bought a car from Sign It Drive It. the day after we bought the car it was on a tow truck with a dead alternator. 2 months after that it was back on the tow truck as it was over heating. I we were good because we purchased through them a warranty that covered the engine and transmission. I was wrong. the warranty is crap. $250 deductible, I can swallow tha. but the warranty only covers $90 per hour and they charge $150 per hour. for a $900 repair bill I was required to pay $650 of it. so much for a warrant. worst car buying experience I have ever had. read more

When I arrived at the store we were greeted by him and sighed some paperwork. He was very nice and upbeat. He made me feel very comfortable. Then he brought out the car I wanted to tested drive. We drove it around and decided to try another car which I fell in love with. As they were doing the paperwork for the car Nate fixed me up a chocolate expresso which definitely calmed my nerves. Bought a 2018 Ram 1500 with 25k miles from here in December 2019. After about 1 week the check engine light came on for a small evap leak, the car was still under warranty so I took it to Richardson Chrysler/RAM to get it sorted. After looking into it for 3 days they game me some bad news.. They truck had been in a bad rear end collision and much of the rear end wasnt from the original truck or even the same year. The bed was from a 2016 RAM with different tailights, the tailgate was a NON OEM part from china and it didnt work because the internals were broken, the leak was coming from the gas tank and inlet connection because of the wreck, and finally the rear electrical harness is shredded. The mechanic at Richardson said that there is NO WAY that Sign It Drive It couldn't have known about this because of the obvious differences/damage underneath the car. I called sign it drive it figuring they might fix it for free or do something atleast. They claimed they had no way of knowing and its on me since I signed the AS IS agreement. They said they might offer me a discount for the work instead... The Richardson dealership helped me out a ton by covering some of the work under warranty. First off I got a feeling when I came in I probably should've trusted. Brandon was my sales man, let me make it known now not one person I talked to introduced themselves, I found out names after I got a layer involved. The ticket price on the vehicle I got was 15,000 I told them I would like the vehicle no more than a total price of 15,000 which included TTL... they said okay that's do-able especially if I put 1,000 down. I put 500 down June 17 and have them another 500 on June 23. In this one week period they refused to give me my paperwork, also I want to make it clear when I signed half of the paperwork there was nothing on the papers, they sent it through a faxer after me signing and it put all the information on the paperwork. I attempted to look at the paperwork after the finance manager did this he would not let me look at the papers. I have recorded audio and picture proof of that just from all the reviews I read before going, I wanted to be prepared before I got screwed over. They watched me get insurance (500$) told me I was approved and would get my ideal payment of less than 400$ for 72 months, which makes sense because the vehicle was only 15k. Well when I received the paperwork on June 23rd I actually got to look at it... it said the total loan amount I was paying was almost 35k and my monthly payments were almost 500. I called them almost immediately, I called the loan company as well... well when I called sign it drive it, the finance manager (Jared) told me he told me that would be the payment and if there's an issue then to bring HIS car back amongst being hostile rude and even calling me names. On July 7th I get a phone call from Manny at sign it drive it saying I wasn't approved for my loan or anything, at this point I had the car almost 3 weeks, and I asked how am I not approved when I was at the dealership I was so I was trying to understand. He then told me I have until the end of the day to have the car back or they're going to charge me all this money on my card. So whatever end of the day I bring the car back, when I come into the dealership they're practically swarming me, 5 grown men formed a circle around me asking for the keys. I told them no and to wait till my fiancé got there and to wait till I got my money back, about 20 minutes later they say they can't give me my down payment back that I have to pay for the cracked windshield, alignment, and tire balancing... I told my salesman and the finance manager about the crack in the windshield when I got it and they did not make note of it. They tried to charge almost my whole down payment for repairs... then told me i wasn't allowed to come back for my refund, that they would call the cops on me. Didn't want my business, apparently. Says you can get information online. Filled out everything online, including the blanks asking what I had for a down payment and what I wanted monthly. Got called, e-mailed and texted at 8am the next