All that was missing was the glass covering over the compass that sits at the base. We can live with that. This shop is located just behind the La Cigale markets, with parking onsite. I don't like this store plainly because I don't see the point of people dropping ridiculously large amounts of money on pots and pans and cutlery sets when there are people starving in the world. If you are into that extravagant sort of spending, then Galtons would be your sort of place. There's no denying its a beautiful store with some really beautiful things. The atmosphere just isn't that nice. If you're not a certain 'type' of person you're not really made to feel all that welcome.

Note that they do have quite a strictly enforced 'no photography' rule, which I got reminded politely of by the shop assistant when I got my phone out to write something down (maybe I look like one of those European-design-stealing types, who knows).

Everything in Harrowset is gorgeous and the quality is undeniable. This fine quality does mean that most of what Harrowset Hall stocks is quite pricey, but boy is it worth it!
