No full length review here just some pointers if you're trying out for the first time. -Value for money for sure. -First timers get a combo with rice ,meat and veggie -Lots of veggie and meat curries -Average biryani -Not bad finger foods.Pretty average samosas chicken patties are good-chicken lolipop here is pretty good. -Kheer is really good. They keep mango lassi but I have never tried it. -They also have a desi Hakka Chinese though it's limited to rice, noodles and one or two Chinese curries. -They do have lahori fish which is pretty good. -They do keep halwa puri. -Do check their daily specials on their website Over all due to the high turnover their food is pretty fresh compared to other same concept restaurants.Overall flavors are a 7/10. Lots of parking outside. They do take debit/credit. read more

I haven't had much from here, a few kabobs and fried items that weren't spectacular... but the nihari is just ultra comfort food. I'm not into nihari at all since it's often oily, too liquidy, and unnecessarily spicy. This was perfect blend of spice and thickness and didn't feel too oily. Had this with naan and on top of fries because nihari fries are just so good if you get the right combo. I honestly could finish a whole bowl of this on my own. The store itself isn't flashy, it's cafeteria style with no seating, and feels slightly overpriced for the display. There is only one slim gentleman whom I think knows what's going on including menu items and prices and he is the only one who works with friendliness and diligence standing out among the rest of the workers, everyone else I'm not so sure. We ordered here on a Saturday night through Uber eats. The food came very quickly however it was cold. We had ordered the veggie combo which cost $7.99 and the 1 meat combo for $8.99. This outlet in Milton somehow pales in comparison with other ethnic eateries. The curries are watered down, the biryani rice has colour but no flavour, and the servers will scoop more bones than meat onto your plate. The lollipop chicken is about the only thing worth eating there, and they sometimes tend to be on the salty side, depending on how heavily they were marinated I suppose. A take-out for 2 with a side of curry could easily set you back $30+ and for that price, I suggest that there are better ethnic eats around. read more

Don't order too late as they do run out of items, so we do try to get our food a little earlier if we are getting silver spoon for dinner. The food is not mind-blowingly amazing but it's a take out fave in the area and always hits the spot. read more

Was in Erin Mills area and decided to check out this new place Hubby ordered the lamb biryani and I had the veggie combo I chose the eggplant and sag paneer which came biryani rice ..... it was delicious Service was out of this world they let you try anything you want before making purchase..... Don't have words to describe how bad the management is. Got stale kababs for a gathering and called to complain but was told i have to bring kababs in next day as the manager was not there that day. Bang for ya buck! In the past, I've always avoided take out only places that have pre-cooked food on display. Maybe that's the reason on why I was stuck enjoying their Chicken Seekh Kebabs alone for over a year. Maybe threw in the crispy vegetable pakoras once in a while but that was pretty much it. Now when I took a break from cooking and doing ALL my household chores while the wife is away, I got daring! Have tried the biryanis, potato & pea curry and dal makhani. All good stuff. I've been looking for that perfect Indian restaurant and Milton and haven't quite found it. Some are too pricey, some are too "gave my family food poison"-y, some are Caribbean places trying to act like Indian. Silver Spoon is well priced, looks good inside, and has a nice selection of food on the steam tables available for takeout. The staff shared a sample of their chicken lollipops with us and they were very good, juicy with a bit of kick (chicken-wing level kick). We ordered some favourite dishes and took it home to enjoy after a softball game. I like spicy food and have been to India for some great and somewhat spicy dishes. The food at Silver Spoon was right at the edge for me, almost too spicy. However for the rest of my family, the spice was too much to bear. We ended up warming up some leftover pasta for them. It's Indian food, you expect it to be a bit spicy but when the butter chicken even makes your mouth burn you know you've found a chef whose tastes just don't match with the majority of their clientele. So this is an easy one. Walked in one night around 9:45 and they were cleaning up for the night. One couple already ordered and I was the only other person in the restaurant. Five of the staff just cleaned and ignored me. Once someone of the same ethnicity came in they jumped into action and went to serve him right away in his language. Don't go there if your not a regular or you don't speak anything but English you wont get service at least in my experience. It came with a sweet tangy sauce that came out of the fridge, so the sauce was cold, but I enjoyed the samosas more with the sauce, even though it was cold, it was still good, lol And Last but Not Least! The Pakola Cream Soda! It's a carbonated beverage from Pakistan, it is SO GOOD! First time ever trying it and it taste waaaaayyyy better then regular Cream Soda! It has a slight ginger sweet cream sodaee taste to it, I like it A Lot.. I think I'm going to have to hit the Indian food market and buy it in bulk, to keep in my fridge, anytime I'm craving for it. Quality of the food is definitely not like before, using very strong unbearable smelled spices. Also the food , curries, grilled or bar b q dishes are not fresh at all. For the last 3 times of eating their foods my kids got stomach cramps with vomiting...there is definitely something wrong in their spices or freshness. Now my kids are so scared of eating food from silver spoon. They definitely sell the large portions or quantity in trays but whats the use if it is not fresh or unhygeinic. Silver Spoon Milton. We've been ordering from here for years and it has always been very good food. However, we ordered food (chicken biryani tray) on May 24 in the evening and by May 25 (1200pm) there was a bad smell coming from it. I went to the owner and was shocked at his response which was that they do not provide warranty on the food. The expectation that a biryani tray cannot be ok in the fridge until early next day is absurd. I won't be buying from here again. Complaint registered with Halton Region Health. read more

