I had the pasta Bolognese. If I closed my eyes it could have been chicken noodle soup. I am not sure if they drained the water from the pasta. It was like soupy/ watery made without any care let alone passion. it was also $30 and grossly overpriced for what it was. Wow! I didn't expect this! Rosemary Chianti marinated steak tips were cooked, perfectly, tender, and delicious! Sausage penne à la vodka was delicious and perfect before training ride for the Pan mass challenge and paired with recommended wines as suggested by the server Nate. We arrived during the midst of dinner rush and our party of 5 was immediately seated, which looking back may have been a red flag when all the other restaurants in the area had a 1.5hr wait. The ambience was alright, the outside seating looked better but we took what we could get because we were famished. The wait staff were kind and attentive. The cocktail menu looked amazing and our party each tried something different, but they sounded better than they tasted. The bread for the table was cold? This may be a personal issue but I absolutely hate when bread at a restaurant isn't warmed in a bread drawer or oven, it's so simple but makes such a difference! The calamari appetizer was enormous. The calamari were alright, nothing to yell home about but they also did hit the spot. They were very bready. There was also a ton of fried peppers, if you like that sort of thing. I shared the burrata ravioli as well as the special penne alla vodka with sausage (the pizza oven was broken at this time). The burrata ravioli was surprisingly just burrata in the center with regular ravioli around it and some sort of oil sauce. The penne alla vodka and ravioli were mediocre at best. Huge portions but lacked flavor. I noticed that not one person at the table made any sort of "this is so good, do you want to try it?" remark, which is usuablly not the best sign. This restaurant is located in the Mashpee Commons, where lots of stores, eateries, and even a movie theater resides. It is an outdoor mall, so not super convenient on a rainy day or snowy day, but it is very well organized and very pretty looking. The Italian restaurant, Siena, is located right next to the movie theater. The inside was nice size, with lots of table and booth seating. They also have a full bar on the other side, with more seating around it. We went to a movie beforehand, and it is an easy walk from the theater. It only takes a minute, which is super convenient! It was not crowded when we got there, but it did bit busier while we were there. We started off our dinner with some drinks. We ordered White Sangria, which is house-made and I heard is popular. We also ordered their special drink of the day, Poinsettia Sparkler. They were both good, the sangria was a pretty good size, refreshing and fruity. We had Truffle Fries, Harvest Salad, Veal Piccata, Chicken Parmigiana, Shrimp & Spaghetti, and Cioppino. They were all tasty, not the best I've had, but they were nice. The truffle fries were really nice and addicting. Their food are a bit pricey, but then again, the amount you receive are pretty good. Our server was friendly and nice, polite and warm. We had a very nice dinner here. And if you ate too much, you can always walk around the mall after the meal and burn off some of the calories. read more

We had a wonderful evening and dinner at Siena while staying on Cape Cod. We started with a couple of their special drinks, which were very good. Our server was very friendly and helpful, and the service was quick. I had the lobster ravioli, which was good, but actually just cheese ravioli with pieces of lobster in the sauce. Like I said it was very tasty, just not what I expected from the name. Perhaps Cheese Ravioli with Lobster would be more descriptive? Others in the group enjoyed their dinners as well--including a roasted beet salad and broccoli alfredo (a special request from our vegetarian which they were happy to fulfill. read more

While the wait staff were great the food was average at best. For appetizers we had mussels and calamari. The mussels had little flavor and seemed uninspired while the calamari was fine...but i have certainly had better. Dinner was bolognese and a simple spaghetti and meatballs...i mean it doesn't get any more basic. The pasta with the bolognese was well past "al dente" and was falling apart when trying to pick it up with a fork. The spaghetti & meatballs seemed an afterthought as they were on the edge of dry with sauce that reminded me of Papa Ginos. i will say the pistachio crusted salmon was pretty good but the risotto was oddly sweet and somewhat "mushy" Dessert was fine but overall we were disappointed. This was the 2nd time we have eaten at Siena and came away feeling cheated out of a good. meal. There won't be a 3rd time...2 strikes and Siena is out. read more

Chicken Parm and some pasta dish w/mushrooms & truffle?? My wife was looking forward to chicken broccoli Alfredo come to find out they didn't have it on the menu anymore???? They offered pasta with Alfredo sauce wbrocolli on the side for & xtra charge! So ridiculous! My chicken parm was average 2 chicken Patty's w/a slice of provolone and maybe 3ounces of pasta for 27$ absolutely nothing special here folks! The chicken parm sandwich @ Burger King for 3$ is almost as good! Oh & Warm water, cold bread nothing special at all! Lachuchina in Falmouth blows that place away! A word of advice if u want to charge gourmet prices make a gourmet meal! Sorry but super disappointed! read more

Tuscan sausage pizza should be listed under white pizza on the menu. It has chunky tomato on top but it is not "tomato based". That being said I always enjoy the food and the pizza is very good. Went here with friends after wake service, before getting back on the road to head off the Cape to our home towns on the North Shore. 3 of us had the Salmon with Pistachio crust and risotto; 2 had Veal Parmigiana. We arrived at 6:25 for dinner... ordered appetizer/salad, and a pizza. The Caprese salad arrived right away, as well as the drinks, and we waited forever for the pizza. After a half an hour, our server told us it was on its way... Another 15 minutes later without anything, we asked to speak to the manager. The manager told us our pizza was in the oven and it would be there in less than 10 minutes. After another 20 minutes we finally just left... No explanation other than the pizza oven was having issues?? But that wasn't indicated to us at the time of our order or we would've ordered something different. I think an hour and 20 minutes is too long to wait for a pizza. Won't be heading back anytime soon, with all the other choices in the area. read more