morning. They all asked "when can you come by?". I wasn't able to call back at that time, but I e-mailed and texted back asking if they were able to give me what I wanted in a down and monthly. I got a text back asking again "when can you come by?". I said I'd come by that day if they can give me the deal I want. No answer. I text again, and again I'm asked when I'll come by. I ask again for a simple yes or no. Either they want to offer me something in the numbers I want or they can't. I get the old "let me ask the manager" response, only to be told that they supposedly can't give me that information unless I come by.... an odd claim considering that every other car dealer I had also been in touch with was able to answer this same question. I was eventually told the sales manager would be calling me. They never did. When I texted back to ask why, I was told I should contact him and arrange a time to come by. All I wanted to know is if they felt they could work within my down and monthly. I had no desire to waste my time or theirs if the answer was no. They seemed more interested in me "coming by" for what I can only assume are the same reasons any other car dealership wants to get you in the door. They seemed to want me to do all the work in order for them to gain my business. They didn't. They could have sold me what I wanted that very day if I knew I'd get the deal I wanted. Instead, I did business elsewhere... and actually got an even better deal and vehicle for my exact down and monthly range. And yes, they told me they could do that after my credit pull... I didn't have to "come by". My impressions is that they are no different than any other place. The cast of characters at this used car lot are in my opinion unethical and dishonest, approving a price reduction on the car I purchased of $500 in writing via email and initialing the changes on the original contract that I initialed and sent back 5 business days later after being out of town and then NOT honoring their word!! I worked with their salesman Jeff, who has conveniently since quit working at the used car lot (no wonder I never heard anything back from him after reaching out and never got a copy of the executed contract!!). I have been in sales my whole career. If you offer or say that you are willing to do something, you stand by your word period. In addition to Sign It Drive It NOT honoring their word, there seems to be no real pride in serving their clients or delivering a good product. My car arrived with NO floor mats, RED permanent stains on the interior carpet, Air Conditioning that did not blow cold and only ONE key. I am reasonable and straight forward. I understand that when you buy a 2007 car it is not going to be perfect. I just think that when you sell a car, particularly to an out of State buyer, you disclose things honestly, then there is not a negative surprise upon delivery. If they had told me about each of the above items I would still buy the car. Just no negative surprise at the end. Everyone wants a spare key in case you misplace and I think it is understood that cars typically come with one, and floor mats are a standard staple. Fellas, be honest and let your future buyers know if there are simple items that need to be disclosed. They delivered a dirty car, as noted by the car carrier. Their dealings were sloppy and they refused to take ownership of the commitments that they made. I immediately reached out to them to discuss and work out a resolution but they were not willing. They did send $100 for floor mats, which cost me $115. Nothing for the AC, or to have a spare key made and most of all they will not honor their word on the price reduction. I would recommend that you stay away from this used car lot and look for a more reputable establishment with people that will stand by their word when you buy your next vehicle. They can respond any way they would like to this review, but I would ask if they would want their Mom, Sister or brother to have a car buying experience riddled with lack of discloser and the seller not standing by their work to reduce the price of an car. I was going to rate this place two stars until they contacted me the day after my visit. During my search for a vehicle for my sister, I found myself visiting Sign It Drive it. I started by calling to verify the vehicle was still available, I was told it was. I made an appointment that was about an hour from the phone call. I also let the sales guy know that I would like to have the vehicle inspected by an independent mechanic before purchase. The sales person took the opportunity to talk the dealer up. He told me that they weren't like all the others, etc. Little did I know how correct he was. I drive about 75 minutes to look at the vehicle and notice that it has far more wear than indicated on their ad. Additionally the sales person shares that they are still chasing a mechanical issue that week need to be resolved before the car is sold. Additional, during the test drive I discover another unknown issue. The sales guy suggest that they should be able to fix that issue. When