Quick catch up with some media people at the iconic Shining Peak Brewing. My stylish sliders went down well with a cocktail with mango, cucumber and agave juice. Other dishes that looked appetising were kumara crisps with goat cheese. read more

Great place for a beer. They have really good food, nice atmosphere, cornhole, and they support a monthly charity with up to 50% of their profits going to the chosen organization. Awesome place! read more

WOW this place is amazing. We went there on a rainy evening and loved being indoors watching the rain in a warm, welcoming brewery. Jeane waited on us and she was ever so delightful, cheerful and helpful. We tasted several beers before deciding on pints, and each of us loved our beers. The decor (exposed vents, exposed interior brick walls and lovely wooden benches and tables) were just prefect for a casual evening beer! Would go back in a heartbeat! read more

Meet the Business Owner: Jesse S.

Our award-winning Head Brewer comes from the bright lights of Inglewood. A discerning beer connoisseur, Jesse's no slouch on the tools, having won a Best in Class trophy at the NZ Brewers' Guild Awards. But don't be fooled, Jesse's talents aren't limited to brewing. He once skulled a 4-litre pitcher of iced water to win a $500 bet. Given he's half Icelandic, we think it's no coincidence that Iceland legalised beer in 1989, the very year Jesse was born.
