My last visit, she seemed to be the only physician in the facility and the office was full. I specifically made an appointment to have dan ultrasound done and figure out why I have been having pains and why I have been bleeding more than half of the year. She just changed my birth control pills and I continued to non-stop bleed. She even asked, well have you had your thyroid levels checked because that could also effect your issues. I said, "Well did you even read my medical chart? I have a thyroid condition hat has been treated with Levothyroxine for the past 7 years." I then go to Austin to hear that I have Polycystic ovarian syndrome. Not to mention the fact that I had three days of UTI symptoms for which she did not treat. The next day, I go to my PCP office and my urine had WBC, RBC, nitrites AND bacteria in it. They called to tell me about it after I found and started treatment for 2 full days. Very disappointed that I sent friends to her because I felt she cared about my health. I loved her until my concerns didn't seem to be in her best interest at all.

From delays in providing prescription refills to their cancellation with less than 24 hours for an appointment that had been scheduled weeks in advance. They are unreliable. I get things happen but there's a definite pattern in poor communication. Not sure if this is just the 'standard of care' for a small town but I did have this issue in Austin with a large practice. It's disappointing and frustrating.

The office staff and nurses are really friendly, and even remember my name when I come by for my visits. It's always a joy to be greeted by friendly faces! I also love the perks of their office being inside a hospital. There's a special emergency room for pregnant women, so there's almost never a wait. We waited 10mins max to be set up in a room, 10 mins!!! Up front parking for new and expecting moms. Radiology and labs are done in office, which is great when you're limited on time. When I checked in with an older woman at the front desk- she was beyond rude.. I spoke to the VA originally and told them I was told via this office that I had to put a credit card on file. I called the VA they told me it wasn't needed and that they will call the facility to confirm that so not to worry about it when your appointment comes up. So I got in today and one of the receptionists wanted to argue with me and said 'well I don't care what the VA is saying. I am stating what OUR policy is'. I of course told her that I'm absolutely not putting a card on file and then wanted to argue saying that in the insurance I put "VA" insurance & I was apparently supposed to put "tri-west Va insurance' instead... literally never even heard of that but okay. If I didn't have to wait 3 months like I have been waiting for this appointment I would have walked out the door. My appointment was at 2:15pm. I wasn't called back until 3:45. I then had to sit in the exam room until 4:15 for the actual doctor to come in. All this time wasted for the doctor to tell me I have to make a separate appointment for a minor procedure to be done & once again that appointment isn't until October 19. Do better, especially for us Veterans.

I go and ask a lady at another desk nearby, told her im a new patient and will need to fill out paperwork, and she told me that the staff they were at lunch and would be back soon....ok.. That "soon," was finally at 2pm, 30 minutes PAST my scheduled appointment. No apologies or explanation as to why they were late. I was called back to the exam room at 230pm, an hour past my appt time. I didn't get out of that office until 3:30, 2 hours after my appointment..this was for JUST a yearly exam! It's extremely rude and unprofessional to have nothing explained to the patient that's been waiting an hour past the original scheduled appt time. No front desk staff to be seen for over 30 mins. The other front staff at the other desks nearby were rude, and all were just standing around socializing with one another rather than paying attention to patients. The office is always so slow, most of my prenatal visits took well over an hour. I also had to be…read moreseen at MFM, and the doctor seemed to never review the notes from those visits before coming into the exam room. A lot of the staff were very rude, with few exceptions. The office was very disorganized. I had left a message for a prescription refill, and it was finally called in two days later -- but it was the wrong medication. I was a planned c-section, and it turns out they had my blood type incorrect. I didn't know this until the morning of my surgery. Luckily, the nurses at Spohn South were vigilant! They noticed the discrepancy between Dr. Pathikonda's office and MFM. This also meant that I didn't get the necessary rhogam injection at 28 weeks. If I had needed a blood transfusion, this could have been a disaster. I have read reviews about her bedside manner... she smiles, yes. She never showed a real interest in me or my baby. Never even asked what we planned to name the baby. I felt like I was just a number. I will say, she did an excellent job on my incision!
