Smash Burger (gluten free bun, added fried egg)
Jennifer G.

Quick Snap: I love the enjoying the retro vibe of Silver Diner. I go for the excellent cuisine. Customer Service has been amazing each of the three times I was there. I've been able to enjoy the new Silver Diner of Fredericksburg 3 times. Twice with my husband for brunch and once with a friend after a late movie. I've tried the gluten free BLT and the "Smash-burger". Both were extremely tasty. I even ordered the smash-burger twice. But my favorite item from the Silver Diner menu is their hot chocolate. It's warm, rich and feels like a hug. I can highly suggest this farm to table, local chain and I can especially recommend this location. The managers are artists it shows in the quality of the food and also the great attitudes of the staff. Bravo!

I was excited last night for the chance to go to Silver Diner. I grew up loving the old diners up North--the stainless steel that shined like a freshly waxed Airstream, the booths you could disappear in, and enough gleaming glass to make you feel like you were eating inside a jukebox. I remember the flavors from the diners along Highway 1 and 301 as my family made that long haul between Rhode Island and South Carolina. Those places could fry a piece of fish so good you'd slap your mama and ask for seconds. So naturally, I thought that's what I was getting as we walked in the door. We were met with a smile and seated fast. Everything looked clean and bright. Our server appeared in about three seconds--so quick I thought maybe he'd been sitting in the booth behind us waiting for his cue. Drinks were ordered and life was good. The bride ordered fish and chips with a side salad--Thousand Island on the side. When the food arrived, the dressing didn't. Our server said he didn't hear her ask for it. I ordered a hamburger and onion rings. I got a hamburger and fries. He said he didn't hear me either. Now look... I wear two hearing aids and tend to talk like I'm hollering instructions across a construction site. If I order onion rings, most people on the next block know about it. But somehow, the one man who needed to hear it did not. The burger was just okay. The fries tasted slightly better than McDonald's but looked like they'd been studying under them. The bride's fish was so over-breaded and stiff that I wasn't sure if she should eat it or shingle the roof with it. It had that "kept warm for a couple of hours" crunch that no one in the history of fried fish has ever asked for. Ahhh well. You can never go home. But you can go to Silver Diner--once

First time we have been here.. always packed on weekends! KAIT was our server and a great personality, and I always had a smile. She even had time for a small conversation. Our food was ordered precisely delivered. It was nice and hot even up till the ice cream on the apple pie.. the bathroom was very clean. There was a lady who was cleaning the table tables always smiling, clean the tables right away didn't leave anything behind, even wiped down the benches.. We will definitely be back

Another amazing Experience! Had my same waitress from 3 weeks ago and she remains a 10 out Of 10! Bailey took care of us and treats us and all of her customers like family. And my Belgium waffles with soft whipped butter...mmmm superb!!

Kendyll was amazing. Super attentive, great with recommendations, and was willing to work with my picky(snobby) palate. Then, they brought us out chocolate and strawberries as well as our pie for dessert. They were celebrating our 7th wedding anniversary with us. The staff were kind, sweet, and just overall welcoming. Will go again numerous times. I love the ambiance so much. A little more sophisticated on the food without being hard to approach.

Fairly new Silver Diner to this area and expect it'll improve as more ppl gain experience. Service wasn't bad and the food was good. Average experience but not at the level that the other 3 I've visited in NoVA/MD. The manager for one announced to his staff that member was a no call - no show (fair) and proceeded w you know what happens to their job. While not a bad message to communicate but not infront of customers as he was at the bar area making the statement. Then there were a couple of servers who decided it a good idea to eat food a customer returned at the bar area. Again, why waste food but maybe this isn't something you do in front of customers. Probably a bunch of new people to food industry and maybe their staffing model is "hire who we can until we can hire who we want" I like Silver Diner and glad they are here but the professionalism and service will need to increase for me to continue to patronize. Especially because I've heard First Watch is coming.

They did a phenomenal job creating such a magical atmosphere--I honestly wish they could keep the decorations up all year . While waiting for our table, we grabbed seats at the bar and ordered cocktails. I had the prickly pear margarita, and she ordered a cider sour. Both were fantastic, though I wish the bar had mentioned the holiday cocktail menu earlier. I didn't learn about the festive drinks until we were seated and our server, Lindsay, walked us through the winter specials. The "Sweater Weather" cocktail sounded amazing (white tequila and coconut milk ) and is definitely something I'll be back to try. We stuck with our go-to appetizer, the goat cheese bruschetta, which was delicious as always. For entrées, we went classic brunch: the hangover burger and the shrimp and grits. My girlfriend loved her burger, and Sedona's shrimp and grits remain one of my absolute favorites--perfectly seasoned and cooked. Even though we were full, we couldn't pass up the seasonal dessert, tiramisu. It was the perfect size--just enough to share without pushing us over the edge. Lol. Another successful meal at Sedona! The service is consistently top-notch, and our server Lindsay was hands down the best--knowledgeable, attentive, and with an amazing personality. We loved her so much, we wished she could've joined us for brunch. The manager also stopped by a couple of times to check on us, which we really appreciated. If you haven't experienced Sedona yet, you are seriously missing out. And definitely ask to sit in Lindsay's section!

