If this was a review for the people who work in the pharmacy area, and the lovely ladies and young people who work at the post office area and cash registers it would be easily a 5 star review. However, like that saying about one bad apple... there is an older man (I would never use the word gentleman), who I believe may be named Dave, but I'm not sure and he is, for lack of a better word, offensive to say the least. I have lived next to and shopped weekly for over 15 years at this Shoppers Drug Mart location, including picking up all my prescriptions.
Today I was in picking up a few things and noticed vitamins on sale and decided to try them. At the checkout they came up at a different price so the lovely lady at the cash went and checked and agreed they were on sale. They were on the very top shelf so it was difficult to see or read the tag and honestly due to my eyesight I would need a ladder and my reading glasses to get close enough to read all the print on the shelf tag.
The lady on the cash mentioned to the older man about the price discrepancy and he went off to check.
When he came back, he yelled at me in front of the line of people, one of them who lives in my building, that they were not on sale and accused me of changing the price tag. I was shocked and absolutely horrified. I have never done anything like that, and I never would. I was so upset I almost started to cry, which I did when I got home.
I am now too embarrassed and traumatized to set foot in that store again, and I am so embarrassed to see neighbours in my building, who now think I am capable of doing something like that thanks to this horrible human being. I am not even sure what to do about picking up my medication.
I feel like I need to write to the Shoppers Drug Mart head office, not that it would probably do any good, but no one should be treated like this, I'm devastated. read more
