I've picked up from Show Hotpot via DoorDash more times than I can count -- mostly because the combo meal is such an easy go-to. And it's close to my work! You choose a protein (I always go with lamb), and it comes with a great variety of goodies: napa cabbage, spinach, spam, potato, tofu, fish balls, plus rice or noodles (glass noodles are my fave), and a drink -- either their milk tea or soda. The price is solid for the amount of food you get, and the set makes it super convenient when you're craving hot soup but don't have time to build a custom order. Spice levels are adjustable, and I usually go for the spiciest -- sometimes it hits, sometimes it's more mellow than expected, but still flavorful. I've been loyal to this spot for a while and honestly would rate it a 3.5. Not spectacular, but does the job for hotpot fix. I have noted that it isn't as cleanly compared to past visits. Take it with a grain of salt though, cause I'm usually in and out! II haven't personally had a bad experience, but I'm cautious enough now that I've been considering exploring other options. I also have minimal interaction with the staff as well. Would still recommend for a quick, comforting pick-up if you're in a rush.

Our first time here at Show Hotpot. It is located inside the food court right now, but it seems to have a new location with a store. The restaurant is simple. You can pick a combo which has preset hotpot with a drink or make your own. We decided to make it our own. You can select as many items as you want and they will weigh it at the end. It's $13.99 per lb. Pretty standard pricing. They have several different brothers. I've tried the traditional beef bone broth and tomato broth. I recommend the traditional broth. Overall, I liked my broth and enjoyed my hotpot. It's individual hotpot, so each person can pick your own favorite ingredients. The tomato broth is so so. It will be great if it has a store instead of locating inside the food court. All the stores didn't open on the weekend, which looks deserted.

I was craving for Chinese soup so i was happy this place was near by. It's a food stand in a food court setting. It's Saturday night but it was very quiet. Only a few restaurants were open. We got to order our food right away. There were not as many items to choose from as with other places that I visited. The sliced beef was very fatty, you could barely see any lean meat. The soup was tasty but way too oily for my taste. Unfortunately, we got tummy ache that night because the food didn't agree with us. The price per pound was the same as other places. I wouldn't go back again.

Health department please step in. So unfortunate. I've eaten at this restaurant for 2 years almost weekly (at least biweekly). I'd say of the past 2+ years, I've gotten 4 bugs in my food. This one was the worst because I'm pretty certain this is a baby cockroach. I was a few bites into my hotpot before I noticed the bug and took it out to look at it better to make sure it actually was a bug. The food here is incredible but there's no way this restaurant is up to health code standards. Today when I went to pick up my order, the lady handed me my food from behind the counter and immediately started screaming and stomping looking at the floor. Someone from the back came running to the front with raid, so this tells me they are aware they have a bug problem but are still serving customers. I lost my appetite and just poured the rest of my dinner down the sink drain. I couldn't eat another bite knowing a cockroach was cooking in my soup. I understood the first time thinking it was just a strange situation but 4 bugs over a 2 year span? They'll be losing me and my family as one of their long time repeat customers. Hopefully the health department will force them to be up to health standards. Sad.

I was craving hotpot but also wanted to stay in, so scrolled on DoorDash and came across this spot. I ordered a mild beef combo with milk tea and side of sauces and green onions. I love how it came in a sealed container for safety purposes and it kept the meal hot! It had all the ingredients I really liked already. I do wish I ordered a medium over a mild; I thought that it would be very spicy with mild. Portions are great, and I saved half for another meal. The milk tea was decent, and it tasted more like tea than milk which is my preference. Overall, satisfied with the meal and for hotpot takeout / delivery, I'd give it an A+.

I loveee show hotpot! It is the perfect to-go meal that is also open late at night. It is also wayy cheaper than other hot pot places depending how much you add to your bowl. Hot pot is one of my favs & when I discovered Show Hotpot, it became a new staple for me in Irvine. Using their online ordering system is ideal for fast pick up. I always get a create your own, medium spicy. They do not mess around with their spice here & you will feel the after effects of the spice a few hours after eating this lol. I usually add beef slices, nappa cabbage, baby bok choy, tofu, & spinach and it is around $11. (It gets pricier the more items you add) I always ask for garlic & mix ponzu with it once I am home! Highly recommend trying this place out if you are a hot pot lover!