we get back to the dealer I am told that I will have to put a non refundable deposit of $500 on the vehicle or they are going to move on to the next person who just showed up to look at the vehicle. That's right, during the time that I was actively looking at the vehicle, the sales person walked away from me, a person who: *has a check from a credit union *expressed interest in buying the vehicle today *wanted to have the car inspected by an independent mechanic. One that represented me if you will. You tell me what one they were afraid of. Come today (the next day) and I get a call saying that the vehicle is still available. I was told that they would still require a non refundable $500 deposit to be able to have the car looked at. I was assured that 3 mechanics had already looked at it and it passed their rigorous inspection process. The same process that didn't identify the issue that I did on a simple test drive. I will not make a significant purchase without having an expert review that purchase. Any place that refuses to allow you to properly evaluate your purchase is hiding something. TL:DR Even though I wasn't personally insulted, this may have been my worst experience at a used car dealer in my life. I was going to give this place a 4 star rating, but I can't anymore. I bought my car the first or second week of Dallas. A 2010 Ford Escape, which was my ideal car to have since I go to school in New Orleans. A day or two after I drive back to New Orleans with no problems. That very next morning, my car won't start. Come to find out, I had a bad battery and I had to replace it. I contacted the man who worked with me to get the car and he said he would talk to his sales manager and never talked to me again. I texted him again and no response. I'm thankful they fixed a few things on the car before I drove it off the lot, even though they did not fill the coolant like we asked. Honestly could have gotten a better review, if they would just contact me about the whole battery thing. I shouldn't spend $9000 on a car and wake up to a dead battery. (No the lights were not on because my battery was dead 2 more times until I got it changed) They are easy to work with, but once they collect they're money I feel like they don't give a damn about you. They have been extremely helpful, but the car sold to me has a lot of issues. They have stood by their product and fixed the problems but we have had continuing qualms. Certain things have left me uneasy: -They sold me a car with a patched tire - which I did not realize until my tire was leaking air and I found the patch -after giving a down payment, I was regularly called asking for more money than what we still owed. It was pretty frustrating. This happened more than once. Great customer service and willingness to work with your individual needs, but expect setbacks. They did offer loaners every time our car was broken, but in the 3/4 or so months we've owned the car, it's been in their shop about 1.5. of them. read more

STAY AWAY!!!! I cant stress this enough. I recently purchase a truck from SIGNITDRIVEIT, bought the service contract and all "warranty" exactly 30 days ago, July 20th, 2019. Within 30 days the air conditioning is completely dead and the lifters are ticking on the engine. Keep in mind my 1st payment isn't even due yet and I am already having to deal with all this BS. Here we are in the middle of August in Texas and I'm having AC issues on a truck I just bought. I've got a family of 6 and its 100 degrees outside, this is ridiculous. On top of that SIGNITDRIVEIT will not provide me with a loaner vehicle from the dealership because "they were having problems with people wrecking their loaners" which leads me to believe that their vehicles being in for service immediately after purchase is an ongoing issue. They recommended for me to secure a rental vehicle while the truck is in the shop, out of my pocket, and now I have to fucking uber home. They couldn't even offer me a ride home. They've got 15 pages of vehicle inventory on their website but not one of those cars could be fired up to give me a ride home even though I am here because they sold me a faulty ride... Unfortunately I live an hour away so we are looking at $57.00 uber home, on top of the rental I have to pay for and whatever their BS warranty isn't going to cover, like air conditioning. The guys in the shop are beyond professional and understand my frustration with this situation and this "warranty/Service contract". Ironically I'm writing this review as I sit in their service center waiting room and wait for my fucking uber! read more

