After waiting for quite awhile for someone to show up I gave up and left. Now Sixt is attempting to charge me $850 dollars for damages it claims I caused. Be very cautious about renting from this company and location. It is suspect.

Vorsicht vor versteckten Kosten und intransparenter Abwicklung…read more Ich bin wirklich schockiert über die Art und Weise, wie meine letzte Buchung über Europcar (bzw. Keddy) abgewickelt wurde. Gebucht hatte ich im März ein Mittelklassefahrzeug (Ford Focus oder ähnlich) über Keddy für einen Preis von 137,82€ für 9 Tage. Bei Ankunft am Flughafen wurde mir ein völlig anderes Fahrzeug angeboten (MG SZ) - und als "Alternative" ein BMW 1er für xx€ Aufpreis pro Tag (zzgl. MwSt!). Zusätzlich wurde mir eine Versicherung "angeboten", die 23,35€ pro Tag kostet - auch zzgl. MwSt. Dass auf diese Preise nochmal 21% Mehrwertsteuer draufkommen, wurde mit keinem Wort erwähnt. In der Hektik am Schalter wurde ich also in eine viel teurere Variante gedrängt. Am Ende habe ich vor Ort über xxx€ freigegeben - ohne wirklich zu verstehen, wie sich dieser Preis zusammensetzt. Von der ursprünglich gezahlten Summe an Keddy (137,82€) war in der Abrechnung keine Spur, ebenso wenig wurde ich transparent über die sogenannte "Standortzulage" von 87,14€ informiert, die einfach auf der Rechnung auftauchte. Nach Rückgabe des Autos (vollgetankt, pünktlich) habe ich eine Abrechnung über xxx€ erhalten. Die ursprünglich gezahlten 137,82€ wurden nicht verrechnet, weil - Zitat Europcar - das "nicht ihr Problem" sei, sondern ich mich an Keddy wenden solle. Ernsthaft? Und die Krönung: Man teilt mir mit, dass die 100€ Tankkaution nicht erstattet werden müssen, weil sie angeblich "nie abgebucht" wurden - was sich für mich komplett intransparent anfühlt. Fazit: Diese Erfahrung war extrem enttäuschend. Ich fühle mich abgezockt und allein gelassen. Keine Kulanz, kein echtes Entgegenkommen - stattdessen wird auf AGBs und Drittanbieter verwiesen. Für mich ist klar: Nie wieder Europcar.

I may have gone a little over the top on my most recent trip to Germany. Rent4Ring surely helped a lot. Rent4Ring rents race cars by the hour. The German highway system (Autobahn) has no federally mandated speed limit for some classes of vehicles. There are sections that have some speed restrictions, but then there are sections that do not. There is one section, a loop in fact, of federal highway that is also used as a racing track. And because its also part of the federal highway, the track is public. Anyone with a road-legal car or motorcycle can drive on it, as long as the road is open and you are willing to pay the toll. Now most rental agencies prohibit you from racing their cars in pretty much any fashion, but Rent4Ring is different. The track, the Nordschleife (which is also known as the Nürburgring), is right next door, and renting purpose built race cars is what they do. It can be a little tricky to plan a visit to the 'Ring. Its not always open. The season runs from April to October. They close for weather, they close for private track days, they close when car companies want to test cars, and they close for scheduled races. I found Rent4Ring by chance. The car rental shop I had planned to use had no open slots. It turned out perfect. I got a small car, a Suzuki Swift Sport, with a fully fitted rollcage, Ohlins suspension, track ready tires, and a 6spd shift. I was the first one to watch the training video, get suited up, and hit the parking area. As soon as the earlier private event was over, I was in line with my track pass in hand, and then I was off. It was a truly great experience. There were very few cars while I was out, less than a dozen. It was a short, late session, with the threat of rain. But the rain held off until after dark, I had a blast zooming around, heart in my throat at times and the adrenaline vibrating in my fingers at others. The first time being passed by a flame throwing supercar at three digit speeds, and racing straight at the concrete wall of the Carousel will do that to you. The car did everything I asked, and nothing I didn't, and believe me it was plenty fast. A peak experience, you should try it yourself. A+

The car was fabulous quality, in great shape, I got a free navigation system, and when I decided to add extra days to my rental, the additional fee for an extra week with less money than what I paid for the first week. For 2 1/2 week rental I paid $350 and I was able to pick it up and drop it off at different locations. very easy to deal with excellent customer service and truly no hidden fees unlike autoEurope which charges pick up fees use fees and drop off fees that more than triple the price. Just follow the signs for Car Rental and you'll find where you need to go. You can check-in at the terminal when you arrive. Enterprise itself is on the 7th floor of the rental car structure.
