Her design instincts were spot-on, perfectly balancing style and practicality, which is crucial for a vacation rental. She really understood how to make the space beautiful and functional for guests. We kept most of the existing furniture, but updated everything around it--décor, layout, even knocking down a wall to open up the space. From little touches like textiles and lighting to bigger remodeling decisions, every detail was thoughtfully handled. Cilla coordinated everything from start to finish and kept me in the loop throughout. I never had to worry about a thing. All of the contractors she brought in were professional and did excellent work. I've worked with another remote designer in the past, and this experience was worlds better--smoother, more efficient, and just a higher level of execution all around. Since the redesign, we've had a healthy boost in bookings, and guest reviews have been consistently glowing--people frequently comment on the design and overall quality of everything. The color palette is perfectly complimentary from room to room, the furniture is perfect, the rugs look better with the wall colors and furniture than I could ever have imagined. She has a wonderful sense of color and proportion and is easy to work with. Her custom cabinet maker does quality work just takes awhile because he has so many other jobs in front of yours but certainly worth the wait. Deb designed all the built-ins for my office and closet. The result is as functional and visually appealing as it gets. I am not the easier person to work with because I lack the ability to visualize how something will look so her guidance was invaluable and I'm sure saved me many expensive shopping oops. Additionally she guided me through purchasing quality bedding in the right colors for my bedroom. She and her assistant even came to hang my pictures and arrange my decorative accent pieces including family treasures. The only drawback is she is quite busy and I usually have to wait a week for an open slot in her calendar. Since she has been doing this for thirty years I suppose that's not surprising. Susan and her staff are so talented, helpful, and friendly and they expertly piece together charcuterie boards and boxes that truly fit any occasion or dietary needs. For my work event boxes, they were able to alter a box slightly for a gluten-free attendee and clearly labeled that box, too. Much-appreciated. The shop itself is so cute, nestled across from the Cedar Bluff strip of shops/Kroger. It admittedly took me far too long to realize that the entrance is not directly under their building sign, but through a walkway to the left of Hound Dogs. There is an adorable little patio setup outside the small shop. Inside, there is a descriptive menu, some merch, a cooler holding both orders and ready-made items for spontaneous munchie needs. There is also a large selection of doggie treats. Their website is descriptive, easy to order from, and customer service fabulous if/when you have questions. The food itself is fresh and is so dang pleasing to the eye. My sample boxes looked like small works of art and my event attendees were raving about them! Can't wait to order from here again.
