This place is awesome!!! Good place to take the kids when it's too cold or too hot out. The staff is so nice and friendly and really good with the kiddos! The facility is also clean and in good shape. The only bad thing is it's hard to find. The address in the website says 619 Court Street, but the entrance is actually at 621 Court Street. We saw several people walking around the building looking for the entrance. They need better signage. read more

You wouldn't think there could be something as cute and unique in this area of Brooklyn, but Shipwrecked is a great option for a Saturday afternoon with friends! Coming here for a friend's birthday, the five of us only waited about 10 minutes before our pirate adventure began. $14 per person, and an extra $5 for all of us to unlock some interactive features of the course. The animation, lighting, and colors is definitely attractive to kids of all ages. I removed one star because I thought the spacing of groups was not as far apart as I would've liked. We felt we were being rushed by the family behind us that their kids plowed through the holes. If the groups were more staggered, I think we wouldn't of felt as rushed. This place is a little out of the way for me but after having brunch in the neighborhood my friend and I decided to give this place a shot. There's plenty of street parking available and I was lucky enough to find a spot right across the street. This is located on the second floor of the building, so take the slightly creepy elevator up one floor and there you are! We arrived at around 1pm on a Sunday and there was a big party before us. Even so, the staff did a great job at getting my friend and I situated and told us that it was going to be around a 25 minute wait before we could start playing. It was $14 per adult ticket, but don't forget to check in on Yelp to redeem the 10% off your purchase! There is an indoor and outdoor waiting area with seating available and the staff will call your number when they're ready. Although we waited roughly 25 minutes, I felt as if it wasn't enough because the large party before us took awhile to get through the courses in front of us so my friend and I were just uncomfortably tailing behind them. There were also people behind us, so at the same time we were forced to move along. If I were to come again I would definitely avoid weekends so I won't feel rushed getting through the courses. There are 18 courses and each one was fun and different. There are also scorecards available if you want to keep score. The courses ranged in a difficulty which made things very interesting. Each room had a different theme, but I must say that the last one has got to be my favorite. It was nicely lit and showcased Brooklyn as well as mini golf on a train. Great picture opportunities! So I like the concept of shipwrecked a lot. The staff is really nice and its pretty affordable overall. There is a small game room / waiting room with some ild school video games. Where Shipwrecked...wrecked was the actual mini golf course. The holes are pretty simple. I honestly felt like some of the holes were repeated multiple times. Been meaning to try this place since it opened and finally made my way over with my coworkers,since we work in Red Hook its a short walk from our office. Its on the second floor of an oil company building. The staff is very nice and being a rainy march night we were happy they had 2 dollar locker rental for all our stuff and the lockers are big enough it all fit in one. You pay your 14 dollars each and are given the option of for an additional 5 dollars (for the group) you get tokens that activate stuff along the course,if youre with kids go for it but if not you can skip it as it gets kinda silly and really isnt necessary. The courses are really cool in their design. Many of them have NYC themes including Coney Island,The Brooklyn bridge and my favorite a NYC subway car. The holes are not crazy challenging but offer enough curves and obstacles to be fun. They also have an outdoor balcony where you can chill before or after playing thats adults only. I've been trying to visit shipwreck for about a year and I finally made it. Staff are nice and welcoming and even allowed me to borrow their charger adapter to charge my phone. The wait in order to start my game wasn't long about 15-20 mins which gave me and my daughter to go outside on the deck to explore, sit and take pictures. The business is CLEAN and inviting & the price is reasonable. The golf course are suitable for most ages but definitely kid friendly. There are about 20 different courses that goes in order. The golf courses are creative and are good photo op. We went on a Friday afternoon therefore it wasn't crowded and it gave us enough room to enjoy and take our time playing. I'd definitely recommend this spot for either date night or to spend time with the kids. read more

