The deli cooler, full of everything I like.
    Rick L.

The food was great. I bought a pound of gyro meat, the garlic yogurt cuke sauce, couple packs of pita bread. Tabbouleh, some pasta salad thing, large package of meat grape leaves. Red pepper hummus, and lentil salad. All the large size. I really liked it after I got it home heated it up, threw on some lettuce tomato and thin slices of onion. Heated the pita over a perfectly oiled pan. And proceeded to eat. The wife agrees. Really really great. A place like this deserves a five. It was outstanding in every way. I only wish they cooked whole lamb on a spit. I would be there at least twice a week if they had roasted lamb. But, you take what you can get in youngstown. And in this case, I took quite a bit. I have enough food to feed a hungry family and a bit more, for less than 50 bucks. Keep in mind, you could drop the price to less than 20 by buying two packages of pita bread and s pound of the lamb gyro meat mixture. And then making the yogurt garlic cucumber myself. And I always have a pretty good stock of lettuce onion and tomatoes. (ALWAYS SHOP FOR PRODUCE AT RULLI BROTHERS!!!) I highly recommend this place. And just to answer the previous person commenting about the figs. Google "fig wasps". Figs depend on teeny tiny wasps for pollination. So, I have no problem with that. Cute teeny tiny little wasps. Hope that makes you feel better. Since Americans prefer to only eat food that is cute. Think of the cute little wasp. And, avoid figs 100% if the thought of fig wasps may be an issue for you. Seriously, don't even think of fig newtons.

This place is incredible and the people who work here are so friendly! We went to Silva's for lunch everyday that we were in the Youngstown area and it was just delicious. Do yourself a favor and get a chicken wrap with a side of the ful mudammas. We also tried the tabbouli, which was great. You really can't go wrong with anything they have. Next time I'm in Ohio I'll be back!

    Jiselle await!

Divert off the toll road!! Must stop. The gyro was the best ever! Ever! Humus was like I have never had before and I make my own. So flavorful! Kibble with beef was perfection. Recommend you split everything so you can try everything. Znoud el sit (lady's arm) is pudding filled FILO that you will swear is cheese. This plAce just delights the palate.

We've ordered takeout from this little Syrian spot in Niles at least ten times now. And I don't say…read morethis lightly...there has never been an off day. Not once. The consistency alone is enough to keep us coming back, but the food itself? It's something special. Let me start with the hummus. I don't even know how to say this without sounding dramatic, but it's hands down the best hummus we've ever had. It's unbelievably smooth, rich, and somehow manages to go with everything. And yes...I'm going to say it...dip your fries in it. Trust me on that one. And order the large size hummus to take home with you. The rice deserves its own moment too. Perfectly cooked, just the right amount of richness. I'm not sure if it's butter or oil or some magic in between, but whatever they're doing, it works. It's the kind of rice you keep eating even when you're full. We usually go for the chicken over rice, which comes with peppers and onions, and it's always flavorful, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. This is not bland food. Everything has depth. We've also had the three-meat combo (lamb, chicken, and beef), and every single piece is tender and cooked just right. It all comes together with that incredible red sauce and the garlic sauce...which I always order extra because I refuse to run out halfway through the meal. Add in the pita for the hummus, and it's just one of those meals you look forward to the entire drive home. And speaking of the drive...we will happily go 35-40 minutes out of our way just to pick this up. That should tell you everything. On top of all that, it's a family-owned place, and you can feel it. Customer service is warm and thoughtful. You'll often see the husband and wife there, sometimes their kids, and I believe his mother is in the kitchen and honestly, it shows. There's something about the food that feels cared for, not just made. We've tried a few different things on the menu and everything has been great, but the dishes I mentioned are what keep calling us back. Highly, highly recommend!!

Food was avg not fantastic and definitely not enough to bring me back for more, especially with the store conditions and some kids playing on the food counter. I just didn't get a good feeling.

Now, stop imagining, because Krakus Polish Deli & Market in Boardman, Ohio, is that magical land, and it is the holy grail of pierogies, kielbasa, and all things Polish food-related. If you haven't been yet, your taste buds are straight-up missing out. First of all, let's talk pierogies, these little pockets of heaven are to die for. Like, not even exaggerating. I tried the classic cheese and potato ones, and I'm pretty sure I saw a light flash before my eyes. Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, these pierogies are so good they should be illegal. But wait--there's more! They do weekly pierogi specials, and trust me, each week is a new flavor adventure you won't want to miss. The cabbage roll; Heavenly. The sausages... Let me tell you, if there's a better kielbasa on the planet, I don't know it. The market is like a treasure chest of authentic Polish foods, we're talking everything my Polish grandfather used to keep stashed around the house, like sauerkraut pickle jars (which I'm 100% sure he got directly from the motherland), obscure teas, crunchy wafers, and probably some mysterious cured meats you didn't even know you needed in your life. And then there's the prices. I don't know how they're doing it, but you could feed an entire village of hungry Babcias (grandmas) on a budget here. Incredible value, folks. But--here's the catch--the hours are... um, "quirky." Like, if you're planning to roll up for a late-night pierogi binge, you might want to double-check their hours because they close early. It's kind of like they really want you to enjoy the pierogies, but on their schedule. So, don't be that guy who rolls in at 7:15 pm and finds the door locked. Trust me, I've been that guy. So, check the hours, make sure you're ready to dive headfirst into some of the best Polish food you'll ever eat, and prepare to have your mind--and stomach--blown. Krakus is like stepping into your Polish grandma's kitchen, if your grandma was a magical food wizard who had a secret stash of pierogies she didn't share with anyone. GO HERE. Seriously. If I could give this place 6 stars, I would.
