The Loftus Store is one of two original wood structures left from when Laura lived in De Smet. It was pretty neat to go into a store that Laura had actually shopped in! The very nice lady working at Loftus Store gave us all sorts of information about the store and pointed out some of the things in the store that are original. This store has a wide selection of De Smet/Laura Ingalls Wilder souvenirs...everything from tshirts, tote bags, even jewelry.
