They seemed to disappear since they moved, but I just found their website, and it's so much better than it used to be. I'll admit, in the old days, I loved all the campy propaganda stuff....the little Red Book, the peasant posters etc., but they've updated themselves. I just found all these cool Chinese comic books (did you know that there were comics in China--I didn't!) and they still have those cool posters. Apparently they don't have a store anymore, just the website.

I've used their gift wrap single sheets to cover a very worn box (lid and bottom) which I disappointingly cannot find a replacement for the dimensions as equal in depth. Their gift wrap single sheets also make a nice decor cover to a plain folder to express my free-spirit CHARMED personality. My favorite was their stamp collecting line which has sadly discontinued, the existing travel line and Parisian line. I immensely enjoy their products particularly their gift wrap single sheets. Where there is creativity stems talent where one can personalize a custom gift taken straight from the heart!

But this book store had a very large selection of kids books, comic books, some card and other games. I like to buy my boys books! I enjoy reading to them and them reading period. As some one who could not read at all, and didn't even get found out until the third grade, I think reading is essential. I struggled with dyslexia as a young man and still do today... I feel it is very important for everyone to read as much as they can! You have no idea what it was like when I could read! You don't know what you're missing until you experience not being able to read! I can't wait to give them these books tomorrow.

But you can find those elsewhere. District Market is great in all the other things it also has. Books, chargers, headphones, things to amuse your children on the flight, clothes (not just the souvenir ones), luggage, bags, travel toiletries, a small cosmetics section and even some wine. And, the stars for me: See's Candies and Ghirardelli chocolates. The two local specialty gifts I bring to people when I fly out of SFO. I tend to forget to grab gifts, or maybe another person is added to my itinerary at the last minute. District Market has saved me many times regarding last minute gifts. The store is located right by the main food court in the terminal, and next to the restrooms. Self checkout kiosks galore in the store. Like most airport stores, it's very lightly staffed but easy enough to find what you need by the clearly marked sections of the store.
