So they came out and cut his tree first thing in the morning, and while they were finishing up, grinding up his stomp. It came over to my house and did what I needed to be done. They left both houses like they hadn't been there. They did a real good job of that. We both were very pleased at what we saw at both houses. The reason for the three stars (which I will raise ,if, the outcome of this is sufficient) is in the paragraph below. The guys were fast, efficient, and very tidy. They asked numerous times throughout the job if the trim was good or if I wanted it cut back more etc. So we had two water oaks removed from our property today. Everything was going great until it wasn't. I have attached pictures. The new truck they use to cut trees had a malfunction and a piece of the tree fell straight through our roof. I heard the loud bang and waited a few minutes before going outside because I knew it wasn't good haha. The guy operating the crane was pacing back and forth on the phone with his supervisors explaining what happened. He then proceeds to tell me something went wrong and that there is a hole in my roof. I feel many times the, initial, reaction is to panic and put blame on a company or an individual, instead of, just coming to terms with the fact that shit happens. I could see how concerned and upset this gentleman was at the fact he had just put a hole in my roof. As much as I wanted to I didn't see the need to let him know how upset I was. It says licensed and insured on there advertisements so I guess we will be putting that to the test. It is 3:21 on 4/25/2023 and I have been told there is a roof guy that will come and tarp the roof and then they will fix it. So to anyone who ever wondered what happens if they drop a tree on your house stay tuned! From my experience so far they have been extremely professional. I will update the stars to 5 once they fix my roof, lol, but for now I think everyone understands I got to go with the three (only because there is a hole in the roof. They came out and took care of some of the branches that were damaged in Hurricane Ida but they left numerous widow makers that were broken and hung up into other branches. They also ran their damn skid steer through 8 feet of my fence breaking one board and ripping the others off the runners. When we brought it to their attention the guy told me they have a "special crew" that would come repair it by the end of the day. I had to repair the fence so that we could let the dogs out and block the broken board area. Mind you I don't live at this house so I wasn't aware that they had never come back to repair it. When I contacted them they assured me that they didn't know about the broken fence and they had to "put eyes on it because it was the first he's hearing about the fence being damaged". This was about 5 months in the waiting for them to fix it but they never came back. After contacting them the guy told me that they did not have hanging branches and showed me pictures of the tree that was in full growth status. If you were in the tree you would have seen them. What the problem is here is that they were in the tree with a lift and didn't see numerous branches hanging that are definitely a danger. See pictures of what they left in the tree and you could see them in full greenery. Sad thing is their guy said that he would gladly pay me for one broken fence board.

I tried to contact him again the following week, but could not reach him - message left requesting a return call. No return call came. We hired Zeigler Tree Service to come out to do the job. They were little more expensive, but we know we can count on them....and by the way, when we called them back to see if they were still able to do the job - THEY KNEW WHO WE WERE!!!!

He did ask for payment upfront and I had no issue paying this, did so via Venmo......the crew came out and took the tree down, old-school style. And let me explain that what entailed: A tree expert climbing to the top of the tree and lopping off branch by branch, trunk piece by trunk piece, while a crew of 2-3 guys had a rope and were balancing him AND the tree parts as they were being hacked off.