First, let's start off with the wait. I'm used to waiting for a table at Sedona especially on a Saturday, but today the wait was extra long. Once we sat and ordered appetizers it took over 40 minutes to get our apps. To make matters worse our nachos came out with the cheese not even melted and with barely any protein. Seeing as this was not the first time I ordered nachos I was extremely upset. To address the issue I had to leave my outside table and walk inside to the hostess to see if they could locate my server as she never came and checked on us. We didn't see her for over 50 minutes :-/ The only star of today's lunch were the Thai glazed wings. My husband ordered the land and sea and steak was overcooked. My devils pass pasta was okay, but extremely greasy. The manager did stop by to offer something for the nacho issue which we appreciated. Sedona you need to work on hiring more staff to make things run smoothly. You seem to be understaffed in the kitchen and on the floor. We left feeling extremely disappointed and will not be returning for a long time. Also forgot to add that the strawberry tres leches cake is extremely dense and flavorless. Did not enjoy and do not recommend.

The sandwich definitely hit all the notes for comfort food: buttery sourdough bread, gooey cheese, and some added flavor from the onions. Given how milky burrata is, I think more onions or some added herbs could have punched up the flavor a bit, but overall I liked the sandwich a lot. The fries were very good as well, but again, could have used a bit more of the seasoning for which they were named. My lunch companion got the Chinese Chicken Salad, which he like as well, though he commented that it was a little on the dry side and could have used more dressing. (Perhaps the kitchen staff working our lunch had a light hand in general?) My small critiques are just that, though: small. It was a very nice meal in a charming space, and I suspect we'll make a point to eat there again on our next visit to the area.

We were seated right away on their patio, which was very cozy with heaters and fire pits. The menu sounded great and they had a lot of featured brunch items that were a little fancier. I went with the sausage, egg, and cheese on English muffin with a side of cheesy grits. Our food came out pretty quickly, but one of the sandwiches was wrong, which they fixed right away. The sandwich was basic but tasty, and adding hot sauce made it even better. I loved the cheesy grits - they were more coarse than other grits I've had but I still really liked them. I had a few bites of Nate's sandwich, the New Jersey sunrise (Taylor ham, home fries, two fried eggs and American cheese), which was very hearty and tasty. Service was decent, they were pretty busy so we did have to ask for a few things, but we had a nice time. I'm putting this spot on my list of places to revisit when we're back in the area.

I ordered the London Fog Sour, the classic crab dip, and the birria eggrolls. The London Fog Sour might honestly be one of my favorite cocktails I've had downtown--I loved it so much I ordered a second one. I'll be going back just for that drink. The crab dip was its usual reliable, delicious self, and the birria eggrolls were flavorful and packed with meat. Our server was fantastic and helped us decide which small plates to try. The brunch items we got were all amazing! Their sausage gravy is made with chorizo, which adds a very nice, smokey touch to the typical biscuits and gravy and it came out with a pair of perfectly poached eggs. Their burger was beautiful and perfectly made and the beef was a very tasty, nice blend. The buns was incredible! Their fried chicken sandwich was excellent as well. Great batter, tender and moist chicken, and the toppings were great too. French fries were piping hot and flavorful too. So, the food was great, but the service was amiss. Would we return? Most definitely! I just mark up these services issues to having freshly opened for the day and maybe being a little short staffed. Hopefully the next visit would hit on all cylinders.

After…read moremeeting a manager a separate night, and after hearing good things about their burgers, we finally stopped in for Sunday lunch with the family. Service: The first impression was a little mixed. The hostess wasn't very welcoming when we asked about a booth for our family of five (two adults and three younger kids) and didn't seem open to exploring the option. Thankfully, our server, DeQuandre (Deq?), completely turned that around. He was friendly, attentive, and offered great recommendations. We appreciated his visits as he was energetic and very hospitable, highly recommend asking for him when you visit. Food: We started with the buffalo dip. It comes with chips, but Deq was awesome and add some pita, which was a great call. The pita was slightly crisped (almost lightly fried) but still soft inside and paired perfectly with the dip, which had great flavor and good chunks of chicken. For burgers, we ordered the Spicy Wrangler (March 2026 Burger of the Month) and the Whiskey Burger. The Wrangler had a lot going on but the flavors worked well together. The Whiskey Burger was delicious, the sauce was a bit sweeter than I usually prefer, but the bacon was excellent. Only critique would be the burgers were slightly underdone even for medium, but still enjoyable. The onion rings were a standout, though the breading-to-onion ratio leaned a little heavy. The fries were decent but nothing particularly great about them. Atmosphere: Casual and open, but fairly loud. Even though it wasn't very busy for a Sunday lunch, the music and bar noise made it a little difficult at times to hear others at our table. I wouldn't consider this a date night type atmosphere, more casual open dining. Drinks: Solid beer selection with enough variety for most tastes, plus a small cocktail menu and a selection of wines. Overall: Harry's Downtown is a solid spot for a casual lunch or dinner. If you're in the mood for a good burger, or consider yourself a bit of a burger enthusiast, it's definitely worth checking out. This visit was positive enough to plan another visit to explore other delicious sounding menu items. We'll definitely be requesting Deq when we return! Thank you!
