    THE CHICKEN BACON RANCH BUN
    Jill H.

Lots of people have been talking about this place, so I had to try it. The menu has an interesting variety of choices. I got the chicken bacon ranch bun. Yes, it was good! Clearly something to be eaten with a knife and fork. The service was fairly quick. Like the other eateries in Salt City Market, they give you a pager so you can find a seat while you wait, grab a glass of water, or get additional food from another stand. I don't think I eat one of these frequently, because I like other options at Salt City Market better. However, I've already told several people about Sinbun because it is unique.

What a great addition to the Salt City Market! Sweet and savory buns. The macaroni and cheese bun sounded good and I'm glad I tried it. The bun was savory with garlic and cheese inside. The Mac and cheese was very good, the noodles still had a nice texture and it had just the right amount of sauce and bacon and a sprinkle of bread crumbs on top The owner was very helpful and friendly and getting a buzzer to let me know when my food was ready is great so I was able to walk around.

The Mac and Cheese bundle from Sinbun's!

I got the Mac and Cheese bundle with fries in the bundle package. The fries were crisp and cooked perfectly in my opinion! The bun was delicious too! The Mac and Cheese was warm on the inside and fresh, along with the bacon bits inside the bun. There were fresh scallions sprinkled on the top, along with crispy pieces of bread I imagine. In addition, the staff were super friendly! I appreciate the fact that they gave me a buzzer to alert me when the food was ready. The Salt City Market is crowded and often loud with everyone talking, so the buzzer idea is great! Overall, the food was fresh, warm, and delicious! The staff were very friendly and having a buzzer is a great idea for this kind of place. I love the idea of this place, putting a spin on the cinnamon bun topic, making both savory and sweet buns!

    Cheeseburger Bunwich

Great food and service. We asked for a recommendation on the combo meal and were not disappointed. We got a bacon cheeseburger bunwich, strawberry creme brûlée bun and the garlic aioli for our fries and everything was amazing. Very unique concept.

Their shaved steak with fried onions and cheese was excellent. The lemon blueberry sweet was amazing. Great choices and variety. They are located within the Salt City Market with open seating. Staff was friendly, answered questions and provided very good service. Highly recommended place for some great goodies.

Their service is great and the food tastes fresh. I like that they are located inside salt city market

I find the workers to have a great upbeat attitude. The bun options are innovative and creative. These buns are well made and I enjoy their addition to the lively Salt City Market location. I have tried sweet and savory buns and both were great. They are nice and big, making it a great value for what you pay.

All buns looked amazing! Decided on the strawberry creme brûlée bun which was delish. Sweet, creamy, gooey goodness.

SO GOOD! This is a great stop in Salt City Market that offers both sweet and savory bites. Staff are super friendly, and the food comes hot and fresh! We chose a Mac and cheese bun during our visit and can't wait to indulge again!

They opened a permanent location in salt city market now! Stopped in yesterday after a walk around downtown for lunch. So many choices but I love crème brûlée so I had that bun (sweet breakfast/lunch). It was delicious! The bun was a cinnamon roll with custard cream and crackle on top with a fresh strawberry. Every bite was heaven!! The service was great! When I was undecided I think it was the Owner he gave me suggestions based on what I like. They have a beeper system so you can find a seat and relax while you wait. I love the salt city market concept so many choices so everyone in your group can find something to their taste.

    Traditional Sinammon roll

Oh boy are these delicious! I had read an article by a local food critic about a place that made traditional cinnamon rolls and savory rolls big enough to feed two people. In all honesty the traditional buns I ordered ahead of time were so good it was really only a serving for one. Picked them up just as they were coming out of the oven. I couldn't wait to get home. I had to work so it was eating at my home office desk. The icing is fantastic the cinnamon roll warm and gooey I needed several napkins and a wet nap afterwards. I can't wait to try a savory bun!

Walking through the restaurant was nice as the space was very large and the decor indoor was cozy and whimsical. Our server was nice throughout the meal. However, I did get a water glass that had marks on it that looked like someone just drank out of it and a crumb on the rim. I asked them if they could get me a clean cup and they ended up bringing the same one as the same mark and crumb were still there. For food, our table ordered a few items to share. We got: -CAULIFLOWER WINGS: The chutney/salsa on top of the fried cauliflower was nice and gave the item a little sour kick. However, the cauliflower itself was not cooked fully so not as soft as I wanted it to be. -SYRACUSE POUTINE: The appearance of the poutine was not the best. However, the gravy it came with was very flavorful and tasty. The potatoes themselves were not fried and were in wedge form but went well with the gravy. The small globs of melted cheese on top were a nice complement. -CAJUN SLIDERS: The slider compliments/sauce went well together but the sliders themselves had grill marks on it which gave a bitter bite to those parts of the slider. Additionally, the fried shrimp inside of the slider still had the tail on and so it was a bit of a surprise to bite into a full tail while eating a slider. All in all, a cute spot to see people but food had some hit or miss components.

The half order of loaded nachos was generous in size and toppings! It was filling without being heavy. All of the ingredients were fresh. Probably one of my top loaded nachos ever. The chicken parm sandwich was also amazing! If I didn't know this was a vegan restaurant, I would not have known that the chicken was not meat. It had the texture of perfectly cooked chicken. The stretch bread was soft, the marinara was warm and perfectly seasoned. 10/10 sandwich. The sweet sassy molassey was also quite good! Very bright, filled with vegetables and deliciously seasoned tofu. Finally, the milkshake! I would have never guessed it was vegan. It was creamy, minty, and chocolatey - like drinking thin mints! Even though the restaurant only had two large parties and wasn't particularly busy, we still waited 35 minutes to be seated. That alone didn't make sense, but things only went downhill from there. It was my daughter's birthday, and we were hoping for a fun brunch. Our server started off friendly, but that changed quickly. We ordered our drinks and food at the same time--a chai tea for me, a specialty alcoholic milkshake for my daughter, and no drink for her boyfriend, plus three entrées and a poutine. The drinks took 50 minutes to arrive. The food took over an hour and a half. During all this, the server seemed to avoid our table entirely. When my daughter's boyfriend finally managed to get her attention--very politely, even mentioning that he himself is a server--he simply asked if she had an estimate on our food. She stood there with her hand on her hip and told us the kitchen was backed up, with "three orders ahead of yours," as if that explained everything. We then asked if the poutine, our appetizer, was at least ready. She said they had to make fresh potatoes for it but that she would "rush it." Eventually, she came back with the poutine, plopped it down on the table, and walked away without a single word. No "here you go," no "do you need anything," and--most importantly--no plates. I ended up getting up and asking the hostess for plates so we could actually eat the appetizer. For a place that markets itself as a "fancy diner" with "Instagram-worthy" dishes, the service and execution were nowhere near acceptable. If you're going to lean into trendy presentation and premium pricing, you need the staff to support it. Hire more people. Train them. Do something--because this was unacceptable from start to finish. We won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a smooth, enjoyable dining experience. **EDIT** I would like to include the fact of the over priced, over salted, food items don't seem to cover the cost to upgrade your cracked booths so that people's bums are hurt from sitting on them. Needs to be updated and correct staffing issues so that food will be "adequate" for the price. Go anywhere on Westcott than here.
