As requested, Hubs emailed pics of our house and received a quote (house, gutters & outside of windows) that afternoon. Thursday was (another) slightly damp day, so we were contacted that am to see if we wanted to proceed, which Hubs confirmed. Fred (owner) & Derrick arrived @30 minutes beforehand and let us know how they planned on getting tasks completed. (Note: they were very appreciative that we'd mostly cleared off front & back porch ourselves.) Derrick got onto our roof in front to access all our gutters (2+ stories in back) & it was incredible how much gunk blew out after so many years. Fred covered all outdoor sockets & removed screens (later cleaned & reinstalled) and then both alternated between soft washing a side & then cleaning windows. Three other young men arrived & finished up windows. Asked Fred about second story windows that were not dried off and he said solution they use prevents all water spots when dried and said if not "call us and we'll come out to fix it." (Next day: no spots anywhere.) Previous company had power washed our vinyl which left streaks on our (then 10-yr old) siding & windows, so were glad to find a company that uses a different, and very successful, technique. TRULY THE WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! I want to…read morestart by saying that I have NEVER left a negative review in my life, as I'm generally a patient and understanding person, but my experience today with Rost was quite possibly the worst customer experience I've ever had. My wife and I stopped by, excited to find some trees put the final touches on our project. When we arrived there was no one in the main shop available to assist, so we walked back towards the trees expecting to find staff who could help. The first staff member we found insisted that she was "way to busy" to help and that we had to go back and find someone in the main shop. Based on that exchange my wife wanted to leave right then, but we continued to look at the trees on our own. After little luck we did go back to the main shop and found someone who we inquired with about another tree type. They happened to have the variety we were looking for, great! One was in a pot at the shop, and I was informed that they had others in the back. I didn't necessarily want the one that was in the pot, so after we paid I asked: "Do I just drive back and pick one up?" And was told "yes" No assistance was offered, and no additional instruction. Fine, I'm totally capable, so we hopped in the truck and drove back to where she said they were, and I loaded a tree. As I'm turning the truck around to leave a man by the name of Gary or Greg on a skid steer flagged us down, and went on to berate us for driving back there, saying "what the hell are you doing?", further explaining that he could turn a corner and run into the truck. Sir, I'm in a full size truck that can't be missed, yet there are pedestrians on foot all over the yard. If your driving is so erratic that you might run into a TRUCK, I'd say you have a higher likelihood of running into a PERSON...and maybe more care should be taken in how the machinery is operated on-site. So after all of this...asking for assistance and being told everyone was too busy, after being told that I can drive back in the yard, after loading everything on my own, and then after being yelled at for driving back in the yard...I went back to the main shop and returned the tree I had just purchased, and of course unloaded it with no assistance offered. I'm sure my random tree purchases every few years mean very little compared to larger commercial buyers, but for anyone reading this just be aware that you are NOT valued as a customer here, so don't expect to be treated as such.
