I bought my motorcycle (2009 Suzuki SV650S ABS) brand new at Simi Valley Cycles in 2010. I have brought it here for every maintenance service over the last 13 years. The staff have always been great. They never try to sell me anything, but have always been nice, knowledgeable and decent. In particular, Chris in service has always taken care of me/my bike. I've gone upwards of a year between visits/services at times and he always remembers me and my bike. He's an overall good dude. The staff clearly appreciates repeat customers. Story: came to check out the used piaggio but was told someone was coming to buy in 40 min. I thought it was one of those sales strategies to pressure me to buy. I said I had to think on it and grab a bite next door. I came back after lunch and was indeed sold. LOL *good sign that they were upfront about someone else being interested* Worked with me to match me to my awesome bike. I got a great deal with Simi valley Cycles purchasing a new motorcycle, my problem is that I had an oil leak on my brand new triumph bobber Black and they picked it up this morning at my house. I know they don't have a lot of space in there lot but my bike is perfectly brand new and it's seating out in the rain. Today is Saturday and Bryan said that they won't get to my bike till Tuesday and it's suppose to rain tomorrow and Tuesday. Not to be picky but all my previous motorcycles never saw the rain and my very first brand new motorcycle is soaking in the rain. I would think that they would treat my bike differently but since I already signed the contract then I'm gonna have to take a back seat Update After I spoke to one of their representatives, they put my bike in the shop and they took care of the leak. After I got my bike back I noticed that there was a scratch on the left mirror. I called Rick and went back to the dealer and they replaced it. I was referred to SVC by a good friend so I just took my new old 07 GSXR in for a number of issues to get looked at. After being stressed out about all the possible things wrong with it I received a call from the service dept. regarding results from diagnostics and safety inspection. They did a great detailed inspection did the maintenance on the bike at a great price and were also able to save me thousands of dollars by having the great mechanics address and adjust a number of issues without having me make a lot of unnecessary purchases. The over all experience was great my bike is safely and faster than ever back on the road. Totally a night and day comparison from the condition I had dropped it off in. I'm am very satisfied and they have a life long customer with me and I'm sure with anyone who brings there business to the SFC shop. I came here today with my boyfriend so that he can purchase his 3rd dirt bike... Unfortunately we didn't leave with one due to the mute staff. Majority of the salesmen were sitting at their desks with their phones in their faces. With my boyfriend and I being the only two people on the floor at the time you'd think they'd come rushing to sell us a bike. But no, the just stared and kept scrolling through their phones. We probably wouldn't have gotten as frustrated with the horrible customer service if each bike was tagged with pricing information, but less than 40% of their bikes had that information on it. I was really disappointed, but we ended up deciding to take our business elsewhere. Somewhere where they will actually do their job, which is to sell a bike to a customer, rather than sit at their desks glued to their phones. read more

You can beat their price anywhere by a significant amount. Beware of the phony "invoice" scam. Service Dept has always been a miserable experience for us. Most their "new" rolling stock is lot weary and sun beaten. Over all they are less than truthful to their customers. We only do business here if we absolutely have to. Have your homework done or they'll BS you. Always an unpleasant place to do business and they know it. They want it that way. Update - I was contacted by Dwayne VIA e-mail after they read my review. Because of my extremely poor service experience at SVC, I've turned 23 potential customers away and referred them to other dealers in SoCal. Dwayne wanted to know what he could do to make this right. I explained that I would first like an apology. Then I wanted them to replace the carbs that they broke and glued back together while under warranty. Last I wanted them to detail the bike, as they should've done when they first left it in the rain for weeks at their shop. I never received a response. Sorry Dwayne, but this is exactly why SVC is getting consistently bad reviews for service... read more

