Center 7oz Filet

The overall vibe and atmosphere is wonderful. Such a beautiful view of the city lights and very romantic. Over waiter, Lars, was exceptional and provided a great experience. The drinks were also good. I had a whiskey sour that was not on the menu but it was still great. Avoided the old fashion's because it's not served on a big rock which is disappointing for a steak house. The food was sadly disappointing as well. I had the roasted chicken and my boyfriend had the center cut filet which was cooked perfectly. For sides we had the Brussel sprouts and Mac and cheese. The food was not bad but not special for the prices. The bread pudding however was incredible. Also the bread and butter is heavenly

Great place for a special occasion like birthday, homecoming, or prom. Enjoyed a late lunch after a 24 hour fast; wanted a nice steak. Had a corner with a great view all to myself. Did not have to wait to be seated, even without a reservation, I got right in. A little pricey and out of the way, but every denverite should try it at least once. I know that I waited up 'til now to give it a try.

Google shows the restaurant is open until 2100.

We traveled from California and had a reservation for 2045 through open table. We got there at 2036 and they told us the kitchen was closed for the day. As we arrived the Valet guy without saying hi he instantly said "our kitchen is closed". That gave us bad vibes to begin with. This was going to be my second time there and was super excited to bring my gf for the first time. First experience was good but this time it was very unprofessional. We ended up going to a diff steak house close by (Mannings steak and spirits). They took care of us and welcomed us unlike Simms.

2nd time having Sunday brunch Buffett and it was infinitely better than the first time mainly because the crab was good! Last time it was not. I was slightly bummed that the price no longer includes mimosas but I don't blame them for making that change. Had good service from John and you can't beat the view. I also love the fountains out front and the fireplaces throughout. Prime rib was fantastic. Don't skip the cinnamon roll they are amazing!

First timer at Simms. My husband and I had dinner outside on the patio (per our request- I wanted to see the view). Patio was nice, fresh air felt good, our view was pretty clouded due to the weather - no fault of the restaurant obviously. We started w cocktails and calamari, I had the gin and tonic which was so refreshing w the raspberry and lime, very good light drink. My husband ordered the old fashioned which he enjoyed very much. Calamari was crispy enough without being too fried. Entrees were awesome! I loved the sea bass and didn't even finish all of it. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the rib eye steak, cooked perfect. We loved the au gratin potatoes that we shared. We got the bread pudding dessert to go and it was perfection with vanilla ice cream. Look forward to going back!

Sims is a great steakhouse and the service was impressive. The food was great excellent and the view is a reason for visiting alone. Going with a group helped us try each other's food. We ordered 2 order of the seared Ahi appetizer, shrimp cocktail, a few wedge salads, lobster bisque soup, French onion soup, a few prime ribs, a few rib eyes, salmon, and a few drinks. I will be coming back for special occasions.

A very nice place for a special occasion! I went here for the first time with some friends to celebrate the holidays. We had a few appetizers and 3 people got different steaks whereas I got salmon. All the food was really tasty. It is very heavy though- lots of butter! And definitely on the pricier side. The service was very good and helpful when we had questions.

Went to Simms Steakhouse for dinner on a Monday. It wasn't too busy and we got good seating for a small group of folks with a good view. With our group, plenty of appetizers and sides were ordered. I stuck with the bacon, but heard from the group that all of the other appetizers were delicious. For the main course, I went with the NY strip with a side of bearnaise sauce. Steak was cooked per requested, but the cut didn't taste as the price would suggest including a bit too fatty. For sides (no photos), we ordered the mac n cheese, broccolini, asparagus, scallop potatoes, and fries. I would say to skip them all except for the scallop potatoes and fries. The mac n cheese was not cheesy at all. Broccolini and asparagus were still a bit hard and didn't have any flavor as it seemed just steamed. The sad part was the sides came out super late after all the entrees came out so didn't really had sides to go with our meal. Overall, it was a good experience. I would go again to check out the view during day time and maybe try their lunch menu.

Great bar & restaurant. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The meals were fantastic. This is a very classic steakhouse with all the wonderful sides, excellent menu choices.

Ask the Community - Simms Steakhouse

What is the attire?

It should be Business Casual but when my family and I were there, some visitors had sneakers and shorts on. It is a very classy restaurant but definitely not formal wear. I wore nice jeans, cowboy boots and a nice blouse.

How much would an average date cost at Simms?

