We came to Show De Carnes for dinner on a Friday evening around 7:15pm. When we walked in, we were greeting by sounds of live music. Most of the inside seating was full, only 2 tables for 2 were available (were were a party of 3), but a nice lady (might be the owner's daughter) with 2 small children got up and came up to me to let me know she was getting ready to leave soon. She moved all their stuff and the 2 children to one of the small tables so the bigger table could be cleaned for us. They were a little short handed that day (owner said someone called in sick), so just the owner and cook were working. Bother owner and the cook worked fast to clean the table so we could be seated. More people came in after us and sat in their outdoor seating (a little chilly to sit outside that day). The owner did a great job serving all the customers by himself. The cook would help deliver the cooked food as well and help with customers if he wasn't cooking. The owner was apologetic about the slower service, but in actuality, it wasn't bad. As for the food, we ordered our usual, the Picanha Steak Platter (feeds 2-4 people) which is our favorite and over the best deal. Unfortunately in the past 2 years the price has gone up by about $20 (currently $70.99), but is still a great deal for 5 steaks on a sizzling platter (cooked to the doneness you want), rice and beans. We don't typically see a Brazilian steakhouse that serves à la carte, so we were really curious to check this place out. There were six of us, so we decided to order a few items from the larger-serving menu to share everything family style among us. Here is what we ordered (prices all as of June 2026): Picanha Steak Platter (served with White Rice, Black Beans, Farofa, Vinaigrette, and Chimichurri Sauce) $69.99: This was delicious and came with about five pieces of steak. What I liked most was that some of the fat was still attached to the meat, which added a ton of flavor. The White Rice was fluffy yet firm, with a subtle citrusy lime flavor that was really refreshing. The Black Beans were also tasty and savory from the sausage mixed in. Chef Special (Sliced Picanha) (served with White Rice and French Fries) $48.00: This was basically a "sliced" version of the other Picanha platter we ordered. The meat seemed leaner though, since I didn't notice any fatty pieces. Both dishes were good, and it really comes down to your personal preference on whether you enjoy a fattier cut or a leaner one. Ribeye Platter (served with White Rice, Black Beans, and Fried Polenta) $74.99: This was also very good, but several of us thought the Picanha had more flavor, so we ended up preferring that to this Ribeye. The service was pretty good, and the food presentation on hot plates was excellent. One thing to note is that the restaurant felt a bit stuffy from all the smoke coming off the hot plates, so just be aware of that as you may leave the restaurant smelling like grilled steak. There was also an additional 5% charge for credit card payments that they failed to mention until I noticed it on the bill and inquired about it. I would've much appreciated it if they had been more upfront and transparent about this fee instead of leaving us wonder and discover on our own this "supplement charge". read more

The service is super friendly and thoughtful. Picanha Steak Plate - a nice tender, beefy steak with a thin layer of fat. A carnivores dream. Also, the chimichurri sauce is delicious! We've been coming here every so often. We love the chefs special, it's perfect for the two of us for causal date night meal. The meats always delicious and I love the sides. The only thing that would make this better was if they wouldn't charge for the sauces. The first time we went I didn't know they charged per sauce and was wondering why there was an additional $12 charge to my card lol But other than that the staff are wonderful. The restaurant is in a great location and likely sees plenty of tourists on weekends, though they definitely deserve more local support during the week. We had the chance to chat with the owner for a bit and really enjoyed the conversation. Sadly, think Inflation has gotten to this place too. We were here in December for my birthday for the first time and loved this place, with the same people we left full. This time the food has definitely shrunk while prices went up. We ordered the Picanhas Steak last time and their were pretty large and filling at $49.99 it was worth coming here! This last trip, unfortunately, was a bit lack luster our steaks were so small maybe about 75% of last time and one of the 5 was so small you could take 2 of them to make what it used to be and they raised the price $10. I want to add that our steaks this time were cut so thin, I almost want to say my carne asada from a Mexican place was cut thicker than my steak. They had something going on with the kitchen that the whole place filled with smoke so we had them move us outside. I will say flavor wise this place is great, but for what you get I'm a bit saddened. Definitely a shadow of what it used to be. I am pleased to say that my experience has improved significantly since my older review. The steak Picanha plate is the greatest value and it is a very shareable portion too! The prices for other items is ridiculous though. How much for those cheesy bacon fries? Over$20 bucks? Ummm cuckoo! The Coxinha is delicious but to pay over $20 bucks for an appetizer is also bonkers! I can go to Richmond and pay half that for the quality, quantity and taste. Ribeye is supposed to be a premium cut, but the Ribeye Plate was average. In my opinion, the meat looked sad. Medium and medium rare was requested, but both steaks were undercooked. The Picanha Steak Plate was a step above the ribeye. It had more flavor, visible grill marks, and looked more llke a steak. Medium and medium rare was requested and delivered. I called 2 hours ahead to book a reservation for 6:30pm on a Saturday. I was asked to provide my name and phone number, and I was told it was confirmed. Upon on time arrival, there was no indoor table available. Outside seating was open but no one was dining in the cold weather. Sadly, the reservation was not administered because we had to wait 25 minutes for an indoor table. The staff was apologetic, however, it was not a good impression for our first visit. read more

