Got 3 estimates on getting the roof off the tree and fence and hauling away. We have a LOT of trees and have a substantial amount of tree work done where we live in Salisbury. I can not say enough about how professional and high grade the work done by these guys turned out. The big tree on the roof was a real concern. We wanted it removed with a lift so it would do not additional damage to the roof. Several people who stopped by wanting to do the job did not have the right equipment. RUN. RUN FAR AWAY…read more Our job was straightforward. We wanted to grade part of our lawn to make it more usable. It involved building a retaining wall, adding a downspout to help with drainage away from our house, bringing in dirt, and putting sod on top. We were told the job would take 3 days. It has been 3 months of hell, and the project now requires hiring someone new and restarting essentially from scratch. Corbett (owner of S&S property maintenance) has failed every step of the way. He broke one of our irrigation lines, he did not originally bring in enough dirt to grade our lawn to the agreed upon height, he buried two sprinkler heads and did not correctly compress the dirt which resulted in portions of the lawn sinking. We just found out that the wall was installed improperly and needs to be completely ripped out. Corbett agreed to make it right, but since the project needs to be restarted from scratch - the wall needs to be re-installed, we need more dirt and it compressed correctly, and we will need to regrow all of the grass - we are making the decision we should have made a long time ago: to find someone new. Best of luck to anyone that wants to work with Corbett. You are signing up for a full-time job checking and rechecking his work, hundreds of text messages, and endless phone calls trying to get him to complete a job that in the end might need to be restarted. I strongly suggest that you avoid the hassle and find someone else.
