They…read morecheck with your insurance company to see if you have coverage but DO NOT check to see what the insurance company actually covers. It was over $500 for our 3 kids every time they went because they do services that may or may not be covered by insurance. They told us it was our responsibility to know what was covered before they do it. We have switched to a different dentist because of this. I would recommend the services but want to advise you they don't care if their services are covered or not. Very disappointed they are not patient advocates in that manner.

They have kerig coffee and bottled water always on hand and have some delicious cookies and sometimes popcorn. Dr. Simpson is so nice and friendly and you can tell truly cares about his patients you aren't treated like a paycheck. And he's very good at making sure you don't feel any pain whatsoever and if you have really bad anxiety about the dentist like I do he will take care of that as well. We decided on South Shreveport Dental because they had a great deal going on for new patients along with great reviews. We LOVED it here! All the staff was very welcoming and kind. Our hygienist was just plain incredible with kids!!! My kids absolutely fell in love with her. They kept asking when their next visit was going to be?! That has never happened before. I like that we as a family will be able to have the same dentist. Dr. Simpson was super funny and bonded well with my kids. The way to win a parent is always how well you treat their kids! Don't listen to the reviews either, they persuade customers to leave a positive review after your first visit. I started my journey here back in November for a tooth extraction and dental implant surgery. The entire procedure was meant to be a redo of a failed root canal. But, of course, that option is cheaper, so they convinced me to get an implant instead. After my tooth extraction, they never called me to even schedule my follow up appointment for the implant. I had to reach out to them first. Five whole months go by and it's finally time for my permanent crown... and it DOESN'T fit. I paid $4,000 cash and you can't even get it right?? Whatever, they told me to come back early the next week when they get another one. Well, a week goes by, NOBODY CALLED ME. I reached out myself, they told me to come in the next day for my implant as I will be leaving with a new smile. I took off work to make the appointment.. just for them to call as I was pulling in the parking lot that there was a misunderstanding and my crown hasn't even shipped yet. Absolutely pathetic!!!!! The mental damage this has caused me can never be fixed or replaced. It's something I have to live with, but PLEASE consider other options before coming here to waste your money and time...

It's been one thing after another from changing my…read moredaughter's treatment halfway through the procedure, to billing issues, communication issues, telling us they did things they didn't actually do, the list goes on. We were blindsided by bills every visit, but the last visit was especially hard because of financial issues and when I called to ask questions, they were rude, argumentative, and tried to say they told us about the charges beforehand. If I say I was not told, then I was not told, telling me I must have forgotten or repeatedly saying I was told does not do anything besides make me more angry about the situation. They aren't willing to discuss and negotiate ANYTHING, they just refused to work with us at all on anything. They have been pushy and stressed extreme urgency with almost everything related to my daughter's care despite 4-5 other dentists saying they've never heard of a dentist doing this that or the other before, but everybody here thinks they're the best. My own experiences prior to this differed so much that I just figured pediatric dental care must have to follow different standards of care, policies, procedures that I've never heard of before and that aren't listed anywhere with the pediatric dental associations I've talked with (state and national). Worst experience I've ever had with a dentist!!

The young lady (I believe her name was Kam) at the front desk was by herself checking people in and out and even though it was very busy she was serving each person with the biggest smile and the most heartfelt personality. If she was overwhelmed you never would have known. She welcomed us in and answered every question we had with ease and made us feel very taken care of & help our children feel comfortable and even explained in a way they understood what they were getting done.