Decent course and great to have something in Brooklyn! Indoors means year round too. Call ahead on weekends to make sure there isn't a kid's party. Clearly they should close the entire venue for just the party. Kids are running across holes, even when they've already played through, making it very challenging to play. I suggest just playing miniature golf without the extra five dollar theatrical content because it just leaves you hanging. I have been working in film and TV for over 8 years. Their theatrical content is not written well. The first one was actually very long -- too long. I think the point of it was to find the treasure but we ended up going through different landscapes and never finding it.. we just ended up in Brooklyn. Overall, There's broken communication when it comes to the script and the storytelling. It's a takeaway from the overall experience and that's going to keep disappointing people. -- Fun to play golf. You might not realize that tucked across the Red Hook ball fields, upstairs from Statewide Oil is a semi-hidden indoor oasis for your little guy or gal. If you've run out of things to do in your hood cross and the weather is questionable, head under the BQE for an indoor adventure fit for the family (PRO TIP: excellent kids birthday party option rain or shine). Shipwrecked comes together after taking a raw space and segmenting it into smaller "scenes" so they can rotate you and keep a few groups running simultaneously. It's a concept that works well and keeps the slow ones moving along so no one is getting bored. They have some alright fried type food options while you're there. Note they are missing an "adult not playing option" like a bar. However there is a nice, (right off the game room) adults only outside deck with comfortable lounge chairs. Had a terrible experience with 2 of your staff members today and I'm honestly disappointed and confused. We came in and asked for the 10% off from Yelp. The woman helping in the front (slicked back puffy ponytail) didn't know how to apply the discount so she asked another taller woman with long braids. The woman came over proceeded to mumble comments and remarks under her breath (we all heard her) condescendingly about our discount and being blatantly rude to us and speaking about us in front of us the whole time with the woman originally helping us. Someone we were with was a nyc school teacher inquiring about the discount and she was being really rude to her too. Even after we started our game, we heard them for a while behind the wall talking about us. This isn't okay and is terrible customer service and generally just terrible human behavior. It isn't that serious! We were so uncomfortable. We weren't being rude about it at all at any point and it is only a 10% discount and we just felt that it was really unnecessary and felt ridiculed by the two of them. Please train your staff on applying discounts you offer online or just don't offer them. Also train your staff to be nice to everyone and not be so rude and disrespectful. I was genuinely confused and really upset and it ruined the entire experience. They were still talking about us when we were exiting. As for the place itself, it's really nice and we would've loved this experience if this never happened. We would never consider coming here again since we were treated so poorly. read more

Shipwrecked is located in an industrial area right off the highway in a neglected part of Red Hook. Have fun, kids! In all seriousness though, when you've finally gotten to the building, it looks like you're heading upstairs into a suburban office building. Even the layout on the Shipwrecked floor, with its bleak corridors, makes me wonder if I'm late to a boss' meeting. When you get to the cashier, you're sold a bunch of add-on, overpriced kitsch (golf balls for sale, $5 tokens that cause certain holes to light up and tell you a story, etc.) Their system of making you wait until the first hole is clear kinda breaks down pretty much at the second hole, and no effort has been made into improving the waiting time, which, in mini golf, is about 50% of the time. As for the actual course: basically every single hole looks and feels the same. The whole point of a novelty mini-golf course is to have each hole be unique, interesting and fun. Throwing a bunch of LED stage lights on the golf course, and maybe having one or two fountains, doesn't necessarily make you want to come back. The whole ambience, with its exposed ceiling and open floor plan, felt more like a cheap wedding in an Amazon fulfillment center than a really unique set of holes. Adult friend groups need not apply. Parents, it's overpriced, you'll hate getting there, and your kids will be underwhelmed. read more

We had to wait about 30 minutes but we killed time by sharing mozzarella sticks since they have a food menu. They were actually pretty good to my surprise! I Have been to the mini golf before and came in on a Monday night to come play mini golf again because it is a great place to have a fun time indoors when it's cold or rainy. Since the last time I was here they have added an whole floor of an escape room with 3 different escape rooms you can choose from. Me and my boyfriend did the haunted escape room it's called a mini escape because the rooms are smaller than a regular escape room and you are given 25 mins to complete the escape. We did not solve all the clues in time but it was still a fun experience. You can go with a group of people and split the cost but for 25 mins it was 40 dollars so if you are just going with two people it is a little pricey. I will definitely be coming back with a bigger group of people will be even more fun trying out a different room with more people. read more