First off, it's used cars. You're not getting a brand new vehicle, so don't expect one. I drove two hours to check out a car for my soon to be driving kiddo, and it was better than I expected. I took a scanner with me, along with a detailed checklist, a flashlight, and a magnet. I gave this car the best inspection I could, and never once felt like I had any pressure to finish up. Denzel was awesome. He was right there with me to answer questions, he offered us plenty of water since we were out in the heat, and had the car cleaned and gassed up while we were in financing. We showed up with our pre-qualified offer, so we were in and out of there in NO time. That in itself is unusual in the car buying process. I really can't say enough good things about this place. What a disorganized mess!!! My experience with these guys was awful. I went to buy a car for my 16 year old daughter to surprise her for her birthday. I live 2hours away... My husband called to ask them to hold a particular vehicle for us til I got there... I raced.... when I got there they said they were in the process of selling that vehicle to someone else.... REALLY!!??? NEEDLESS TO SAY I WAS NOT HAPPY!!! So they went ahead and let me test drive the vehicle since the sale was looking like it wasn't going to go through. It took a day shy of a whole week for them to get this deal going...... plus the car still had the service light on, as well as needed to hace the radiator checked since it was spitting out fluid. (Should be known then it wasn't meant to be) There was absolutely no communication between the staff.... and push come to shove we ended up going with a differnt dealer that sold us a car for only a couple hundred more than the one we wanted at Sign It and they for us with a WAY less interest rate and approved in less than an hour. I purchased a 2014 Nissan pathfinder, I was told in detail ( as well as driven to the service center on our test drive) about how throughly they inspect their vehicles, their warranty ( is garbage costs $125 for a "diagnostic fee") I've already had to shell out $800+ for this "diagnostic fee" and brakes (so much for a through inspection) and now I just had to pay $7000.00 for a transmission control unit AND to have my transmission rebuilt!!!! Not to mention that I had to pay $1200 for a rental car while my car is in the shop.. This car lot is dishonest!!! The first vehicle I got from them (and returned) had numerous problems, like the brake master cylinder, and it would randomly shut down!!! They blamed it on a "cold start issue" saying that the vehicle had no trouble codes. After paying the $125 "diagnostic fee" four times!!! And being told 3 of the 4 times, that there was no issue that they could find. The transmission shop stated that the transmission issue has been ongoing for a long time!!! I still have a $14,000.00 car note to pay!!! On a lemon that obviously wasn't "thoroughly" checked out. This is asinine. This place should be checked out by consumer affairs!!! And shut down. And since then I've had the car for almost a year, and it's on its 4th rebuilt transmission. Screw this place, and these crooks!!!!! They raised the price by 1150 dollars hoping I can't do math. When I called them out on it they said the difference was gap insurance. Very unhappy with my experience. I spoke with a salesman on the phone over a timespan of a week & a half about a Ford Explorer Sport Trac I found online. Once I made arrangements with the salesman to meet him between 8:30 & 9, I drove 40 miles first thing the next morning. I arrived at 8:38 & had to wait until 9 when the salesman arrived. We filled out some paperwork & then went for a road test. The gas tank was below E. We had to stop so the salesman could put $2 in the tank. We drove to their shop where I spoke with a mechanic about the truck. Then we drove back to the dealership to talk with the sales manager about pricing. I sat down & went over the issues I had found with the truck. I told the sales manager I noticed by the service sticker it had been sitting on their lot for 6 months. He says "you know why, right?" I said "I guess because it's a niche market." He says "no, the vehicle has been totalled. It has a salvage title. This has to be a cash deal, no financing. Didn't you know that?" Um... No, I didn't know that. I spoke with a salesman for the last week & a half and that was never disclosed to me. The sales manager got up to go get the Carfax report & the salesman came back. "You didn't tell me this was a salvage title" I said. To which he replied "I didn't know..." The sales manager came back & showed me the Carfax report. He said it might have been totalled for hail damage, he wasn't clear. I looked at the report & it clearly said front end accident. I told him I was very frustrated with how this was going down. I offered him a cash out the door offer & he said "no, we can't do that." So I shook his hand, said thanks & walked out the door. Very upset that the salvage title was never disclosed to me before driving all the way up there. read more

