This place was everything I hoped for and more. I requested this for a date night. Reservations were hard to come by. We had to get a 9 pm reservation. It's so pretty and festive inside. They actually have real food to offer. Other Christmas themed location really only have small bites. My crab cake was meaty and fresh. My steak was delicious and husband enjoyed all his seafood. The décor and atmosphere were stunning everything truly gets you into the holiday spirit. The staff was very welcoming and incredibly kind, and despite the restaurant being busy from the moment the doors opened, the food came out in a timely manner. After we were seated everything got better gradually, service was good, food was great! Place is well decorated for the season, ambiance was a bit loud mainly because there was a lot of tables together and they have a Bar area very close to the Dinning room. Ambiance: it was nicely decorated for the Valentine's Day holiday. But I would assume that if it removed that decor it would be pretty basic. Service: we had a server who was okay, not overall great but the reason of the help staff all were great. Main course did take a bit to come out but was a busy night Food: starters we had the lollipop lamb chops and they were amazing. Had this perfect tasting sauce. My husband also got fresh oysters, which were available in any amount which I thought was great considering he is the only one that likes them. the tomahawk steak was perfect. My husband and kids shared that. (One thing we did notice my kids were the only kids there. Not that the place wasn't kid friendly We just observed that.) I had the spicy porkchop and OMG it was absolutely delicious!!! After that I we were a bit disappointed in the desserts. We got the cheesecake and chocolate lava cake. Both were maybe a 4 out of 10. Five Stars for Sinners! What an incredible dining experience at Sinners in Point Pleasant! We were lucky enough to get last minute reservations for dinner for 4 people on a Thursday night! We had to wait a few minutes for the table so we had some drinks at the bar while we waited. Service was excellent and the bar tenders were very attentive despite a full bar. The bar is large and has plenty of seating for drinking or dining. The lighting is dark but yet inviting. We were seated next to the window with a view of the water which was a plus for sunset. For appetizers we ordered 12 oysters that was absolutely delicious and perfectly shucked! They were fresh, salty, and tasty! For the main course we order two cowboy steaks rare and medium rare. The steaks were served with the bone and cooked to perfection! I am usually not a fan of steak sauces but their house steak sauce was flavorful and the perfect addition. The scallop risotto mushroom meal was probably the best cooked risotto I have had at a steakhouse! The scallops were meaty and delicious. The mahi mahi special was to die for! Like a lot of other reviews, if I could leave 0 stars I would. This is the worst "Upscale " steakhouse I've ever been to. Prices are ridiculous for what they offer. I ordered the skirt steak with chimichurri sauce. The skirt steak was bland and tasteless. The chimichurri sauce was swimming in oil. Not good at all. Everything is ala carte so expect to pay $10 to $12 dollars extra for a side. The supposedly "red snapper " was awful!! It was mushy and had dark flesh. Tasted like it was in the bottom of someone's freezer for a long time. We ordered 6 oysters as one of our appetizers, they brought out 12, and we had to pay for the 12. Not our fault!! My husband ordered baked potato he got mashed potatoes. All in all our experience was the worst!! We will not be back read more

Kimberly our server was great!!!!!!Unfortunately the food was just not good. We all ordered the filet mignon. It had a very odd taste and the cut of meat was off. We sent one steak back because it was way over cooked. They replaced it but that piece was even worse. The creamed spinach and baked potato were undercooked. We decided to go to Sinners Steak House in Point Pleasant Beach last night -- just me and my two adult children. We had been there once before and really enjoyed it, so we were looking forward to another great meal. