Pleasant and simple decor

A welcome good option in this area. It is challenging to find good Chinese away from the South area of Sacramento. Hot and sour soup is loaded up and so delicious!!! Lunch menu only during the week and they have a special menu for that. Lunch includes rice, soup etc while dinner is a la carte These are from the dinner menu and the portions are generous! I had leftovers since it was just me today. Fantastic food. Helpful and kind service. The food came out nice and hot. Freshly prepared and very tasty. I'll be back and recommend this for anyone who enjoys good Chinese food.

The food here was delicious . My husband took me here and we were pretty impressed with the service and food . We ordered the magic chili beef extra crispy. Omg you can eat the chilies they are crispy and great flavor just be careful and don't eat the little ones because those are very spicy. If you like spice then please go ahead. We also got fish and my son ordered the magic chili with chicken. The service was great very friendly family I will definitely be back again in fact we've already been here twice

We were going to play some pool and saw this new restaurant and decided to stop in for dinner. I am so glad we found this spot! I rarely write reviews but it is a new restaurant and it exceeded our expectations! The food was delicious, hot, and came out very fast! They have a fantastic menu and great service! Generous portions and the spring rolls were fresh! The restaurant was clean and tidy as well! This is our new go to spot for Chinese food and it should be yours as well!

Came here during soft opening. Ordered the veg mapo tofu, shrimp fried rice, kung pao shrimp and this fish soup. They gave sooo much shrimp for all the dishes!! Everything was really good! The fish soup was sour/spicy if you like that. Id probably rate that first, and then the fried rice and kung pao were both tied for #2. So much flavor!

We came across this restaurant by accident and it turned out that today was their soft opening. The food was delicious and the service was so friendly. We ordered the shrimp fried rice, vegetarian mapo tofu, pickle fish soup hot pot, and kung pao prawns. My mom is very picky when it comes to food but she was pleasantly surprised by how delicious everything was. Our favorite was definitely the shrimp fried rice and my siblings loved the pickle fish soup hot pot. This is for sure our new go-to Chinese restaurant.

Waitress gave us a few minutes to make our decision and our order was processed and receive within minutes. Our order arrived fresh + hot and you can tell all the vegetables were freshly prepared that day in fact it was apparent that the seafood was not frozen. The dining room is very inviting, comfortable, relaxing, and trendy. It makes you forget you're not at home. I strongly recommend this place as a go to restaurant because it will be on my list.

This restaurant had been…read moreon my radar for sometime, but the fact that it was called Folsom Palace lead my brain to believe it was in Folsom-took me a minute to grasp that it was actually right down the street from me in Citrus Heights. Our usual family of four was a family of three for the evening and this was the restaurant we chose. Boy did family member number four miss out! The service was impeccable from the moment that we walked in. That includes being greeted right away. The waitstaff was incredibly attentive and on top of the details. We ordered some pretty standard items off the menu to please everyone-vegetable chow mein, lemon chicken and pot stickers. Even though these might sound like boring dishes, they actually came out with such flair! The presentation on the dishes were gorgeous. They tasted amazing as well. I love the lighting of the restaurant. It gave it such a chill vibe. It's on a very busy street but you've never know it once you walk in it kind of feels like you are more tucked away in a smaller neighborhood.. I'm definitely looking forward to the next visit where I can try some more items like their Korean short ribs, I'd love to try some of their Curry's and a lot more of their chef specials!

Review #666 Spoooky!!!! Lol…read more Wow!! Delicious!! After our day date, we worked up an appetite. He told me about Beijing Gourmet and how good he thought it was. Haha, ok. I'll bite. We were about 20 minutes away when we ordered by phone. We went with some Sesame Chicken and Chicken Chowmein. When we arrived we were still waiting since they were making orders ahead of us. We sat in the dining room, which is not set up for anyone to dine in. This seemed to be only a pick up type of place. After about 15 more minutes our order was ready. The woman was so nice and packed up a couple plates, with silverware, napkins, soy sauce, and fortune cookies. We hopped back into the truck and drove back to his house for the remainder of our date. After another 20 minute drive, we went inside and out food was still piping hot! The only issue we had was that the paper plates were so thin. We literally only got 2 of the thinnest plates you could find on the market. Putting anything on them would bleed through... so if you ask for plates double or triple up what you really need. The Sesame Chicken was very good. Cooked fresh. The crunch on the outside of the chicken and the taste of the sauce was spot on. The Chicken Chowmein noodles were just as delicious! This spot was so close to my parents house, I am so surprised I had never discovered it! Good food ended with a gorgeous night!!