Do NOT buy a car from Sign it Drive it. I initially gave a 5 star review because the initial dealing was awesome and quick and to the point. The longest process was waiting for the paperwork to be drawn up once we decided to go with the Truck that my son wanted but that's to be expected. I co-signed for my son and he is a student at UNT and lives in Denton, I live in Arlington. The initial credit application I completed online listed him as the Primary with him living in Denton, me as the Co-signer living in Arlington. The agreement Sign it Drive it turned in to Capital One, the finance company that funded the loan merged our addresses as part Denton and part Arlington and structured the loan as if we lived together, which we do not. The issue started when the original salesman, Brandon Greer, sent my son and I an email on 10/2/2018 stating "I'm sorry to inform you that the bank has rejected the auto loan based on co-signer not being at the same address as the primary driver (500 S IH35 East #928, Denton, TX 76017) . So the dealership needs the vehicle back." Problem one, the zip code is not correct. The Denton zip code is 76205 not 76017 so I figured this would be an easy fix. Call the dealership, talk to Brandon and let him know the address is incorrect and again, we do not live together. Brandon put in touch with Alberto, Finance Manager. Alberto told me that the lender, Capital One, declined the loan due to addresses, which made perfect sense as the addresses were merged to include the Denton address with an Arlington zip code and the loan was structured as we live together, which we do not. I then called Capital One 4 times between 10/2 and 10/3. Simple fix, Sign it Drive it structured the loan incorrectly as we lived in the same address and to correct and get the loan funded properly, they either need to re-submit, with the corrected addresses or simply call and correct the issue. I then spoke back to Alberto and told him what Capital One advised. Alberto response was "What's the big deal, they did not fund the loan so bring the truck back." I said to Alberto, "Surely you are not going to lose this deal and refund the down payment over addresses". They lost the deal and refund the down payment. They were not willing to correct THEIR error. Needless to say, we did indeed get another truck, same day and the experience was wonderful! read more

Extremely untrustworthy business. Unprofessional and claim to be unaware of their pricing. Two visits, due to a battery not working and unable to test drive after waiting an hour and a half. They did not have their stuff together. The owner needs new employees. This business wants you to finance with THEM for their listed price which is not printed on any of the ads. When you inform them you have financing with your credit union they increase the price (price gouge) of the vehicle by $5,000 dollars and say it's $12,000 vehicle. I bought a used car from here that apparently went through what they call a "100 point inspection" but it overheated on the way home because it was completely out of radiator fluid. Don't know what qualifies as a 100 point inspection to them but it definitely isn't up to anyone else's standard. I was willing to pay the absorbent price they offered because they claim to take care of their vehicles but that is a lie. Salesmen are pushy and unnaturally friendly, but I get it - they want to make money. They said they make bonuses from google reviews and a guy who didn't even help me gave me his card so I could review him. Overly greedy salesmen and poor quality cars. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!! PLEASE DONT NOT PURCHASE A USED CAR HERE!!!! I purchased a 2008 GMC ARCADIA from this place in June 2019 for my wife"s Birthday. She needed a A to B car to commute 5miles to and from work. I paid $8400 in cash for the vehicle and got a 1yr extended warranty. By September the car was having issues. We had the car towed to Sign it Drive it repair center where they told us it would be $2300 to fix the laundry list of issues. I asked what about the warranty the advised the warranty did not cover ANY of the repairs. And I should have expected to repair a used car. NOW Im new to Texas and didnt realized that there AREN'T any used car lemon laws. AND these DEALERS are able to SELL you a piece of JUNK without being held responsible. I have purchased at least 10 used cars in my lifetime and know that sometimes you have to spend a few $$$ for minor repairs. BUT WTF!!!! SO fast forward I had the car repaired at another repair shop for less $$. One month later the car lost total power and I had it towed to GMC. GMC told me the car had some many Major issues and it would catch fire if it wasnt fixed immediately. The repairs would cost $5000. When you spend your hard earned money there should be some sort of recourse and accountability. I will contacting my attorney. This is GRAND THEFT!!! read more

After a week of asking that they help take care of their vehicle that I just bought, they offered me a laughable $500 credit towards an engine swap that they said would cost them $5400.00, keep in mind that I only drove it 250 miles! I even offered to pay half if they would just please help me. The next phone call I got was this "where do you want us to tow your Suburban" and not to get it repaired but to get it off their lot! I never even got an apology......Don't know how they sleep at night! BTW I ended up taking it to my mechanic for a re-manufactured engine and its costing me $4000.00 which is still a huge hit to my wallet but cheaper than their rip off services!!
