We ordered a oatmeal cookie here and thought it was perfect. It had a crispy outside and a chewy inside. The flavors were great with plenty of oatmeal. At about $4 a cookie, it is a bit pricy but the quality of the cookie was fast. We received our order right away and would come back the next time we are at this mall. read more

09/15/24- everything here looks yummy as you enter the mall. The only ones that I noticed that will boost this business more are: to put names on the cookies and sweets and even the flavors of ice cream. This will help customers rather than keep on asking them, what is this and what is that. Another thing that's really important is the price for each of the items will be so much helpful. After all, that's the main concern for customers -how much will I be paying for in the end. Yes there's prices on menu but not for all the items. Two cookie places bookmarked, two have failed. I am now 0/2 which makes me utterly upset because I am going out of my way to spend and consume calories when I have a pantry full of baking ingredients at home and not just that, a taste of the kids' cookies made me wish I opted for a package of Chips Ahoy (and I hate Chips Ahoy, too). Now I understand why you cannot buy the mini cookies in singles. You need to buy a 1/2lb of it because if not, there will be a ton of it by the time they close up shop. The girl packed more than a half a pound but I agreed because mind you, I had 4 kids to look after. My daughter wanted the frosted snowman sugar cookie whilst I bought myself a brownie on a stick and a longhorn. Cookies - crispy, didn't taste fresh, very bland (like it was missing vanilla extract and sugar) Brownies - nothing a box of Betty Crocker can't do Longhorn - dry, dry, and dry I was excited to come here because I have been confined at home since Wednesday and because this was a bookmark. Came here again because I simply love their almond cookies. I should of asked for the actual name of these delicious babies. Haha When we came in I let the guy know that these were my all time favorite cookies. He was really happy and said they were his favorite too. He was the nicest man ever, I think the owner. He let us know that we could order ahead and they would make me a fresh batch!! Seriously the sweetest man and the best cookies out there! This is a nearly perfect grab and go coffee/cookie joint. As it's located just inside the main entrance of capitola mall (the one facing 41st street) parking is practically unlimited. If it relevant to you there is also a bus stop/public transportation depot right outside as well. This is of the kiosk model and as such there is no seating per se-there is of course chairs and benches scattered throughout the mall including a spot more or less right in front of Sherri's-and service is of order and be served at the counter model. All orders are to go orders and are packed accordingly. I was going to say that for a mall kiosk the product is good, but actually the pastries on offer here would be considered better then average anywhere, but it's unusual that a mall would have something so good-and chea.....er, cost effective. They carry brewed santa cruz coffee roaster coffee in two styles french roast and hazelnut. No latte's, no cappuccino's just plain good coffee. While there is a strong focus on totally awesome cookies, there are also cream horns, cupcakes, brownies, small single serving pecan pies, parfaits, ice cream (marianne's and polar bear) churro's, flan, cheesecart, tarts and other pastry like stuff. Most items are made on site, but some like the churro's come in from another location daily. They will do items to order like oversize birthday cookies. Pricing varies per item but it's entirely possible to get a coffee and a sweet for less then five dollars. All in all it's perfect for a wallet friendly coffee and sweet. read more

This is my first time to buy the caramel apple here. I asked the staff to cut it for me. They takes a long time to cut the apple and packed it in a paper bag. These cookies are delish! Waaaaayyyyy better than anything I've ever had from a Starbucks treat shelf (which is located right by it, btw). My girlfriends and I tried the chocolate, the snickerdoodle, the oatmeal raisin and the m&m cookies and they were all great samples of their type of cookie. They tasted very fresh, soft on the inside and a lil crisp on the edges. My personal favorite is the Oatmeal Raisin... yum yum! The mini cookies are 1/4lb for 2.75 and one large cookie is about 2$ each. It's totally worth it. I also noticed she offered smoothies, ice cream and slurpees but I didn't try them. I guess what you're all looking for is a review of the food, and it is excellent. My daughter and I had mini chocolate chip cookies hot out of the oven and they were fantastic. But this review is about the kindness of one employee, who helped me after I fell hard outside the entrance to the mall. I asked for a cup of ice for my badly bruised hands and offered to pay for the cup. She waved away my offer, agreed to give me ice, and suggested that I ask customer service/security for an ice pack that would last longer. They only had bandages, so I went back to Sherri's, where the employee not only gave me ice, but blended it first so it would be more comfortable. Just before handing me the bag, she offered me and my daughter the aforementioned hot from the oven chocolate chip cookies. Above and beyond doesn't even cover it. This woman changed how I felt about a pretty crappy situation, and she earned a customer for life. read more

Not the best cookies I've had. There is nothing special about these. I got the M&M mini cookies. They are ok for a craving but Mrs. Fields has the best cookies ,but that's all the way in San Jose so these will suffice. I probably won't be back considering the price and taste. read more

Went there to get some ice cream with my wife on 12/18/17, 2 small scoops=$9.00 (that's pricey). The ice cream was good but the service was really bad. We were helped by Jim (I think that's his name). He had a really bad attitude towards us, it was as if we had asked him for free treats. What a jerk he is! The two stars are for the ice cream which was actually pretty good and for the ladies that work there, they are really nice and helpful and are probably the only reason this place hasn't gone bankrupt. If you read this Jim, I suggest you take a customer service class or something, I will not buy there again if I see you there, I will only stop by if you're nowhere in sight. I'm all for local businesses, specially small businesses like yours but if you're not appreciative of local clientele you'll be on your way out sooner than you think. While I am out spending the day shopping or just out and about, I usually buy my husband who loves baked good a treat if the opportunity arises. While spending the day with my daughter in Santa Cruz and Capitola we visited the Capitola Mall when we saw a Sherri's Cookies. I purchased a couple of mini pecan pies, a blueberry muffin and a bag of white chocolate macadamia nut mini cookies that were 50% off, because the we baked the day before. Having purchased a wide selection of goodies and tasted 2 of the 3 myself with my husband opinion on the pie being that it was also pretty good, I have to give 4 stars, the 5th star is for the customer service. Hubby and I were going to do some wine tasting in the area and we stopped in the mall to get some lunch. I wanted something sweet, so we stopped here. I didn't have high expectations-don't ask why-but I was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting at best a stale cookie. Wow! These are awesome. I have to say these are the best mall cookies I have ever tasted in my entire life. They're crunchy on the outside but perfect and soft on the inside. You can buy the bigger cookies for about $1.25 and they also have small cookies too that you can buy in a bunch but I don't remember how much it is. Being that I come here a little too often now, the muffins just never get old. Fresh, soft, and perfectly sweetened is all I have to say! Sherri's Cookies has got my vote every time and the staff is just amazing! I just recently started coming here after getting my eyebrows done across the way and the mini sized cookies caught my eye. The snickerdoodle mini cookies are sold at such a reasonable price and they are always just so soft. I'm not much of a muffin person but Sherri's muffins are just great. The blueberry muffins being my favorite are HUGE and the berries actually look like they were baked in, rather than being that nasty syrup crap you usually get from a grocery store.