04.26.26 Mama (that's me) was in the mood for some Chinese,…read moreso instead of taking hubby for a sit down spot in Roseville/Granite Bay I've been meaning to take him to, we opted for takeout close to home. We've tried several spots in the area after our typical go-to hadn't been great the last few times we ordered. So, I turned to my trusty Yelp and found Pearl House. Hubs knew exactly where it was--next door to Grocery Outlet. I thought it was closed last time we were at GC, like closed closed. So when we saw pics from 3days ago, we knew that wasn't the case. Being 7pm on a Sunday, we saw they closed at 9pm. So, looked at their menu online, we decided on our order: Hubs' go-to whenever trying a new place is General Tso's Chicken, and I tried something new-Happy Family because I was in the mood for a protein variety dish, and this had quite the variety: scallop, shrimp, calamari, crabmeat, chicken, BBQ pork, and beef with a plethora or veggies. We also wanted egg rolls. I called and a lady answered, took my order, and said it'd be ready in 10min. Didn't take my name or number-wow! Not only did I think that was kinda crazy, but TEN minutes?!?! This was either gunna blow my mind or be horrible. We drove over and upon entering there were a few people inside leaving--not sure if they were also to-go or has finished eating there. I looked around and saw many empty tables, but clean looking dining room area. A lady behind the counter wearing a face mask asked to help me. I let her know I was there to pick up, and she asked what I ordered. Our order was already boxed up ready to go. Our total? $41 before tip. I asked her if they did sit down, she confirmed yes. Then I told her it was my first time in there, to which she asked where I lived and that they've been there for 37 YEARS! Then she said she hopes we like our food and to see us again. I grabbed a to-go menu and went on my way. The food smelled good and when we got home, I grabbed my own chopsticks and hot chili oil, and was ready to grub. In the box, besides our ordered food, they included sweet & sour sauce for the egg rolls, as well as soy sauce packets and individually wrapped fortune cookies. I first went for an eggroll, which was surprisingly longer in length than most other places. Took a bite and enjoyed that wonderful crispy outside texture, and saw it was veggie only inside--whomp, whomp. In my mind, these should really be called spring rolls. However, these had some REALLY great flavor!! Hubs enjoys meat in his rolls, but after explaining the flavor, he still tried one himself and was quite happy with it. He had taken a bite of his GT Chicken and said it was pretty good. He said it tasted a little too sweet, almost dessert-y, but that it was also really good. I tried a small piece and liked how crispy it was even in all the sweet sauciness. Then I opened my dish and boy oh boy did it look good. Now before I talk about how it tasted, I need to explain what I thought I was getting. The menu said all those proteins I mentioned, and that it was tossed with snow pea pods, broccoli tips, mushrooms (which I ordered without) and baby corn. All veggies I enjoy! So, what my dish actually came with (as you can see in my pic), there was onions, carrots, celery, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, NO calamari or baby corn or BBQ pork. That all said, I was most disappointed in not having the calamari, BBQ pork or baby corn. Sad, yes. But the overall dish made up for it. With that, I was not mad AT ALL, and surprisingly ate the entire thing in one sitting--NOT a usual thing for me!! Granted, I hadn't eaten since breakfast, but still. It was DEE-LICIOUS and I'll say Dee-approved!! I'm literally writing this review immediately after eating dinner because it was THAT good y'all! I couldn't not let my people know that Pearl House is legit and it's obvious why they've been around for 37 years. This may be our new go-to spot for that neighborhood Chinese food craving, IJS. So, if you're in the area and looking for some authentic Chinese cuisine, look no further and check out Pearl House for yourself. We most definitely will be back. P.S. And them fortune cookies are good too!
