What triggered me to write this review? Well after a posting of a recent Yelp gig, a friend remarked to me that I looked like - "Drakes producer" in one of the pics!!! LMAO! Ok do I even know how to play the flute if my life depended on it, to let alone be worthy of being positioned in front of a production board!?! Hahaha! Don't even ask me to rap or sing - especially if you value your hearing!!! Regardless I'll take the accolade & if anyone wants one - my new business card now reads below my name - 'Drakes Producer.' She was prompt and friendly with my responses and was very accommodating to what I wanted. We had family travelling from all over to join in the celebrations. The actual party was in March while COVID was unravelling all around the world. Even with all the uncertainty at this time, Julia came to our home and spent 3 hours taking photos for us. She took great photos which I will treasure for the rest of my life.

i haven't stepped foot in a bridal salon in years, so when my girlfriend asked if i'd join her…read moreentourage, alongside her mom and childhood friend, it genuinely touched me. i may have watched my fair share of, 'say yes to the dress', so being part of her journey to find 'the one' was a real honour. she had purchased a bridal package that included a wedding gown rental, evening dress, accessories, groom's tux, hair and makeup, plus a photographer the day of the wedding. this was her first time trying on wedding dresses, and if you know her, you know she's always effortlessly put together and has a clear sense of style. she'd already sent the bridal salon her inspiration photo ahead of time, so we were all eager to see how it would translate in real life. the salon is located at 511 columbia street, tucked upstairs. the space is tiny and a little cramped, we were asked to remove our shoes at the top if the stairs, and slippers were provided. six gowns had already been pre selected for her fitting, but we weren't allowed to take any photos of her wearing them (boo). good vibes though, no bridezilla energy here, just a confident, stylish bride with a solid vision. and when the veil went on. wow. we oohed and ahhed as it all came together. small tip: each appointment only allows for six dresses to be tried on, so make those picks count. and just like that...she said hell yeah to the dress!

Their studios sets have very nice props. However, the parking is inconvenient. They only have paid street parking. As a bride who hates driving and parallel parking, it adds additional stress to my wedding planning. I foresee that I will need to go back several times for gowns fitting, photos and more gowns fitting. Unfortunately, that was a no go for me.

Since we didn't get to get ready together on her real wedding day, I hired Michael to capture some photos of all the sisters getting ready, and I'm so glad I did! It was super easy to communicate with Michael from across the country before the reception, and on the day he was on time, super friendly and easy to work with. He took both candid and posed shots of us, and he has an amazing eye for cool spots for photos. His turnaround time was super fast as well, we had the pictures a few days later!