Well, I always like to give folks a second chance to make things right...but like a poor marksman, these guys kept missing the target of delivering a satisfying dining experience. It's no wonder that we were the only clients there. FYI: They changed their name to PICANHA's EXPRESS. The menu-font was microscopically small to read. They said that they were getting new menus, and the take-out menus were all they had. I ordered a ($36) ribeye -medium. That seemed very-steep for a bistro-sized restaurant....but I wanted to give it a try, to see if the food was exceptional. My wife had the steak & eggs. My steak came out super-rare (dark-red throughout...no pink at all). I pointed this out and the explanation was that their normal chef was not in that evening, and the other guy was (essentially) learning how to cook. To the apprentice's credit, he got it right on the 2nd-try. I was willing to overlook this. My wife's steak was paper-thin. The eggs likely packed more protein than the sliver of meat below. Then, when it came time to settle-up was when the real fun began: THEY DID NOT BRING OUT A RECEIPT TO REVIEW. Rather, they cheerfully brought out their card-reader first, and we got our receipt texted to us afterward. Now, we were aware of the 5% increase, unappealingly posted all over the dining room. However, when we tallied the numbers later, my wife's meal had a 6% increase...mine was 10%.....not the 5% as posted. Furthermore, they did not inform us of an additional PASS-THROUGH FEE of 3.2% -as required by law to be conspicuously posted. It was not. We won't be going back and we'd recommend that you spend your $$$ somewhere else. McDonalds would be a better dining experience..... read more

Lucky find by accident. We were headed to Fenton's creamery next door, but the menu did not appeal to us. Saw this on Google Maps and it had such a high rating so I had to check it out. Wowzerzzzzz!!!!! It was awesome delicious!!!! My girlfriend and I split the Picanha steak platter with 5 pieces of top sirloin on a sizzling platter, white rice, black beans, chimmichurri sauce, and fresh Maracuya Passionfruit juice. So authentic and very good. Service was even authentic with Brazilian Portuguese-speaking servers. Legit place and fast service. Highly recommended! Deserves the 5 stars I am giving. read more

Coming here and stumbling upon this little gem was not on our bucket list for today but i'm glad we stopped by here instead of kiki's next door. Ive been to the larger chain where they do the all you can eat although to my surprise this was not the same. With an actual menu with different options that all looked delicious. We decided to stick with something simple just incase we didnt enjoy it but it was so good! The picanha steak plate was the PERFECT serving size . Cooked to my perfect medium alongside the rice was a great combination. The rice had a bit of flavor that wasnt too over powering and the steaks were a good standard size which came with 2 . Usually places that serve steak cheap out on the portion but gladly they didnt here. Rodrigo was super nice and attentive with us, refilled our drinks, made sure everything was perfect. He explained a little about the place and its background which is always nice to hear! He made us feel welcome as young customers we usually feel like people dont like to serve us because of the discriminatory "youth dont tip" mentality a lot of servers have but he made us feel so welcome and never felt rushed or unwanted around. We sat outside and was given your paper menu. When we went inside to pay, the price for our meal was more than what was stated on your menu. When I brought it to the cashiers attention, he pointed to a sign on the wall saying there had been a 5% food price increase. I advised that we sat outside and did not see that prior, and in any case should have been advised by our waiter, which we were not. When I said that, the cashier said sorry he should have told you. He also mentioned how they weren't going to update their menus everytime a price changed... isn't that what restaurants do?? If you check their website, the pricing for their dishes are outdated more than their menus. Updating a website is free, so it's hard to believe that they care about updating it anywhere. No price adjustment or anything. While i understand the reason for the price increase due to inflation I think it extremely shady to not update your menu or advise your customers of such a change! Regarding the food, everything lacks seasoning. You get the steak platter to share and the amount of beans that come out is a serving size for one. I was already planning not to come back but after the shady pricing on their mediocre food, it basically solidified that choice for me moving forward. read more

The restaurant seems like it has been there for quite some time now and the menus were old and frayed but the interior is kept clean and tidy. It is pretty tight inside but they have a few tables outside. It was pretty chilly but they had warmers available. My niece got one of their steaks and the portion was beyond generous! She said her steak was cooked to her liking but not seasoned well enough. I ordered the beef stroganoff and I liked it very much, I will return here just for that.
