Prices are pretty reasonable on the books as well, though some are priced higher than others. Now to the negatives. There isn't a public restroom. With a shop this big, there should be. If you need to use a restroom you have to leave and find one elsewhere, then return if you want to keep shopping. It's really inconvenient. A big problem is that the shop is CASH ONLY, with no ATM available. I get why smaller businesses opt out of credit/debit cards, but this bookstore is big (in size) and a lot of people, myself included, rarely carry cash. Like with the restroom, you have to leave to find an ATM somewhere to be able to pay for your books.

Just tossed it to us and said. Your good. Then gave each of our kids a quarter for the gum-ball machine. So when my bear hunting boys asked me to pick up a flashlight. Where do you think I went? Yep. Back to the place where we got special treatment. The owner helped me this time. He was very patient with me as I really didn't know what to get. I knew my son wanted top of the line. So he gave me a couple of options. With a nice price difference. I purchased an awesome flashlight for my son and my husband. The owner was so helpful and kind. Let's just say his worker who gave us 2 free quarters and a free bottle opener ended up turning into a return visit where we spent over $130.00. I guarantee I will be back again before we leave too. We came up this summer in early July , and I noticed on Facebook an antique store had finally opened up and an amazing historical building of Dyerbrook. The owner moved here to Maine in the fall. She has a love for Antiques and I think she saw the need for the area. When I visited, she was so kind. It was nice to talk to somebody who had the same interest. The interior of the store was fantastic. I experienced both her Christmas in July set up and a general set up. She certainly has a knack for ranging things in a beautiful way. Pricing it is extremely reasonable. I love knowing that I get to go home with some items and I can look at them saying to myself. I bought that in Maine. It is wonderful for there to be a store where one can purchase quality yarns at affordable prices in this area of Maine. The woman (Carol?) who was tending the shop was very friendly and helpful. She was very down-to-earth and most definitely not a yarn snob. She has a good range of products in the store from acrylic blends at the low end of the scale to mid priced yarns made of alpaca, mohair, angora, and - of course - wool. There were a few things on clearance and I snagged a bag of cotton dk and I also indulged in a couple of little balls of angora. It was a very nice shopping experience and I will definitely be back to shop there again. As a side note, when I asked about a few luxury yarns in particular, she did mention that she is happy to order anything that she doesn't have in the shop (provided that she can get it from one of her suppliers, of course). It is becoming more and more difficult to find a store with good customer service (especially as we, in our shopping frenzy, continue to settle for less for our hard earned dollar). I will never patronize an establishment that does not make me feel appreciated. Thankfully, this store made me feel good about spending my time and money here.
