My mom couldn't be at this first appt, so when I arrived I explained to my bridal consultant Danielle that I wanted to try on dresses fully knowing I wouldn't be ready to buy one without doing another appt in the US with my mom. She didn't mind in the slightest! She pulled every dress she could think of that I might love, and was incredibly kind along the way. She informed me that she's actually the owner of the shop and spent a full two hours letting me try different things. I ended up falling in love with a dress, but knew I couldn't buy it before my mom seeing, so she took my measurements and told me there was no pressure, just to call back if I ended up wanting to order later. Danielle informed me of multiple ways we could transport the dress to me if needed, and was so welcoming to my family and I. I ultimately found the same dress near my hometown in the US, and ordered through them for the convenience of shipping and a tight timeline, but had I not found it here I would have absolutely ordered through With Love. I highly recommend anyone in the Ottawa area looking for dresses to check out this lovely shop; I truly had the most wonderful experience with them. Taem listened to me and knew exactly what I wanted. Not only was the experience great for me, but also for my wedding party...which was quite large. I brought 7 people with me and they managed to seat them all comfortably. They also don't overcrowd their store at any given time so you never feel like it's too loud or busy. Even though the recent refurbishing has limited the number of dresses they have on-hand and even complicated dressing room arrangements a bit, I was impressed with how the staff made-do with what they had. I accompanied my boyfriend's mother, daughter and friend to a dress fitting and was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the dresses presented to us. Susan, the owner of this up-and-coming bridal store, was equally helpful and unobtrusive. She and her assistant presented several dress options and ideas with accompanying accessories (i.e. belts and brooches). Hali was so easy to talk to, she wasn't pushy or stuck up like some of the other vendors we looked at. She even made my groom at ease... and he hates people, lol. Anyway, she had a few packages to choose from, you can even customize them! I thought that was pretty cool, i also thought it was cool she took payments, or other arrangements. Hali knew so much, and, she's a papered wedding specialist. So, she offers this part of a package that offers jewelry for your bridesmaids, and they get to take them home after as gifts. Omg!! They're Swarovski crystals! They are the most beautiful colors. She has a few samples there so you can see her work. She offers hair, makeup, catering, planning and backup/interferance (lol), bar, d.j. or other artist, and a whole bunch of other things. Our wedding went off with out a hitch, i think. Hali made it happen and that's what i know! Our guests were so happy with the place, the lights, that big beautiful tent! We had the ceremony, pictures and reception there.
