    Crispy duck

There are a lot of good Thai restaurants around Newport, RI, but Siam Square Cuisine really stands out. There's a ton to choose from on the menu. We started with the Tofu Triangle. It was good crispy, nicely cooked the sauce really was a stand out for me. Well, a few of my other family members would have preferred soy sauce but a bit pricey for what it was. Not amazing, just decent. Good portion though. Everyone at the table loved the Tom Yum soup. It's not really my thing since I don't love coconut-based soups, but everyone else was raving and said it was the best they've had. I ordered the Crispy Duck and it was the highlight of the meal. The duck tasted very fresh, and CRISPY the sauce was sweet and spicy, and the greens tasted more like baked kale than fried light, not greasy, and full of flavor. Really excellent. However, it can get quite heavy as my boyfriend really liked his food, but the sauce was a bit much for him with the heaviness of the duck so just keep that in mind I thought it was fine. I liked it so personal preference. There was a small mix-up where my food was accidentally taken away and thrown out, but the staff handled it well and made me a smaller batch to go. I was a little bummed not to get all the extra greens I'd saved, but they genuinely tried to make it right. I also kept changing my mind on my main dish once I realized something was coconut-based, and the staff was incredibly patient and kind the whole time. Great food, great service, and definitely worth coming back.

We dined at this restaurant on a our first night while vacationing on Aquidneck Island. Unfortunately there was a large (15) party of naval personnel already seated with most of the other tables occupied as we entered. Credit goes to the 2 servers who were working as fast as possible though it was difficult for them and the kitchen to keep up. We immediately realized the problem and took in stride. My wife ordered "Lady in Green" which included salmon in a green curry sauce along with zucchini, peas and snow peas. I chose the "Fisherman's Madness" a variety of seafood with peas, carrots, bell peppers and basil leaves. Hers was very good while I was bit disappointed in mine due to the quality (green lipped mussels and ??? fish).

First impressions was that the restaurant was clean, busy, and easy on the eyes with wooden floors and bamboo sidings. The service was prompt, professional and friendly. I ordered the Red Curry with beef. It didn't taste bad but it lacked intensity of flavors. Not too many piece of beef and the beef felt chewy like a lesser grade of beef intended for slow roasting, not quick sautéing. The vegetables in the curry were delicious. I asked for a spice rack and it tasted better with the extra chili powder and sauce. I would go back and try something else. I'm wondering if they have to tone down the flavor to appease customers who don't know how to eat spicy food.

Every single thing we ordered was delightful! We had strong, tasty cocktails and delicious noodles and curry, finished with the fried ice cream. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere and excellent service.

Fantastic food. Great service. Lots of tables but still feels cozy. This has quickly become our favorite Thai spot and one of our favorite spots in general!

Siam square is my go to because of their tom yum soup. It very large and has a herbal spice and has slight hint of sour. Noodles, cilantro, chicken with a fried wonton on top. It's delicious. Their green curry chicken is lovely. Fresh veggies like eggplant and peppers excel the flavor. They say it's spicy but I just find it delicious.

I wanted Thai food and more specifically a good wonton soup that was flavorful and warm and Siam Square was just the spot. I also wanted a flavorful dish with vegetables and chicken and the item I ordered hit the spot. This is a comfortable location with plenty of seating, and it's decorated nicely inside. Our server was very attentive even with a large party celebrating an event. The wine we ordered was very nice as well. I appreciated the attention to the vegetables being cooked al dente.

My go to Thai restaurant in the Newport/Middletown area! The food is always consistently good every time I've been. The crispy duck is a standout. Moist duck with crispy skin, crispy greens and a sweet chili sauce that brings everything together. The Pad Thai is like most Pad Thai I've had before but in a good way! Exactly what I'm expecting flavor and consistency-wise but not groundbreaking. I prefer the veggie Pad Thai versus the regular Pad Thai as sometimes the chicken in the regular Pad Thai is a bit dry and I can leave the shrimp. Service can be a bit slow when they are busy but everyone is always polite and the food comes out pretty quickly once you get your order in.

