I've been going to Press now for 5 years, and it really gives you the feeling of a remote fly-in…read morelake, without flying...Now, I'm not going to say it's easy to get to...north of Ignace, you do have a 10-12 mile gravel, bumpy road to take that leads you to paradise..where in the remote northwoods can you have electricity, running water, showers, microwaves...even internet access if needed. The cabins are clean and well equipped, the boats and motors if you're renting are always reliable and in great shape. The owners go out of their way to make everything they have control over, perfect for you...Now I say control over, since they can't control the fishing or the weather and both can be unpredictable up there. But fish, northern, smallmouth and walleyes can always be caught somewhere on the lake. And the lake has so many islands and bays there's always someplace to tuck in out of the wind if it really gets to blowing. The lake has decent numbers and decent quality fish. 100 fish days per boat can happen..typically, for our group 18-25 nice fish per day, per person. Always enough for a good shore lunch, and so many beautiful spots to pull up to, build a fire, and enjoy fresh caught walleye lunch.Over the years I have done many fly-in trips, drive in trips, boat in trips...but it's tough to beat Press Lake Camp. It gives you great value, great fishing, and great resort owners...tight lines

In past years we would have rolled a couple hundred more kilometers under us, but this year we rolled with a 9 month old so we took 9 days to get from Montreal to Winnipeg and saw some campgrounds we might never have gotten to explore otherwise. Thanks kid! White Lake is lovely! We meandered along a tiny secret-feeling path and staircase to a sandy beach, and got to enjoy some of the cleanest bathrooms we had the pleasure of utilizing on our trip. The sites are big and private with amazing old trees, and super breezy thanks to the proximity to the lake, so this was basically just our second stop since Montreal where we felt like we could take a breath outside without dying of blood loss (second after Pancake Bay which benefits from the great lake winds. The mosquitos in this part of the world at the time of year are the stuff of horror movies.) There were folks camping here from all over because the fishing in this area is reportedly well known. The lake allows motorboats, so it wasn't as incredibly clean feeling as some others, but definitely huge and wild. The water was warm compared to Lake Superieur, and booking our spot online was fairly quick and easy. Another wonderful experience in the Parks!

Anyone looking for a great walleye fishing experience should look at this camp. Was there two…read moreweeks ago and had another great time. Caught 30 walleye on slowest day and in the area of 100 walleye on several days. Their website gives plenty of details on the camp and operation. What it doesn't tell you is the level of service they provide when you have a medical/dental problem. The camp is approximately an hour boat ride to the nearest roadway. A couple years ago my brother had an abscess tooth. They contacted the nearest dentist and got him there in 1 day to get it treated. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to catch lots of fish (walleye, pike and small mouth bass).

I ate too many meals here surrounded by mice turds. Dirty and not cleaned for what looks like years. sauce caked and dried on the table, dirt/trash on the floor. Not a pretty sight upon arrival. one big room with multiple dirty stained foam mattresses to choose from. A huge stack of fetish porn was also found here, hooray! The place is falling apart, my friends foot fell through the deck. The propane fridge did not work = rotten food for days, we would have brought ice if we would have known/ been told. The propane stove leaked steady so it always smelled in the cabin and we were told to leave a window open or door cracked (nice!) The boat motor was super touchy, took over half an hour to start up the first day as well as the boat was leaky. The shower looked like it had never been cleaned or was from a murder movie, atleast 10 empty travel bottles of shampoo, soggy soap bars, razors from old geusts and dirty wet towels on the floor. It was disgusting but i needed a shower so I had to clean the place up before hand in order to not catch hepatitis. I cringe when I think about cleaning that shower. Horrible cabin, youre better off brining a tent and sleeping bag and camping on the property to avoid this place. The Lake is Good for fishing so its worth the trip but the cabin is just brutal.
