Paid for a crown out of pocket , not covered by insurance. Dr. Daar used temporary cement to put the crown on in case it needed more treatment later. When the crown fell off less than a year later, they told me my insurance was no longer accepted and I would have to pay again to have it put back on. Total Con Artist. Dr.Kelly Beamish rushes through my visits and exams. She is very condescending and judgemental when offering solutions for care. She does not take into account the patient's wants and needs. She also had no bedside manner. Do not let her work on your teeth. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Beamish for about 18 months now and like her very much, but today I went for a cleaning and I was not happy. The cleaning took 20 minutes and was very rushed. I had a horrendous experience at this practice. In the past I have been treated with respect, professionalism, and kindness here but recently, when returning for a routine cleaning and to have a broken tooth looked at, Dr. Beamish recommended a crown but did not give me an opportunity to ask any questions. She did not clearly explain any procedures. The office staff member with a southern accent was impatient and terse and stated that "we have other patients, you know" in an extremely disrespectful and sarcastic way....I had questions about my insurance and the receptionist used her personal cell phone to look up information (either that or she was texting while talking to me!) which made me extremely uncomfortable and seemed very unprofessional. Regarding my other questions about the dental procedure, I made a phone call and did not hear back. A MONTH WENT BY. When I called to follow up, the same staff member made no apology for not getting back to me and then referred to ME as rude!! She was confrontational and hostile. If you're looking for excellent care, attention to detail and professionalism in a dental setting, look elsewhere. read more

I haven't been to the dentist in years and of course had my reservation. I was greeted by the front desk receptionist with a smile. Barely waited! Susan the hygienist introduced herself. She was friendly, polite and informative. She had a lovely positive attitude. I don't know about about the other review, but I thought she took her time and was very thorough. After she was finished Dr Beamish came in who was also pleasant and examined my teeth and xrays. All around I was pleased with the experience and will be back again. I very rarely leave reviews, but seeing that this office has mixed ones I thought it was really important to leave an honest and recent review. I have severe dental anxiety, and haven't been to a dentist in over 10 years. Experiencing some pain, I called and was able to be squeezed in same day for an evaluation and to come up with a plan of care to address some of the issues. During this time, I was treated with compassion and respect. No one laughed or judged me for my fears, everything was explained in great detail, and I feel confident that I will continue to have great experiences with this office. HORRIBLE - I recently just went to Shoreline Modern and had a routine cleaning. I am in my early 40's and have had 3 cavities my entire life. It took the hygienist 4X to try and get an x-ray and after the fact, my previous dentist offered to retake them at no charge because the quality was terrible. Dr. Beamish examined my teeth in a matter of minutes and was then told I had 6 cavities and needed to schedule a follow-up to have them filled. Upon leaving, the receptionist kindly told me that my co-pay to fill my cavities would be $170 - wonderful! After leaving, I went back my previous dentist as I left there second guessing the fact I had 6 cavities in just one year. In the same week, my previous dentist re-took my x-rays to confirm there is zero evidence of tooth decay/cavities ....ZERO!!! There were two stains on the back of my teeth from my old sealants - that was it! Unreal to think you would drill 6X into someone's teeth for no reason. They take Prudential Dental insurance and Emily is a hoot! Finally got around to changing dentist to one in network and these guys were great, the office is small inviting and comfortable if not a little 70 chic with the panelling in the waiting room. Christine was very friendly and offers a personality that is priest, Rabbi and general council all rolled into one! Emily had me laughing during my routine cleaning and raised her eyebrows at my inability to floss my own teeth. Overall a great experience with a comfortable dentist office feel. read more

Unprofessional and rude. Went for my first and last appointment. Even with numbing gel, the hygienist was rough and hurtful while cleaning and my mouth was sore for days. She also stated it would probably be recommended that I have my wisdom teeth out. I didn't think the hygienist was the dentist, but I told her I have been told that for 20+ years, and my teeth were beautiful and haven't moved. I also said I was never in any kind of pain with respect to my wisdom teeth. She said, "Hmm, let's tell the dentist this." with a smirk. The dentist came in, spent about five seconds with me and said the same thing, my wisdom teeth must come out! I told her that is never going to happen. I will never have my wisdom teeth out. Both the dentist and the hygienist both laughed at me. While I am sitting in the dentists chair. I will remember that unprofessionalism for the rest of my life. read more

The dental hygienist is so rude! She gave me the most painful teeth cleaning on my life and told me it was because I don't floss. I finally had to stop her because it was so painful... Then she told me that all my teeth were going to fall out if I don't start flossing. I get it but COME ON a teeth cleaning should not be more painful than getting your wisdom teeth out. read more

Awful!!! I had two cavities filled with two different dentists and thought everything was fine. Went back and come to find out both of those cavities were done wrong and now need to be done again!! How is this even possible!! No explanation and no apology will never go back!! read more

If I could give them a negative star I would. My first visit and the hygeniest was RUDE. The dentist came in and did not introduce himself, I saw him from the dental chair upside down with the light in my eyes for less than 30 seconds. SO unprofessional. I was told I had a cavity. Went to another dentist for second oppinion. Modern Dental refused to forward my x-rays so I had to have them all done again. AND, you guessed it, I did not have a cavity after all. So glad I trusted my gut and did not trust this doctor. No way to run a business!!!! So glad I found Life Long Dental group they were awesome. read more

The office goes thru staff, and I believe it is because the male dentist there is very rude to his employees and did this in front of his patients (me being one) They had new girls at the front each time except for one named Stephanie who helped me out a lot, but one of the new office staff up front named Christine, was clueless to helping me figure out my insurance and gave me the impression she never worked in a medical office before. And there assistant Jackie was amazing but when I returned to the office last week I found out that she was not working and it made me really uncomfortable because she always made me feel welcome and claim and I had very bad anxiety when I was told she wasnt there, made me want to leave. Dr. Mirza is my dentist and she was amazing with also keeping me claim and all the work she did. Dr. Daar was the dentist the last week and he made me feel worse after the appointment because he rushed, spent no time with me, and barely answered or let me ask the questions I had for him about the procedure. read more
