WHAT AN AWESOME TIME!…read more Our friend booked this (party for six) and the bus picked us up from our resort (Playa Del Sol) at 10:45am. We proceeded to pick up another group of nine girls for a stagette party from another resort. Caleb was our driver and not only was he SUPER friendly, he was EXTREMELY informative and made great recommendations (Hello? We brought home six bottles of ice wine!) on wine (especially what was available in local liquor stores or not). We stopped at three wineries: Rollingdale, Indigenious, and Quail's Gate. We then dropped the stag party off at the boat while we went to Kalala Winery to try their 2016 Award Winning Icewine (luckily they had some in stock for us to take home!). We then drove down to the docks and switched places with the stag party and hopped on the boat with 'Nice-To-Look-At-Nick' for a stroll down the lake for a nice dip. It was really refreshing after a long day of wine tasting. Life vests were provided for us non-strong (read here: drunk) swimmers that wanted to jump in but didn't trust our alcoholic instincts. The water was fantastic! Nick was a great host as well. We arrived back at our hotel around 5:45pm so a full day! This was a great trip. I enjoyed, not only the wine tasting, but everything I learned from Caleb, a superb guide and our boat ride and swim with easy-going Nick. Very hospitable and such a great time! Highly recommended!

We received 4 or 5 tastings. We didn't purchase any bottles. The staff was friendly and they have a great view off the back patio. Some things to know about Kelowna wine tasting in general. All tastings throughout Kelowna are very small and once you do find a wine you actually like, they don't allow revisiting. Also, don't expect to receive tastings of anything other than what is strictly on the menu. Even if you are interested in a particular bottle and would like to try it, you most likely won't get to taste it. Another thing to note, don't expect wine tasting to be an "experience." Everywhere flys through the tastings. The experience showed me how grateful I am living in California and just a couple hours from Paso Robles.

They pick you up at your door and drive you home so you're able to just sit back and relax without the worry of driving. It is reasonably priced as well! I think my favourite will always be the classic Sumac Ridge. But we did try an organic winery as well called Sage Hills which was great too! Myra Canyon Trail is a scenic portion of the Kettle Valley Railway (KVR). KVR was built by hand,…read moreopened in 1915 and decommissioned in 1964. Myra Canyon Trails offers spectacular views of the canyon, 2 tunnels and 18 trestle bridges. You can ride a bike or hike this easy & flat 24km trail. My friends and I decided to bike this section and I was the only one who didn't own a bike. Myra Canyon Bicycle Rental & Tours (MCBRT) was recommended by another friend who had rented from them. From beginning to end, my communication with MCBRT was great. My email inquiry was answered within a day and they were accommodating to my needs. Upon arrival, I whizzed through the line as I completed everything on-line and then given a quick overview & test of the bike. When I finished the bike ride, I just follow the signs to where to return the bike and helmet. I would certainly rental from them again as their bikes are well maintained. Tips: MCBRT is located at the Myra Station parking lot. The road up to the parking lot is bumpy and on a gravel road. Our car made it up in 20 minutes once off road with no problems so just go slowly on big turns. Myra Canyon Bike Rentals offers 2 bike rental times: morning (9am-1pm) and afternoon (1:30pm-5:30pm) and easy to book on their website. I couldn't be there at these start times but they accommodated me. Bring snacks and lots of water. We bought sandwiches and stopped for lunch at one of the many viewpoints to enjoy. No water fountains or concession stands on the trail. Bathroom breaks: there are 3 outhouses along the trail. The first one is at Myra Station parking lot. Take your time: the trail can be completed relatively quickly but where we lose the time is stopping for photos for and with the canyons, trestles and tunnels. We could easily spend 4 hours on the trail.
