We were driving thru Clarendon from Co to Dallas and we were pleasantly surprised to find this Gem Shonda came highly recommend by a local. She did not disappoint! Fresh,hot food delivered with a smile! Next time we travel thru we will definitely stop. We all ordered breakfast and it was made hot and delicious. I would love to try lunch next time! First time to visit today-- this tiny little take-out place was suggested by a friend. I can see why all the locals love it so much! We had the special for the day-- fried chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes with gravy, yeast roll, annnnnnd banana pudding. Everything was comfort-food fabulousness! Fresh, hot, and seasoned to southern perfection-- juicy, hand-breaded chicken, buttery mashed potatoes, and green beans to rival my Granny's-- seasoned with bacon and onions. Shonda's Snack Shack is only a takeout business, with no indoor seating, BUT the menu offers lots of options like mexican, burgers, brisket tacos, club sandwiches, soups of many kinds. The list go on and on and there isn't a bad thing on the menu! It doesn't look like much outside, as it is connected to an auto repair shop next door. Just ignore that. You will be glad you came.
