The owner is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He did not have what I was looking for, but he sent me in the right direction so I could still get it. He also shared a lot of information with me even though I wasn't purchasing anything from him. I wish more businesses were so generous with their time and knowledge. What a gentleman. My friend and I went to this shop because we needed to file transfer of ownership papers. The clerk, who we soon learned was the owner, told us he would not file the paperwork because a) we were not members of the NRA and b) NYS required him to do so for a maximum fee of $10, and he wanted to charge $25. We offered to pay him the $25.00, but were told, "I want you to be pissed off". Guess what? He was successful. I understand why the owner of a gun shop would have an issue with NYS gun laws, but to refuse service to those of us who want to stay within the letter of the law is nonsense. My friend and I had to make a 2-hour trip (1 hour in each direction) to the next gun shop, just so my friend could give me a shotgun as a wedding gift. I would NOT recommend this business to anyone. In fact, I'd rather see my money used to fund terrorism than to keep this idiot in business. read more
