I plotted out where I wanted to go to Mass ahead of time. Luckily my sister and brother-in-law (who are not Catholic) ensured we got to our halfway point of Sioux Falls on Saturday evening so that I could attend the Vigil Mass. I figured this was a busy parish when I saw that they had two Vigil Masses (4p and 6p). Even during our current COVID climate, I've only seen Vigil Masses get cut, not added! I went to the 6p Mass and the priest told us that over 350 people had attended the 4p Mass. Wow! I could tell as I prayed prior to Mass that this parish is on fire for Christ. There are so many families attending Mass together, so many different faith formation groups. It was so amazing to see. The homily was given by a priest who is visiting for the next year. His name is Fr Mark McGregor. His voice was so calming and peaceful. I loved listening to his homily as he introduced himself to the parish and told his story. I even told him after Mass that I had driven from Ohio and that his homily was the highlight of my day. I told him we were driving to Yellowstone and he blessed me. So awesome! This parish is going to do amazing things. I pray that there are many more parishes like this. So blessed to have gone to this one during my short overnight stay in Sioux Falls.

Imagine my surprise when, because I am a veteran I needed to pay nothing to transfer. I literally still feel like I did something wrong. I would pay them a fee and even think that they should have a "fee donation" policy. All said, go to Blue Collar Tactical for your firearms. They are also all veterans.

Prices on the website are MSRP retail, not competitive in this day and age and seems to be trying to match overpriced Garys Gun Shop in their business model. Transfer fee is probably high because you can buy a gun online from a competitor and pay his $40 transfer fee and still pay a lot less than buying directly from his shop. In SF you can do a transfer for $20-25 at a lot of places if you call around, they are all the same, all they are doing is running an electronic background check, it costs the business next to nothing to process this for you. If they tell you different, they are lying. This guy wants pre-payment of $40 before he gets your transfer and if you don't pay it beforehand, he will charge you $100 for the transfer, not only that if you don't get it in 30 days he keeps it. You have to love this quote from his policy: "Please, we don't send mail to your house without telling you, don't send your mail to ours without telling us." My house isn't a business, yours is, that's the difference, get over yourself. Below is the transfer policy taken directly from his website: TRANSFERS ****If arrangements are not made within 30 days of transfer arrival for pickup of transferred item said item will become property of Blue Collar Tactical LLC. Standard Transfers:We charge a receiving/background check fee of $40.00 for standard non- NFA transfers. Blind Transfers:We charge a non-negotiable $100 blind transfer fee to release an item for which the transfer was not pre-paid. Please call ahead or stop by and pre-pay for any transfer coming our way. All items not paid will be sent back at original owners/original FFL expense. What is a blind transfer?
