    Area for younger kids
    Josephine F.

This park is great for all ages! There's a good sized bigger kids playground area that has some pretty cool stuff. There's also a separate gated playground area for younger kids 2-5 years old. I actually bring my one year old to that section and it's nice because it even has an activity area that is prewalkers friendly. The park has shade and ample parking. There are picnic tables and I saw at least one grill, so you could come with a group and easily have a good amount of space as there's also a large grassy area.

Park needs to get this fixed ASAP! Submitted a form already!

Not sure how long this Broken dome Is but this is very unsafe for little ones playing. My son happen to put his head through and the edges are sharp! His head got stuck too. The park is nice but no public restroom unfortunately

This park has the cutest dinosaur themed structures! I also love that there is a designated area for 2-5 year olds. My son loved the slide with rolling pins. In the center of the two yards is a free littles library book exchange. We went on a hot day and there are quite a few tall trees providing shade over the play area so that you don't overheat.

Nice park but has no restrooms that's all I wish it had. Plus lots off bbq grills but where to you wash your hands .. lol

Clean park. Lots of play structures for the kids. The only down side is no restrooms for when the kids need to do their business.

Silver Leaf Park (SLP) is a copacetic ±5.8-acre park that's located deep in a South San José neighborhood, just north of Coyote Valley. This is a fairly nice park, that's pretty popular with the local kids. I spent a bit of time here for work purposes, and became quite familiar with SLP. Here's the scoop: -×1 Half Basketball court -Non-reservable picnic tables with BBQ pits -Antiquated Playground and Tot Lot--that will soon be receiving an upgrade! -Street Parking only -Huge grassy fields, that are in fairly good shape. -NO restrooms The no restrooms is quite strange for a park this size, but the neighbors prefer it that way--due to the large population of upstanding citizens that frequent the area by the local Walmart. I very rarely give a park with no restrooms anything above 2-stars, but in this case I'll make an exception. So in summation: nice park, nice people, but bring a Gatorade bottle.

Lovely, green little park with picnic tables. There are no bathrooms, so plan accordingly!

What kind of park has a zipline?!? THIS ONE. Two seating options, one with a harness for toddlers,…read morethe other for older kids (I even saw adults using this). The park also offers a fun and inclusive space for children, with climbing structures, sturdy cement slides, swings for both toddlers and older youth, a see-saw, merry-go-round, trampoline, and spongy material making up the ground's surface. The occasional squirrel, lizard, and butterfly too. As an adult simply looking for a place to relax while waiting for my car at an auto shop nearby, I was pleasantly surprised to find this park accommodating. Dirt and concrete trails weaving through the garden, lovely vegetation in spring, and a good amount of picnic tables and benches scattered throughout. Also, a shady area with fake grass and seats made out of smoothed-out logs and tree trunks, as well as adirondack chairs where I was able to hang out and nap while I was there. It wasn't too crowded or crazy on a Friday morning, though it got busier as it neared noon time. In addition, the place offers a parking lot and clean restrooms for convenience.

The play garden has everything kiddos love -- slides, one seesaw, one round spinner, one rope climbing thing (that can also spin), swings (bucket and standard), small water play area, and a Zipline (one for little kids 3+ and one for older kids). They also have an area with tables, where someone was having a party (no idea if reservations are needed though). Expect to wait in line for a turn of the park is crowded. The play garden is fenced off from the rest of the park. They have a restroom on site. They have a small parking lot that is nearby the entrance of the play garden. I noticed some people parked on a smaller side street and walked over. I'm not sure what other parking options there are otherwise. We would return if we're in the area again and if it's less busy. It's a solid park and play area for those who live nearby.

Such a fun, spacious, and beautiful park!…read more I stumbled across this gem due to being in the nearby area. It just so happened to be right after Easter weekend and the plentiful garbage bins were 100% overflowing. With that said, the parks still came off quite tidy. Park visitors clearly made the effort to throw things away in appropriate areas and overflowed garbage bags were placed right along the bathroom building. City workers stopped by shortly after and BAM!! Everything was cleared and cleaned. Doerr Park comes recommended for children of all ages. There is a kiddy area and a more advanced play structure for the older kids in your life. The structure provides a lot of American Ninja Warrior vibes as opposed to your basic swing set and slide. 5/5 stars. This park is so bomb!!!

The playground is divided by a smaller playground for the little kids and a larger playground for the bigger kids. The kids I take care of love to come here and climb and go down the slides. They prefer this park over the one by their house in Willow Glen. The restrooms are decent. There's always toilet paper, soap and paper towels. There's lots of picnic tables--some covered, some not. There's lots of nice walking/biking paths around the park. There are also tennis courts which people are always using for pickleball. Also basketball courts. Tons of grassy fields to run around. There isn't a parking lot for this park but plenty of street parking.