They keep old food from days on display and keep pouring curry on it to make it seem like its fresh. Their naan bread is thick and uncooked The place itself is not very clean. The glasses where they keep food are full of stains and oily hands from workers and customers. They just don't care to keep the glasses clean in the display area The service is poor and slow. It takes them forever to make naan bread and when it comes its not very good and fluffy. I tried their Biryani. Nihari. Kababs. Butter chicken. All sucked to we had throw it out. I heard the owner is a small kid who claims to be the owner but of course his dad probably owns this place. Perhaps I'm spoiled from Toronto restaurants... But I didn't really enjoy the food. Butter chicken had very large, rubbery (over cooked) chicken pieces... Chana marsala was very greasy... Inconsistent food quality, poor customer service. We've ordered from here before however yesterday was a different story. We ordered for a party of 4 (Thurs, April 20), our guests (incl. my wife and I) suffered from intense stomach cramps and the runs the next day. We couldn't single out which dish out of our $60 take out order caused the problem. Items ordered were: Sml mixed veggies curry, large palak paneer, spicy biryani, lollipop chicken, spicy Chili fish, chicken and beef kebobs x2. As for the abysmal customer service, make sure you know what you want ahead of time and gain a thorough understanding of the menu items and their prep time (of course how you would know this I don't know) I asked about how long it'd take to make more fried rice and I received a blank stare, a shrug and a sarcastic "a long time..."(I opted for the biryani at the end). We won't be returning here and will be passing along our 'runny tale' to our colleagues in the area. read more

Had their chicken kebabs and rice with chicken... OMG! probably thee best kebabs I've tried in Ontario. It was spicy but it didn't over power the flavor of other spices and it went away after a bit so you were able to enjoy the rest of the food without a burning sensation. I ordered and paid for lamb curry and they gave me beef curry, It is not a mistake because I asked to be sure but purposely giving beef as a lamb to save money probably. It tastes like beef, looks like beef, large bones are like beef, the food tray has no tag or labels so they can get away with it. It is not mild but hot like hell. Never again going there. I am looking for a laboratory to test it, I will go another time suddenly will buy lamb again and get it tested to expose this scam. It is not worth your money, because you do not know what are you getting, they should put property labels and tags for customer to verify what they are buying but they would not do so can continue this practice. The authorities should check all their locations to make sure customers at protected. Very disappointed, if there was a chance to give minus star I would have been better. read more