My 2003 FZ1 started running crappy and acting like it was missing on one cylinder but only at low speed. I took it to SVC and first off it took them a week to get to it and they didn't even call me. I finally left a bad review on their customer feedback page and the next day Duane called me and apologized for the really bad customer service people were getting from Chris, the service manager. They finally called me the next day and said the problem was the carbs and it needed a complete rebuild at about $500 but because they had been so slow they would give me a discount. They called at noon on Friday, the next day and said they had the parts but that they wouldn't be able to work on it until the following Tuesday since they give preferential treatment to people who bring their bikes in on Saturday. They finally called and said it was ready to pick up the next Wednesday so I took the next day off work to go get it. I hopped on it and pulled out onto the street and immediately knew they didn't do anything that fixed the problem. It ran exactly like it did when I brought it in. I talked to Duane and he said they wanted to fix my bike so would keep it if I would let them and if they couldn't fix it they would return it to me on Saturday and refund my money. The next morning I called them and they said they couldn't fix it so come pick it up and they would refund my money. I did so and took it to Crago Racing in Van Nuys. Crago diagnosed it and fixed it the next day. It was a coil.. If I could give no stars to this worthless company I would but Yelp won't let me do that. Please, please, please never take your bike here. Take it to Crago instead. Crago works on anything and they know what they are doing. SVC, not so much. read more

Being new to the motorcycle world, this shop has been amazing! I bought a used xt 250 off Facebook marketplace which was recommended by them because it was a great deal. The bike needed a few parts to make it a better fit and they were able to order them for me quickly and installed them for free! I also took my bike in for its first service and they got it back to me within a few hours. I highly recommend this shop for anything you need. They were great! read more

I bought a used Triumph America here earlier this year -- my first bike. Rick was my salesman, and I had a decent experience. My current experience with the service department, however, has been less than decent. My bike went in on last Wednesday for some minor work. On Friday I received a message stating essentially that they had not looked at my bike yet, and they would get to it when they could(!). I called this Wednesday to check status, after a week, and they still hadn't looked at my motorcycle. I was promised a follow up call which, more than a day later, I have yet to receive. I definitely understand the negative reviews of the service department posted by other reviewers. Hopefully they get their act together, or they will lose this customer forever. read more

Worst experience ever after being a customer for over 5 years. I made a deal over the phone for a 300 Beta. Made arrangements with Jeff the salesman and Rick the sales manager. Told me to come in between 3-4 and it would be ready. I came in right around 315 pm. Brought a buddy I was converting from KTM to Beta. He was interested in a 390 plated bike. Jeff stated they were getting the paperwork ready. So we continued to look around the store. I went out back to look at the bike that had apparently gone through assembly by one of there mechanics. First thing I noticed was a missing cotter pin on the right peg and bolt almost out. Jesus who can miss something so obvious. Remember Im paying assembly and prep fee. No big deal I usually go through my bike anyways. Waiting while they fix this and the paperwork. I got cash so no finance mumbo jumbo I figure 30 minutes tops for paperwork. This other gentleman and his son walk in the store and Jeff runs to him like his money is more green than mine. Totally puts us on the side and starts helping out this guy. Sits down with him and starts doing paperwork. Really? Ive been here at least a hour before him. I wait annoyed but never rude or disrespectful. At this point its almost 6pm and there putting all the bikes inside. They are closing. I ask if I can get a discount on parts as i have gotten in the past after a new bike purchase. I give them the parts and there starting to look them up. My friend says to me this is the worst customer service at a bike shop. He never even seemed interested in helping me. I figure we would leave and I would let Rick the sales manager know about this tomorrow. I never said anything rude just left. I called Rick in the morning and before I start to explain he cuts me off and tells me I was rude and the bike sold already. Really? This was the following day 30 minutes after they opened. I was so shocked I would get treated this way. However it doesn't surprise me as Ive heard rumors of there service and racism. Looks like they play favorites to certain people. Maybe the owner cares more about his business than the employees. Read the reviews. Their service sucks. Beta should drop them as a dealer. They lost two bike sales that day. Maybe they don't care because bikes are hard to come by as are many things. Times will change and with your business practices you will feel it. read more