My group came here on a Groupon ($32 for 4 is a steal -- does not include tax). The theatrical effects are coin-operated ($5 for a small bag of them... I think 5 coins). They're fairly simple and didn't add much to our experience. The miniature golf course is very well put together with an underwater theme and an underlying (but weak) storyline. There were about 4-5 rooms for a total of 18 holes. The last few holes is in a Brooklyn-themed room and ends in a replica of a subway car. I was impressed with the level of detail and creativity at Shipwrecked. The holes are straightforward for the most part. Overall, it's a solid and beautiful place for mini golf! Oh and for the pokemon fans, they sell golf balls ($2) that look like a pokeball! Tip: do not come hungry. There's no food sold here and the surrounding area is pretty deserted. The organizers, Isiah and Sarah were great, and Isiah was wonderfully patient with the children. The course was fun, and kept their attention for just the right amount of time. Wow, this was such a pleasant surprise. Went to a kids birthday party and am pretty used to these parties "phoning it in". This was really different. Staff: The owner was there and helped keep things running smoothly. The "hosts" cared and were completely engaged. They even learned the kids names. Attention to Detail: From the decor, to the glow in the dark golf balls to the inventive decorations along the mini golf course (someone said they have a background in props and set design on Broadway?). Cleanliness: Most kids play spaces feel like germ-fest. This was immaculate. From the arcade machines to the party space to the mini-golf. Everything looked complete new in the mini golf space and well kept. If I had any feedback, it was that the kids had to keep going back to refill their tokens. But that was a small thing. And the staff was so attentive to refill them. No big deal. The kids had so much fun and so did the parents (Skee-ball tournament :-) I didn't know about this place pre-COVID. Maybe I am still suffering from PTSD thanks to all the mayhem-filled afternoons I spent at dilapidated, now shuttered BK bowling alley, Maple Lanes (R.I.P.). There are 18-holes divided up into a few separate rooms, each reflecting a different pirate-related theme. As others have mentioned, none of the holes are terribly challenging, so don't go expecting to get your inner Tiger Woods on. I think anyone who has lived in Brooklyn as long as I have, is going to fall in love with the brand spankin' newness of this place. That is, until it is discovered by the masses and ruined. Until then, you can nosh on Blue Marble ice cream while you're here, and if comedic schtick is your thing, you may opt to spring for the "special effects" that are offered at the entrance for an extra $5. I had a great time! It wasnt too busy (we went on a saturday night) and we did the enhanced experience with the tokens. You can hear stories when you use the tokens at different stops throughout the game. The holes were super easy, this place is great for families with small kids. I loved the fact that it wasnt too busy. I think the best part for me were the arcade games in the lobby. There are 3, each have 20 old skool games you can choose from (pac man! FROGGER!!!!) So much fun for humans of all ages. I think the average age for our group of golfers was 34 years old, but you wouldn't know it by how much we felt like kids again. The only difference was that we were crushing several Brooklyn Lagers while scooting around the miniature indoor course, but even those were served in a pirate ship water bottle, so I suppose the spirit was still alive and well. All the holes are quite small, but that doesn't mean they aren't challenging. There were several double and triple bogeys on the course, so don't judge a book by its cover. The whole course takes about an hour to complete, so it's really a fun outing for just about anyone. The Crown Jewel of the course is their 18th hole which looks like you're putting on the inside of a subway car, so be sure you have your camera ready for that one. It definitely gets packed during the weekends, so be sure you get there early unless you want to wait a while to hit the links. Whether you're celebrating your 14th or 40th birthday, you'll have a blast. read more

That is, if you never leave the City yet pine for mini-golf, this can help you get your fix. It's expensive for mini-golf (as expected in the City), but also pretty out of the way for most people. The "theatrical elements" were not worth the extra money, unless you're 5-7 years old (or maybe have had 5-7 beers). Me and my family had lots of fun together there. I have been twice before as a participant of birthday party. I didn't have a chance to play because only the kids got the balls but as a nice part of goodie bag was a complimentary ticket to the game. We decided to use it on Tuesday evening around 6 pm. It was empty which was a plus because we could take turns as long as we wanted and tried as many times until we were successful. No one was rushing us and no one was there over watching which was a great experience. You felt like you are on a real adventure in the cave. Felt more like the cave than the ship. Our family has been here before, but our most recent experience was horrible. Terrible customer service, and nastiness from the manager. We booked tickets for a Saturday night, and arrived on time. We were told things are running a few minutes behind, and that there is one group ahead of us. No problem, we spent some money on the arcades while we waited. We were again told that we are next, but additional groups kept arriving and being put ahead of us. After waiting 40 minutes, and again being told we are next, a group of six arrived and was put ahead of us. That was the last straw. The staffer said we are right, but that he can't help us because the manager has a no refund policy. The manager was downright rude. I hate golf, but mini-golf is fun. mini-golf where you can drink is more fun, even if it's a bit awkward to do so with small children running around. but, this is New York, and as someone who's lived here my whole life, lemme say this - they gotta learn eventually. it takes all of maybe an hour to play the whole course here, but it's surprisingly challenging and very well made. the special effects in between courses cost money to activate, but my friend's daughter liked them, and us adults were sufficiently amused as well. about a ten minute walk from the Smith-9th station. and the ferry at IKEA is 15 minutes' walk away. a good indoor activity to hit up when the weather is finicky, and pretty inexpensive (I think it was 15 bucks). read more

We highly recommend you embark on this interactive adventure & check out this really thought out space with 18 mini-golf holes & theatrical scenes. We really enjoyed meandering through the 5 rooms and playing mini-golf; which I don't think my little one have had access to at all in Brooklyn previous to today. The course has some tricky parts so I suggest a multi child station for kids where they can learn standard foot positioning and when to swing hard and when to just tap. I spoke to a parent of the Bday girl about pricing. Not cheap, so perhaps be the first Party of the day (11a) so hopefully you'll be the only one on the course (they do ask folks arriving to wait in order to get all the kids through the intro movie and onto the course) They brought a Carvel Ice Cream cake and the space provided coffee.