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing. First impressions matter. When we walked in, the hostess at the podium completely ignored us because she was on her phone. After several moments, she looked up, almost surprised, and gave a quick "Oh hi." The manager or maitre d' then greeted us and seated us promptly, which was fine -- but the hostess remained on her phone the entire time. We even saw her later walking across the street to the parking area still on her phone, and when we left the restaurant, she was still on her phone with no acknowledgment or goodbye. To be clear, our servers were excellent. Every one of them was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. They went over the specials, gave genuine recommendations, and answered every question without needing to run to the kitchen -- something I really appreciate. We started with fried calamari (with marinara, not the sweet chili the server recommended) and French onion soup. The calamari was excellent -- cooked perfectly, not rubbery, with a light, crispy batter that let the flavor of the calamari come through. The soup had a nice beef flavor, hearty with plenty of onions, and perfectly cooked cheese -- crisp around the edges and melted through the center. However, it was extremely salty, which threw off the balance of flavor. For sides, we had creamed spinach and parmesan truffle fries. Both were very well done -- the spinach was thick and creamy, not watery, and the fries had just the right crispness and a pleasant balance of truffle and parmesan. For entrées: My son's filet was large, cooked perfectly, but again far too salty. My daughter's 20 oz NY strip was cooked beautifully medium rare, but also oversalted to the point she could only eat about a quarter of it and took the rest home. I ordered the 10 oz Wagyu special, cooked medium rare. Unfortunately, the kitchen sliced it before serving, which caused it to lose some of its juices. Worse, it was so salty that I went through four glasses of water trying to wash it down. The salt overwhelmed any buttery flavor the Wagyu should have had. Even hours after dinner, I could still taste the salt. When I mentioned this to the manager and our server, they were polite but simply said they'd let the kitchen know -- and that was the end of it. When you're paying over $250 for dinner for three (without drinks) at a fine steakhouse, you expect the flavor of a great piece of meat to shine -- not be drowned out by salt. As the saying goes, "Salt is the amplifier for flavor -- a quiet but crucial volume knob." Last night, that knob was turned all the way up. The service was truly top-notch, but the hostess's unprofessional behavior and the heavy hand with salt ruined what should have been an excellent meal. For that reason, I'm reluctant to go back anytime soon and risk another expensive, unsatisfying experience. read more

Beef carpaccio appetizer is huge; tasty but I prefer totally raw - this was browned on the edges more like roast beef. Sinner's salad delicious and big enough to share. Seafood fra diavolo was delicious - generous portion of shrimp, clams, scallops and mussels over pasta. I prefer linguine - this was served over thick spaghetti. It's very small inside, cramped would be the best description. Got there a little before six, didn't get sat for a party of 2 until an hour and 40 minutes later. I don't mind waiting if the experience lives up to it. Sadly it didn't. I've been to several restaurants that are beautifully decked out with holiday decorations, but didn't have to wait almost two hours to eat. Our server gave off the vibes that she hated being there. Drinks are double in price for what they should be, holiday cocktail themed, yes, but they were nothing special outside of presentation. The meat was sitting in a pool of oil, and the flavor was off. Instead of being tender, it was quite chewy, and it felt like the oil was being used to compensate for the texture. Disappointing, especially given the price. Also ordered the strawberry salad, which was tiny, had maybe one strawberry cut up, a little cheese and that's it. Very disappointing birthday dinner night at Sinners Steakhouse in Point Pleasant Beach. Started off good with easy parking in lot across from restaurant and seated at 7pm sharp. My wife's blackberry margarita was excellent and my Stella was ice cold. Waitress brings out 4 bruschettas which was very nice! We ordered the caramelized bacon strips and jumbo lump crab cakes for appetizers. I know bacon has fat but these two strips were more fat than pork. I found it unappetizing and the crab cakes were a total wash out. No taste and tartar and red sauce had no taste at all. Next was the French Onion soups which was the highlight of the dinner. The entrees and sides were NOT good. The skirt steak, surf and turf, garlic whipped potatoes, and onion ring tower were all served cold. We complained to waitress and manager and they apologized for the oversight. Manager offered to bring out new entrees but we declined but agreed on new sides. The new sides came out piping hot but the onion rings batter had no taste at all. In fairness, the waitress took the blame for the cold entrees and sides and manager took off one of the entrees and one round of drinks from the final bill. After all said and done, we spent $151 for a meal that was unappetizing and cold. We still left a $40 tip for the waitress so with paid parking the night cost us over $200.
