No options, just bad quality. Gin & Tonic was as unloving as the burrito. Three years later: Food quality is a lot better. I still miss a real guacamole taste and radish in my beef burrito. Basically, the idea is semi-similar to a Chipolte except that Buro Buro has a set few burrito choices and some other select menu items. My wife had the Classic and I had the daily special, the Don Jullo. The flavor of our food was very good, if a bit cool (temperature, not spice level). Service was good, attentive and very friendly. We ordered margaritas but they had just run out of lime juice so they made some fresh. Unfortunately, we were done eating before they came. The whole time our server and the staff kept apologizing for the problem. I ordered a second margarita and the manager mentioned it it would be much quicker than the first time. So, at least they're trying quite hard to please their customers. Something I quite respect. Is it 'real' Mexican food? No, not really. It's definitely much more Tex-Mex but it's Germany. One thing I was quite impressed with is that they use a lot of Cilanto/Koriander. It's something that's required for good Mexican food but most German based Mexican restaurants don't like to use it because Germans, on the whole, really dislike the herb. Curiously, they even garnish their margaritas with it. The place is very new, I don't know exactly how new but it still has the 'new' look and smell. They also do quite a breakfast menu which runs until 18:00. We didn't get into that at all but it looked interesting. Anyway, if I'm ever up in the area again, I'll definitely consider eating there. It'll be interesting to see if Buro Buro expands into other locations as time goes on. One interesting thing was that it was pretty chilly at dinner time last night but their large outside seating area was almost entirely full. It bodes well for their future.

Just flew in from the USA/California Needed a cold beer and…read morea bite to eat. This pub rocks the host we're great. They did not speak English and I spoke no german but they made it work extra cold beer and a plate of pasta that knocked my socks off no language barrier hear. They made me feel right at home. This pub was right out of a old book just perfect I now have some new friends.

Me and my peers were mesmerized by their style and their offerings spending most of our Bafög there. When most watering holes in Konstanz were happy to serve Export beer in 0.5 liter bottles, the Wessenberg offered a stylish experience with hip music and a hip waitstaff in elegant aprons (they also had probably the first true Italian espresso Machine outside the esteemed Dolomiti icecream parlor on Marktstätte). Along with the Tanzschiff and the soon-to-open Rheinterrasse Cafe this was one of the most hip places in town. Fast forward to 2013: A sad bunch of near 50 year old Birkenstock wearing dudes hanging out on a Friday afternoon. It seems the customers aged with the place. Nonetheless, for old times sake, we sat down in their nice courtyard and optimistically ordered salads and drinks. Big mistake to order the Salad with Zander Knusperle! What could have been a very happy Konstanz experience turned out to be a sad breaded fried (probably Tilapia) fish nuggets from the bag on aged big leaf lettuce in bottle dressing nightmare. The Wife peeled the thick breading layer from the microscopic white fish pieces in a vain attempt to find some healthy protein in this mess. Big married life drama!! An unhappy 'where is the f$%&^*g fish' discussion ensued. The entire evening started on a severely imperiled footing because of this...only a couple of Spätburgunder 'Viertele's finally alleviated the impending doom. For old times sake, I really hope someone realizes the wrong path this place is on right now and kicks it back into the present hipster universe! Back into the Future my dear Wessenbergniks! Served with one bread it was a great meal in a skillet . The pier pan was like an omlette baked in a pan. So delicious. Great coffee and we were very happy to rest and eat here.