I had been Irvine for 5 years, this place I just discovered, and become my top first choice for having personal hotpot. The photo is one of the best food in this store called shenyang chicken rack, forgive my photo skills, but trust me, if you want to try Chinese personal hotpot and these perfect chicken racks with cheap price,I highly recommend you to be here and try. Definitely recommend giving Show Hotpot a try! The bone broth was extremely creamy and full of flavor and the serving size was generous. I opted for a "pre-designed" combination bowl but you can also pick and choose the ingredients you want. Very dishonest seller. When paying and checking out, they did not inform the customer that they need to pay an additional 3.50% fee and directly charged the customer. When the customer found out, they said that there was an announcement on the counter, and the part marked with 3.50% was already blurred. Not clear, no one will pay attention at all! Went for the soup-less beef combination. Opted for rice, house spicy sauce and the plum drink that came with the combo. I love it so much that it's the only thing I've ordered every time I'm in the neighborhood. it's become addictive. Yummy!! This place is probably one of the best kept secrets of the Irvine Asian food scene as it is tucked away in a mini food court in a strip mall away from the higher trafficked Jamboree restaurants a mile from there. read more

Located inside a food court in a shopping plaza, I saw a lot of people ordering fantuan. So if u wanted to try this place u can order it off that app. Service was great food was good, a little pricey if you're building your own bowl. But I would say it is like chipotle but with hotpot ingredients . Tip: Go late at night when the other shops are closed and it's like your own dining area. read more

BYO $13.99/lbs you can put everything you like in your own pot. Fast service and the employees are super nice and friendly . The ingredients are super fresh and clean. Also I like their package just like a boba but bigger size. The soup base is so Authentic!!! The best Malatang in Irvine or OC. Also if possible I will give 6 stars because they open until 11:45pm . I sleep late so here will be my late night kitchen for sure .Recommend it read more

It was my favorite restaurant before as the food was good when they first opened up. However, the recent encounter was very disappointing in the customer service and how they solve issues. We ordered 2 to-go over-the-counter and waited about 10min for our food. When we got home, we realized the owner messed up the spiciness level of all our orders and we immediately reached out for this issue. Their team spends about 15 min explaining how it is not their fault and they did not mix the order up, they refused to acknowledge for the mistakes they made and expect customers just to deal with it. Then they offered either to send over spicy oil or extra soup so it would be less spicy for my friend. Throughout the whole conversation, the team did not apologize for messing up the order, refused to remake the food as they have no capacity to do so, and refused to give a refund for giving the customers the wrong food order. I think the business needs to acknowledge its fault when they mess up the food and have the ability to provide satisfaction for its customers. Will not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Ended up trying this place because nothing else was open late. It's actually really good and tastes authentic. I always see at least a couple Chinese-speaking customers there when I go so that's a good sign. The mild is pretty spicy for me (I usually get mild anywhere else and it's fine but this was a bit too much). I just asked in the instructions to make it less spicy and they did. Price is fair and I like customizing my bowl. I will definitely be back. read more

Okay so I absolutely LOVE this place. I discovered this place about a month ago and I've probably been here at least 10 times in the past month. Addicted is an understatement. The food is extremely authentic and I love how everything is fresh. You can build your own bowl and choose exactly what you want and how much you want of everything. I really hope it was just a weird batch and hope they haven't changed any of the ingredients ! Also, the last couple of times I came the white rice tasted weird but it looks like whatever the issue was got fixed! The white rice is back to normal.

Once the doors opened at 11:30, a huge crowd poured in, filling the tables almost immediately and creating a waiting line outside the entrance. For my meal, I chose the Sukiyaki broth, the X-Large (20 pieces) Toro Fatty Belly, and the Garlic Shrimp as a side dish. The Toro Fatty Belly was delicious at first, but because the meat had a high fat content, it started to feel a bit too rich and greasy after a while. The Garlic Shrimp was tasty, with the flavors of the shrimp and garlic blending perfectly. If I visit again, I plan to try the Large (16 pieces) New York cut. As a side note, although this is a Japanese restaurant, it is owned by Korean, and the staff consists mostly of Hispanic and Southeast Asian employees.

As well as the meat being cooked to perfection, the seasoning was perfect as well. Another side dish that I really recommend is the Wagyu Stone Pot Rice. I love that they mix together the rice right in front of you, which adds to the premium service of the restaurant. The Wagyu Platter offered high quality fresh meats, and my favorite was the A5 Wagyu Brisket. Every time I dipped the meat into the broth, the meat pieces would absorb all of the flavors from the broth and create an explosion of flavor in each bite. I tried both the House Spicy and Beef Bone broths and both were delicious in their own way. Their House Spicy is definitely on the spicy side, so be careful! And I'm sure the higher priced menu sets have higher quality cuts. We loved all the veggies and noodles you can order and there was a sweet rice cake dessert that was absolutely delicious. Each order of meat was also quite large so I would watch out for how many sets you initially plan to order.

You can either order your own personal bowl with their set combo or build your own. I decided to build my own, they have over 30 different ingredients to chose from and 3 different spiciness levels. I went for the mild and it was just the right amount of spice for me. Our order only took a few minutes to deliver which was great as I was able to enjoy it during my lunch break. You get to chose from a variety of meats, veggies, carbs, and broth. Omg. This place is so gross. I went in around 10:30 pm and try to get some ma La tang. There were flies flying around the meat and when the guy grabbed the meat using the dirty gloves I was so grossed out.
