My wife and I had a family member who underwent unexpected surgery and wanted to send some flowers ASAP (i'm out of state). We wanted to support a small business and found this shop through a google search. Their website was super easy to navigate and made ordering efficient. I placed the order online but realized I was an hour past the same day delivery window. I gave the shop a call - a shot in the dark - to ask if there was anyway I could get them delivered the same day. A very friendly guy (whose name I sadly can't remember) answered the phone and listened to my request, looked up the address, and told me "Sure thing buddy, no problem, we've got ya covered" and confirmed they'd be able to make it happen. I have to be honest, I was blown away at the kindness - he didn't treat me like an inconvenience and imo went above and beyond. I later received a text from my family member who said the flowers were a total surprise, beautifully arranged, and really lifted their spirits on a tough and painful day. This shop helped make that happen and I'm really glad I found them. They even thanked me for supporting their small business. Blown away and would gladly give them business over and over. Not only did they create really beautiful sympathy arrangements with all of the colors that we wanted, but we also found a little planter from them on one of the side tables at the funeral home. I wanted to send some flowers to my daughter who is starting her first day of school today as fifth and sixth grade teacher at Faith Christian School in Lake Odessa Michigan. I have had horrible experiences with online florists and I decided to look and see if there was someone local that could help me. I called a couple florist shops and Sid's was the only one that answered. Probably because the other ones were not local :-) I talked with Kevin and told him exactly what I wanted and he went above and beyond my expectations, getting the arrangement done and delivered in a timely manner!!! I am extremely satisfied with the professionalism and courtesy that was shown during my phone call and in providing a service that I so greatly appreciate! What a great experience. We live in California and wanted to send our friends in Ionia a plant for the grand opening of their business. I searched around for a local florist and came upon Sid's Flower Shop. I placed an order online about 2 weeks prior to the event and didn't think anything of it. Later that day I received an email from Kevin, the owner/manager saying that the plant (money tree) that I ordered was kind of rare and he hadn't seen one in a while and he would do his best to find one for us. I called Kevin directly and talked to him about the money tree, he was super friendly and great over the phone. He asked if he could replace it with a different plant if he was unable to get the money tree. I said, of course and didn't think anything else. I called him again a few days before the event to see what plant was decided on for the event and lo and behold, he found us a money tree! He called 4 or 5 different wholesalers for us and got us exactly what we wanted for our friends. Our friends loved the money tree and we are so grateful that Kevin went above and beyond to get us what we wanted. Fantastic experience and plant! read more
