Love this place for dine in. The ambiance is great, with tablecloths and ornately folded napkins. I met a friend here and we both really enjoyed our meals. We stayed for a while visiting, and the servers were professional and didn't rush us to turn over the table. There are a lot of good Thai restaurants around Newport, RI, but Siam Square Cuisine really stands out. There's a ton to choose from on the menu. We started with the Tofu Triangle. It was good crispy, nicely cooked the sauce really was a stand out for me. Well, a few of my other family members would have preferred soy sauce but a bit pricey for what it was. Not amazing, just decent. Good portion though. Everyone at the table loved the Tom Yum soup. It's not really my thing since I don't love coconut-based soups, but everyone else was raving and said it was the best they've had. I ordered the Crispy Duck and it was the highlight of the meal. The duck tasted very fresh, and CRISPY the sauce was sweet and spicy, and the greens tasted more like baked kale than fried light, not greasy, and full of flavor. Really excellent. However, it can get quite heavy as my boyfriend really liked his food, but the sauce was a bit much for him with the heaviness of the duck so just keep that in mind I thought it was fine. I liked it so personal preference. There was a small mix-up where my food was accidentally taken away and thrown out, but the staff handled it well and made me a smaller batch to go. I was a little bummed not to get all the extra greens I'd saved, but they genuinely tried to make it right. I also kept changing my mind on my main dish once I realized something was coconut-based, and the staff was incredibly patient and kind the whole time. We dined at this restaurant on a our first night while vacationing on Aquidneck Island. Unfortunately there was a large (15) party of naval personnel already seated with most of the other tables occupied as we entered. Credit goes to the 2 servers who were working as fast as possible though it was difficult for them and the kitchen to keep up. We immediately realized the problem and took in stride. My wife ordered "Lady in Green" which included salmon in a green curry sauce along with zucchini, peas and snow peas. I chose the "Fisherman's Madness" a variety of seafood with peas, carrots, bell peppers and basil leaves. I had no idea that this restaurant was in this tiny shopping center parking is limited so if you plan on going with friends, I recommend carpooling together to avoid any parking disasters. Delicious food amazing service honestly, I have nothing but great things to say about this place. I was pleasantly surprised by the golden puffs that I had and the fried rice is probably the best fried rice I've had in the state of Rhode Island and believe me I've been looking for good fried rice and I have not been able to find any. Living in the West Bay, we decided to cross the bridges at try this place out. First, it is NOT loud. We dislike places that are so loud it is difficult to enjoy a discussion with another person, let alone a table of 4 or 6 people. We tried the tasty Nim Chow with a sauce that is sweeter than expected. It was good those I still like a more vinegary peanut sauce plus hot sauce and hoisin. Usually we order for pick up but this time we dined in. Lighting was warm and welcoming and the staff were all very nice. We ordered chicken satay, fresh rolls with shrimp and the dumplings. The fresh rolls were delicious and light. The dumplings were good too, but it was my first time having them so I don't have anything to compare it to. I didn't have any of the chicken satay but my 8 year old daughter did and loved it. I had the Pad Thai for my meal and it didn't disappoint. The serving size was huge and I ended up taking most of it home --hurray leftovers for lunch! We finished our meal with the fried ice cream and honey banana rolls. I ordered the Red Curry with beef. It didn't taste bad but it lacked intensity of flavors. Not too many piece of beef and the beef felt chewy like a lesser grade of beef intended for slow roasting, not quick sautéing. The vegetables in the curry were delicious. I asked for a spice rack and it tasted better with the extra chili powder and sauce. I would go back and try something else. My go to Thai restaurant in the Newport/Middletown area! The food is always consistently good every time I've been. The crispy duck is a standout. Moist duck with crispy skin, crispy greens and a sweet chili sauce that brings everything together. The Pad Thai is like most Pad Thai I've had before but in a good way! Exactly what I'm expecting flavor and consistency-wise but not groundbreaking. I prefer the veggie Pad Thai versus the regular Pad Thai as sometimes the chicken in the regular Pad Thai is a bit dry and I can leave the shrimp. Great Thai dining experience today in Newport RI. One of my lady friend favorite places to dine prior to shopping in the area. So today I accompanied her today for some lunch and was very pleased. My Bangkok Beef showed up sizzling hot. The Asian version of steak fajitas in my opinion. Beef smothered in onions & beef in Thai sauce makes for an amazing lunch treat. First, my family and I frequent this restaurant often. We really enjoy eating Thai cuisine especially a place like this with great plant based options. I wish that I had some current photos to share. My favorite items to eat include Thai basil nuggets and vegetable spring rolls for a starter dish. Second I love the vegetable fried rice substituted without eggs to include fried tofu. Really yummy! All of the curry dishes are delicious. I'm a fan of eggplant but honestly it could be better here. No offense because they have really good customer service for the most part. There's a picture of the Thai king displayed, which says everything that needs to be said about the food lol. It was of course extremely delicious, and the restaurant provided plenty of veggies and meat for the price. I loved the presentation, and even the utensils were solid and felt nice to use. First time in Rhode Island in December and it seems like a lot of restaurants in the area closed for the winter season. We decided to give this a place try. It didn't disappoint. The cream cheese wontons are delicious, and the Siam rolls were very good. I will say the cream cheese wontons are tiny and I wish they came with a few more. I got the pad Thai which would have been absolutely delicious if they didn't cook it in a dirty pan. It was quite burnt and had a seriously dirty pan taste to it. You don't need to go to New York, Boston, or Providence for quality, affordable Thai cuisine - look no further than Siam Square, a gorgeous and relaxed bistro offering some of the best Thai food I've ever had! I haven't dined here all that often because up until recently, they did not offer delivery and it is kind of a trek for me, but they just got on Uber Eats and now you can order contactless delivery from the comfort of your home. I'm so excited about that, and can't wait to test it out! That being said, dining in at Siam Square is a real treat. The restaurant is rarely crowded, even at peak times on weekend nights. With a sparkling clean dining room, gold and red accented decorations, and friendly, attentive service, you can't go wrong if you choose to stay for dinner. They are also doing a great job with COVID protocol, keeping a robust log of guests for contact tracing, enforcing mask wearing and distancing, and sanitizing surfaces and tables between customers. I have dined in twice here during the pandemic, and both times I felt very safe. They also offer pickup if you don't wish to dine in or you live outside of the delivery radius. I LOVE THE CHICKEN MADNESS DISH! Oh my god, it is wonderful and basically lives rent-free in my brain. This is one of my new favorite foods in Rhode Island, and pretty much anywhere. It's a simple dish with ground chicken and a variety of spices plus Thai basil, but is insanely flavorful, spicy, and quite healthy. You can order it with or without rice (I'm trying to cut carbs, so I get it sans rice, but I honestly don't even miss it!), and also the option to add a fried egg on top, which I highly recommend. I also enjoy their Wonton Soup, which has been a great light appetizer on cold winter nights, and the Thai Iced Tea, which they actually serve unsweetened! It is so hard to find unsweetened Thai Tea, and I'm so glad Siam Square actually has this. Right now, those are my fave things to order, but I plan on trying more of the extensive menu in the future. I cannot recommend Siam Square enough. It is VERY much worth the trip outside of Newport or over the bridge(s)! read more

We decided to give Siam Square another try for some quarantine takeout, and I am glad that we did! I ordered the Chicken Imperial Special and it was delicious! Tender chicken with peppers, pineapple, and cashews in a sweet, delicious chili sauce. I will certainly get this again the next time we go to Siam Square.
