The road is dirt as you approach here; albeit relatively well-maintained. I came for the trails; the nature center is open intermittently and was not what I was looking for. The trails are open as long as it's light outside.
I was a bit disappointed with the level of maintenance on the trail I used. The signage was enough to keep one on the path, but it was quite overgrown and I was amazed that I didn't come out of it with more insect and arachnid problems than I did. It is some nice-looking forest, and was punctuated by a small boardwalk leading out into a little blackwater swamp.
I didn't actually see the bluff itself; that was a bit too long of a trail for the amount of daylight I had. Perhaps there is more to be seen. It is free, but it wasn't quite the experience I was hoping for. read more