My husband took me there for date night with appetizer, 3 glasses of wine and two steak dinners it was about $200 with tip! You could probably get by cheaper with no appetizers, alcohol and cheaper food choices

The atmosphere is fantastic--sophisticated yet incredibly welcoming--but the food and service are what truly set this place apart. Our server, Shannon, was absolute perfection. She was over the top with her kindness and went out of her way to make sure every accommodation was met. Service like hers is rare and made the night feel truly special. The Food: * The Steaks: We had the Filet Mignon (served over savory mushrooms) and the Bone-In Ribeye. Both were cooked to a flawless sear, incredibly tender, and topped with a rich compound butter that took them to the next level. * The Sides: You have to try the Jalapeño Creamed Corn. It's velvety, sweet, and has the perfect hint of heat. We also loved the fresh shrimp and balsamic-glazed avocado salad. * Dessert: We finished with the Strawberry Cheesecake on a chocolate crust. It was the perfect, decadent end to a beyond-delicious meal. Between the world-class steaks and the legendary hospitality from Shannon, Manning's is a 10/10. Do yourself a favor and check it out!

Asked for medium rare- it was burnt/black on the outside and completely tasteless on the inside. It was super oily as well and lots of fat on it. The side of cheesy potatoes was drenched in oil- my partner didn't even finish it. Steak Bachemel sandwich was tasty but very messy. The fries were over fried so unenjoyable. Service was extremely slow even though they weren't busy. We waited around after we finished eating- for 15 minutes until I gave up and went and asked someone to ask our server for the check. I remember eating here once before many years ago but I forgot to review. I did remember it was about the same quality of food and service. Now I am documenting it and reminding my future self (and others?) to not come back!

We visited The Keg at Colorado Mills in Lakewood for dinner and had a solid, if unspectacular,…read moreexperience. The vibe is classic cozy steakhouse--dim lighting, comfortable booths, good for a casual night out. We kicked off with the shrimp cocktail, which was good: decent-sized chilled shrimp with a tangy cocktail sauce. Asked for extra raw horseradish to really make it pop! The new bread offering was much better. Super-soft sweet rolls were an upgrade over the previous offering. For mains, we tried the ribsteak (bone-in) and the sirloin with mushrooms and truffle from the Winter Grill menu. Both were cooked to our requested temps (medium-rare), juicy enough, and the grilling was competent with a nice char. The ribsteak came with sautéed mushrooms that added some nice flavor. The sirloin featured cremini and shiitake mushrooms in a creamy truffle sauce, which was rich and indulgent--the sauce was probably the best part of the plate. That said, the quality of the meat itself felt a bit questionable; it was tender but lacked the deep, beefy flavor or marbling you'd hope for at this price point. More disappointingly, there wasn't much discernible difference between the ribsteak and the sirloin in terms of taste or texture--both felt pretty similar, which made the higher-priced ribsteak seem less worth it. We finished with the Billy Miner Pie, a classic here: mocha ice cream on chocolate cookie crust, topped with hot fudge and caramel. It's rich and satisfying--definitely a highlight of the meal. Our server was friendly and efficient, no complaints there, and the place wasn't overly busy. Overall, it's a reliable chain steakhouse option if you're in the area--good enough for what it is, but the main reason we come here is proximity. Solid, but room for improvement on the star of the show: the steaks.

Food service was pretty quick and our server was mostly friendly. The venue itself had a good ambiance, though the sports bar like atmosphere somewhat detracted from the fancy a steakhouse experience. And the bread is amazing! Our read through of the menu was a bit confusing particularly between the a la carte steaks vs classic. Classic just means you pay more for veggies and a salad. We asked for prime rib but they were out. We got the 10oz filet medium rare instead. It came out nearly blue. They did take it back to correct it and it was better the second round though probably closer to medium by that point. It definitely needed a steak knife to get through which was a bit unexpected at this price point. They forgot both the mushrooms and the salad. The veggies we did get were bland and smothered in oil and barely cooked through. And the fries were very average - I would have expected steak fries or something not reminiscent of fast food fries. After bringing all this up, we did get our bill discounted a little but I don't feel like there will be a return visit after this experience.

First off, each time I've been here the service has been excellent. It's fun trying to spot them all around the restaurant. The food is very good and I've enjoyed everything I've had here. The menu is a bit of a mosh, but has something for everyone. The prices are just a bit steep for this to be somewhere I'd visit regularly. Food: - Caesar salad - very good and served like a wedge with full strips of romaine, actual anchovies, croutons, and pickled onions (unusual but I LOVE pickled onions and they're such a bright, refreshing addition). 1/2 size is a generous portion. - Cheeseburger with truffle fries and bacon - solid burger, tasty meat, great truffle fries. IMO not worth $26, but a good portion, tasty burger I'd happily order again - campfire old fashioned - good drink, but the ice really dilutes it (prefer getting a regular oldy with the single block of ice) - espresso martini - was told this was the best around and I have to admit, it was one of the best I've had. Love that they brew their espresso fresh and shake it up with frangelico. Absolutely delicious. We've also had the buffalo cauliflower, calamari, shrimp and grits, and lots of other stuff they've rotated on the menu. All in all, my favorite stop in Morrison!