Excellent food and atmosphere not the cheapest place not the most expensive but it's priced accurately its worth every penny. I tried the Brussel sprout side with garlic butter parm with goat cheese and hot honey and it was awesome excellent chicken wings and the main dish we got for lunch was shaved prime rib with pan sauce and a side of fries. Great Italian food. Always crowded but takes Open Table. I ordered a mushroom pizza to go which was a mistake. If you deviate from the menu you may not get what you want. My mushroom pizza had a few slices of portabello Mushrooms which ended up costing $20. We eat here a lot but never ordered out. I won't be doing that again! read more

This is a relatively early time for dinner but the restaurant was pretty full and relatively noisy. They have additional seating upstairs which is a little more intimate and less noisy. APPETIZERS: For starters we ordered the Crispy Brussel Sprouts, Balsamic Bruschetta, and Truffle Fries. The Brussel Sprouts were AMAZING. They tasted like they were fried in the best way, and the smooth roasted garlic aioli that came with them was great. The Bruschetta was also good, with some nice acidity from the tomatoes balancing out the sweetness of the balsamic glaze. The Truffle Fries were okay, but probably my least favorite of the appetizers. Upon request they brought us bread and olive oil mixed with garlic and parmesan for dipping which was gone in 60 seconds. MAINS: disclosure -I am italian and I frequently visit my family in Italy, so I might be a little stricter in this review than average. -I ordered the veal saltimbocca, one of my favorite dishes, and was underwhelmed. For a dish which supposedly has so many flavors involved (sage, prosciutto, smoked mozzarella, white wine) it tasted surprising bland. The pasta that it came with was overcooked. I had hoped that an italian restaurant would be able to cook an authentic al dente pasta. - Others ordered pasta entrees and had similar complaints about it being overcooked. - We ordered three pizzas (white broccoli pizza, Tuscan sausage pizza, and the eggplant pizza) and were really pleasantly surprised by them. They were all super flavorful and there was a great spread of toppings throughout the pizza. The crust was wonderful. DESSERTS: we got a dessert sampler platter and really enjoyed it. The highlights were the Chocolate Madness Cake, Florentine Orange Cake, and the Dark Chocolate Hazelnut Bark. Overall, thank you Siena for a great birthday dinner. Last week we had dinner at Siena to celebrate my wife's birthday. This was the first time we dined at this restaurant and after our experience, we encourage others to give it a try. This restaurant located in the Mashpee Commons has an incredible dining area inside but also has outdoor seating when the weather permits. The staff here is incredibly polite and attentive. The bartender Stephanie is amazing and makes some of the best drinks in town. When it comes to the food, no complaints here! We ordered calamari, the Tuscan salad as well as a meat lovers pizza. Each one of our items was perfectly prepared and the asked us if we wanted to space out the courses which I thought was thoughtful. In the end, we loved our experience with Siena and we look forward to the next time we dine here. read more

I'm a little biased here, let me be super upfront about that first. I've witnessed firsthand how much they pour back into their community and its people and to me, that makes all the difference. That's what makes Siena stand out to me first and foremost. It's the way they capture and cultivate lasting personal relationships with their customers. There is something really unique about the people that run that establishment. Now, that I've disclosed my proclamation of love for the staff, let's get to the good stuff. The food and drink. I always get the sea glass martini... I'm simply not capable of getting anything else. It's delicious and aesthetically pleasing. Double win! After you order, the waiters/waitress will bring you homemade bread with olive oil, parm cheese and chili flakes... you will lose all self control and you will ask for more. (Carb queen with zero self control here and I've been known to clear two baskets). I've had a variety of things from Caesar salad wraps to their Greek pizza to their homemade pasta, I've loved it all. I think my favorite is the baked zucchini with gnocchi in a pesto sauce! It's phenomenal and my favorite menu item lately. For all my VEGAN friends - They have a few vegan options and I've been told they have a vegan menu if you ask! I plan on tackling that menu as I'm always looking for amazing vegan options here on the cape! --More to come on that! Sat on the patio for a quick drink and some people watching in the 4th of July. Aradia was our server and she was wonderful. She wore a mask the whole time, was prompt and was friendly. We really enjoyed dinner here. It really reminded us of Home town Miami upscale, but price friendly dining. Super atmosphere either inside or out. Very friendly and professional wait staff. The food was terrific. We started by sharing the roasted artichoke hearts with a garlic aioli. This was worth the drive from Miami to cape cod itself. They were so deliciously prepared. I almost canceled my veal and would've been happy to munch on these. My wife had linguini with white clam sauce and I had veal Parmesan (a staple) both were fabulous. As a frequent foodie who has dined world wide I highly recommend this nice restaurant. I'm sure the chefs take great pride in their cooking and the servers have lovely Personalities. I went to Siena last night and had a great dinner! I want to give a shout to one of the managers, Jessica. There was a man there that gave her and his server so much trouble over a bottle of wine he took. She stayed composed and did not show if it bothered her. My spouse and I ate at Siena last evening. We've lived nearby for 40 years, so have frequented them often. Last night my wife's dish had a small crawling bug in it! That was unsettling, but what was worse was the staff's response! Neither the waiter nor the manager offered us even a simple apology! A "I'm sorry," would have been all we needed. Better yet, a complimentary dessert or the like would have been great...but nothing, even after we requested some 'consideration' on the bill. Needless to say, we won't be returning anytime soon...and won't be recommending it to our summer friends either. read more