Great Thai dining experience today in Newport RI. One of my lady friend favorite places to dine prior to shopping in the area. So today I accompanied her today for some lunch and was very pleased. My Bangkok Beef showed up sizzling hot. The Asian version of steak fajitas in my opinion. Beef smothered in onions & beef in Thai sauce makes for an amazing lunch treat. Shared some Tom Yung Gai soup which is absolutely outstanding and one of the finer options on the menu. I think you'll find this place to meet your satisfaction I know it does mine.

Food was tasty and plentiful. Waitress was attentive and nice. Ambiance is elegant/casual and quiet.

There's a picture of the Thai king displayed, which says everything that needs to be said about the food lol. It was of course extremely delicious, and the restaurant provided plenty of veggies and meat for the price. I loved the presentation, and even the utensils were solid and felt nice to use. Although the exterior looks unassuming, the inside of the restaurant was cozy. Parking is free and convenient. I will definitely eat here again when I'm in the area.

The restaurant has a very calming atmosphere inside and while small, even has outdoor seating. Drinks/apps: we always start off with Thai iced teas, these are a must. They are sweet but not overly so, and go very well with any dish you order. We also love the spring rolls, mango fresh rolls, and our favorite, the curry puffs. They are flakey and filled with sweet/savory vegetable flavors. Of course we also get the edamame because it's a nice little snack. Entrees: my current favorite is the malay noodle soup, it comes out steaming hot and is so creamy and filling. There is plenty of beef and wonderful steamed broccoli that soaks up the flavor of the soup. I also love the Rad Na, which is an assortment of steamed vegetables in a gravy-like curry. This one is perfect for colder months, since it really warms you up. My bf has gotten various curries and the vermicelli trio which he has enjoyed very much as well. Dessert: we haven't tried any dessert here because we end up getting so full from the other dishes! Each time we go I anticipate that I will need to be carried out, because I will probably go into a food coma. TL;DR: For those visiting Newport, do not pass up trying this place if you're not in the mood for the overwhelming amount of seafood restaurants located here. You can't really go wrong with any dish, make sure to get Thai iced teas and you will leave really full and happy :)

Crispy spring rolls A+, Asian chicken wings A+, Beef and chicken drunken noodles A+. My advice: 1. ask for extra sauce for the chicken wings. Note that they are really big wings...this is a shareable appetizer. 2. The crispy spring rolls are incredible. A single order is four small rolls. 3. Their drunken noodles are packed with meat and vegetables. We ask for extra noodles to balance it out. We highly recommend this place. We travel on our boat full time, so once we find our favorite spots, we crave them. Thai cuisine is a place we love!

I've seen the place before on yelp with good reviews and wanted to try for a while but since i don't go to newport often we decided to give it a try since we were in the area. It's a ramen shop in busy newport touristic area by the port. It's located inside the plaza and has parkings as well. Its was busy time of the week so the parking was full so we ended up finding a street parking a but far and walked over. Since its was nice out they had outside patio seatings as well but it was busy so we sat inside. Inside is decent size and has multiple seatings and tables that accommodates medium size groups. They seem to also have their own ramen noodle making area where the worker is hand making noodles and you can see them through the glass. We sat down and looked at the menu. They offer variety of drinks including bubble tea, alcoholic drinks and refresher as well with some interesting flavors. There are some appetizers and ramen noodle options. We tried the gochujang chicken bao bun, and spicy chili dumplings as appetizers.i tried their hong kong bubble tea and got the tonkotsu ramen. Gochujang chicken bao bun was tasty. Nice and fluffy bun and flavorful fried chicken paired well. I was expecting more or gochujang flavor but it actually tasted more like buffalo or hot chicken. Spicy chili dumplings were okay. Hong kong tea had good tea flavor and boba was chewy and sweet. The tonkotsu ramen was quite good. Flavorful pork broth paired well with garlic oil. Noodles were firm and thin as they seemed to be hand made. Chasu was fatty and flavorful. Egg was good but could use a bit more flavor if they were be marinated and should be a bit more yolky for ramen eggs. Overall a solid ramen. Service was good and the waitress was attentive. When i mentioned that i had to leave in a timely manner as we were going to be on a sunset cruise she brought the check right away with some bag and bowls to take the leftover home which was thoughtful. Overall we had a great experience at the restaurant and i was quite impressed by their ramen especially considering the options available in RI. Service was good and was not too busy despite being touristic area. This may be one of top spot for ramen in RI currently.
