Shore Heart Group will relentlessly hunt you down for a $2.00 co-pay, but after major surgery won't answer phone calls, won't return calls and don't seem to care what your needs are. Consistently over the past months, before and since my heart surgery it has been like this. I have actually had to drive to their office to get information I needed, because YOU CAN NOT GET THEM ON THE PHONE. And even then they treat me like I am a burden. My Cardiac Therapist needed to contact them about my therapy... they tried via fax and phone and Shore Heart Group never once responded. I have nothing but the highest raves and thanks for this group. They actually have saved my life on more than one occasion and yes, it took them a bit to find the issue, but they found it faster then the Dr's I had Previously in California who didn't care, and let me suffer. Dr. Matt is fantastic, he listened to me, understood that "yes" something is wrong, we need to find what it is, and then BOOM one day I was in the hospital for something else and they found it, Long QT. Evidently I have always had it, but previous Dr's just didn't bother considering it, Dr. Matt and the others figured it out and since 2018 I have had a pacemaker and defib to help keep me from suffering and living in fear, as I had been. No one answers calls or calls back when you leave a message. Staff is considerate & caring when you arrive and there isn't a long wait. Dr Vlajos is kind and has a good sense of humor but is also rushed because of overload. Overall not a bad experience. My friend has cancer and that care seems to take precedence although heart monitoring is essential. read more

If you'd like to wait two months for an in office test, wait 7 days for a call back (after calling 3 times,) and wait an hour and a half for an office visit - by all means, become a patient of this group (you will have to be extremely patient to deal with the office staff and Dr. Garg -- and they can't accept responsibility for their ineptitude.) read more

Horrible place. They could care less about you.Long ,long waits and no one updates you. You sit (if there's a seat) in a packed waiting room . You're treated like a number. Some very rude technicians . My doctor is great! unfortunately these large health care companies are taking over. No longer are there many private practice doctor's offices. I made one of the biggest mistakes in my life by switching to this group. These people don't care about your health or concerns at all. They are disrespectful, nasty, unprofessional group of people. I now have to travel back to Staten Island to see real doctors because this group of people are only out for themselves. Make a complaint it will fall on deaf ears. No one Cares. I'm glad I realized this before I have any problems with my heart. I'm sure these people would leave me for dead. There secretary's are the worst! They will treat you like your a second class citizen. They will make you feel like your worthless. Look for another group of doctors, this is the worst. Good Advise!!! Stay Far Away!!!! Unbelievable! I have been a patient at this group for MANY years, but I am now leaning towards finding another group! Reason: over the past few years they don't seem to be able to keep a scheduled appointment. Reschedules, reschedule, reschedule... when you call and complain, you're told to "calm down"... are you freakin' kidding me!!! read more

Place is awful, staff is awful! First complaint is : the Staff was complaining they did not get paid well, are patients suppose to care about their issues and pay? They should've not accepted that Job if they did not like the pay. Here is my other complaint: When a doctor has to cancel an appointment due to an emergency, the staff does not contact you to tell you. When I arrived for the appointment, they told me that they were going to call me and tell me about the cancellation, but they didn't. Meanwhile, I wasted gas money, and got out of work earlier to make the appointment and even got there before the appointment time. Then they had to make me another appointment because of the emergency cancellation, and they gave me an appointment which is out 3 more weeks. So I got cancelled on and waited weeks for that appoint and now I have to wait 3 more weeks for this new appointment. Unbelievable!!! Guess I see why they're not paid well. They hire what they can get. Also if you complain about an issue, they want others to be on their side, who have no business attached to the situation. Instead of resolving the situation they want people to feel empathy for them, so they can keep on doing the same awful things. I will be going to a better facility and doctor, who's staff and office manager is educated in treating patients professionally and going way beyond to accommodate them. read more

Great place! Friendly professional staff. Nice waiting room with tv. Dr Apolito was great. Very professional and thorough. I was scared to death going to a cardiologist for the 1st time. But Dr Apolito made it fun. I highly recommend Shore Heart Group. read more
