When milk tea became a hit in the Philippines, I did not hesitate to try one because milk tea shops sprouted like mushroom all around the metro especially around school vicinities. During the peak of lunchtime when the sun is scorching hot, I'm seeing a lot of people sipping their iced milk tea. Being a student and having only a small budget, I sometimes skip lunch just to grab myself a large glass of milk tea because I got addicted to it. It's ok for me because milk tea can be super tummy filling. Everyday I try a different flavor until I learned a new flavor from my professor and since then I did not change my order. When the servers see me they'll immediately say "O, si ma'am Oolong milk tea 50 percent sugar, no tapioca" This became my favorite and even though simple line means 15 minute walk under the hot sun, I will surely make my way just to grab a taste of it especially on my shark days! read more
