Some of the things they said were degrading and plain out mean. As a dance mom, It is upsetting to hear other children speak like this about others who are in the same boat as them. Don't the teachers or even the parents teach their students sportsmanship? It makes me wonder if this behavior is encouraged or not. I am very surprised to see this kind of behavior coming from a studio with supposedly good reviews.

I saw the video and said to myself, "Thats what I want in my life, to be able dance so freely and powerful, in a random street in Barcelona. I hadn't been to any dance socials and Cecilia was super friendly and had a family warm feeling. I was very shy to see my inspiration but when a particular guy was badly bothering me, I told Cecilia and she protected me by blocking his passage my way. With Cecilia I gained a proper Salsa and Bachata foundation. Today I take her Zoom classes twice a week because she is so fun and explains the movements so well. One day I may take the courage to dance in the middle of a street in a foreign country!

I called the dance studio twice (one about six months ago when I was shopping for dance studios in…read morethe area for my daughter and again just this week because I was unhappy with the one I chose only because it was closest to my work). Both times the owner answered and she was extremely personable and answered all of my questions without hesitation or a drop of sarcasm-- nothing! I found out everything I needed to know while I was on the phone with her and that alone was a good experience. She allowed me to do a free drop in for my daughter to try it out and see if it would be a good fit. It turned out to be great, especially after leaving the alternate/other dance studio I had just left and was disappointed with. The studio is cute and nicely updated on the inside. The instructors were happy to be there. My daughter enjoyed herself-- I will be returning. They even offer drinks that you can buy from a fridge in their lobby, which is a plus for me! Oh, and you can watch your child from large screens posted in the lobby. Score! :)
