing a large order with local express and noticed that some essential items are missing on the site and asked if they were in stock at the store. She told me that they all were . I do not want to place a big order with key items missing. I then get hit with a " if you correctly search for them you'll see it , I myself see these items there every time" "you're not looking carefully". I told her that I even searched for the item within the department and throughout the whole store by the SEARCH option . She just kept telling me that she couldn't help me. Look, if the site isn't working properly that's fine , but don't treat the customer as the problem. I'm just trying to purchase items and give you business. I do not appreciate this at all. I am an educated Individual who knows her way around a computer and the internet. It is not professional to treat people like they are farm animals. To be specific , I asked for green onions/ scallion , Persian cucumbers, tarragon and Italian parsley ( Not Curly) and I will attach the photos of the search results . I gave this market 5 stars because I love this market and it does not deserve negative attention because of two rude people . I've experienced same exact service, they don't realize they exist because of us, I was going to purchase much more when I was in, but decided not to because of their approach to customer service, plus they have no price tags on a lot of their items, and employees are hella rude, one of them told me I don't know what the prices are and they work there! Told me to ask the cashier for prices! This place is close to my home, great place for distance convenience! But I refuse to step in there! It's an Armenian store you want to support them! I found this place by accident today! I am so very happy that I decided to check them out ! Their meats are beautiful and fresh looking and any specialty meat that you are looking for you might just find here! I lost myself in the beautiful array of fruit preserves and honey...they have a huge selection of cheese goat .... sheep and cow. Oh and the variety of nuts is ENDLESS! I found my meat market! I found this place to be clean and well organized, and the people working there were to a person very attentive to me. The guy at the meat counter asking if he could help me when I was just browsing. I came back a few minutes later to be helped by the same guy for their chicken lule, and that was a great decision. Delicious. The counter people were also very efficient and really nice to me; maybe they thought it odd for me, an Asian, to be buying lavash, tahini, and lule, but I go on ethnic kicks and make stuff like hummus. No store makes hummus better. The cashiers treated me as if I was something to look at, and very friendly (and they were babes, so I was flattered). Part of my chicken lule order was for making chicken lule, and part was used instead of veal to make Italian meatballs, which came out awesome. I like this place a lot. I love shopping at this store. Products are fresh and so far I have been super happy them. It's truly a one stop shop for me. I get everything I need and also pastries as well. The staff that works on the floor at the store. The men and women that stock the shelves and the fruits and vegetables are super nice they greet you speak to you. The only thing that bothers me about this place is the drag queens behind the registers. Wow they say next with the most rude way possible and the time you are standing in front of them they have there Constipated Look On There Face. The only good think in this market is fresh products I usually did my shopping from here and it was always over $200. I like the quality of their products . But They need to improve their customer service. Like other Armenian markets they also have very rude, unprofessional and impolite cashiers. Be careful when you are asking questions to deli workers they can spoil your day. I've been wanting to visit this Armenian grocery store for some time now. While perusing the aisles, I noticed their imported products from Armenia, Russia, Georgia, Indonesia and more. Their fish and meat section looked clean and well organized. I noticed the fresh sturgeon in the fish section that I would like to try cook one day. There's also the crawfish frozen from Armenia. They had a wide variety of olive oil and vodka, among other liqueur. I bought a few cans of my favorite Portuguese sardines and some Armenian pear soda.
